    How to prevent ur cavity from broadening

    • @dentalkart
      @dentalkart  7 місяців тому

      Dear Doctor you may try this
      Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID): Embrace the principles of MID by focusing on preserving healthy tooth structure. Techniques such as air abrasion, dental sealants, and resin infiltration can arrest or significantly slow down the progression of cavities without removing significant amounts of tooth structure.

    Guys, this is terrible form. Do not copy this unless you're in 1st year intro dent course. Doesn't simulate drilling in mouth. The small wall corrections are bad habits and the person does not drill parallel to the wall so the walls will be undermined. Terrible form.

    At 2:58 , would you elaborate further what did you mean by: “it shouldn’t be more than 1/3 of the intercostal distance” ?

    • @dhruv1019
      @dhruv1019 3 роки тому +20

      Intercuspal distance*. Basically the cavity width should be uniform and no more than the 1/3rd of the distance between two opposite cusp tips. For instance, if the distance between the mesiobuccal and mesiolingual cusp tips is 9mm, the cavity width shouldn't be more than 3mm (1/3rd of 9mm).
