Ok, i have a theory or maybe just something to think about: usually in these interviews he makes a lot of weird noises in between his sentences, in the middle of his sentences and everywhere in between. He just kind of makes tons of weird noises, but in this interview he doesn't. And a lot of ppl are saying that this is his "sober interview" where he's finally sober and isn't on any type of drugs or alcohol. This could explain why he's not making all those weird murdoc noises. In the later phase when he is on the radio station and is asking Damon and Jamie questions on the song machine thing Jamie mentions that he doesn't really do those weird sounds anymore. This could be because he is sobering up and maybe he isn't drinking his life away anymore and is constantly doing drugs now. Idk, this is just a theory and it kind of just clicked in my head. (Also murdoc is so precious in this interview ❤️)

Manuel David Rendon Acevedo they definitely are i live him but have no idea how they'd replace Phil. Not really sure why they got rid of Nelson since he was there at the beginning of phase 4. Noodle is very easy to replace because she's ages so much and Russ isn't around so much but Remi's accent could be easy to replicate

I kind of wish they included a "nice Murdoc" more into the Gorillaz lore. I know he's a bastard and especially for Phase 2 and 3 but having more relaxed interviews with Phil as Murdoc would be great! It's interviews like this one and the Facebook live ones that Phil isn't the angry drunk Murdoc. He did that more in The Times and recent BBC Radio live mocap interviews too.
