I really like all your suggestions! I feel that the nz knifemaking world would benefit from the greater structure/community that a guild and/or symposiums would bring. I found the show really awesome from a people-meeting standpoint but I felt on the whole it would benefit from being a bigger event with more people. Beyond removing the entry price and doing more advertising I don’t really know how to achieve that though...

Hi I’m from Gisborne nz and Simon / sgw knifes said to have a look at your channel, I’m wonting to do simple thing to what your doing with forgoing knifes and stuff. Any tips???
Many thanks to Simon he's a awesome guy, my tips are buy a good forge burner don't make one and the sooner you can start forging get yourself a block of mild steel as an anvil to start with and come hammer and some 1084 from gameco in New Zealand, hop this helps if you have any other questions let me know
Yea it does thanks. I have a coal forge but won’t to start to make a gas forge and I all rest have a 70 kg anvil. What tools would you suggest to buy nexts??
