That moment when he turned around to watch her one last time was the moment my heart shattered into a thousand pieces. Vicbourne was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen and that is coming from someone who very rarely ships. Damn you history :(
He was the real love of her life.....I think that's what the first series tried to get at. She may have fallen in love with Albert but the fact that they argued a lot and that he was an ultra dominant figure suggested that their marriage wasn't as happy as was projected......I think that's the case with a lot of life, we all find "the one" but most of us end up with someone more suitable and stable like Albert.........
This is the dumbest thing I’ve read today. Prince Albert was the only one who actually challenged Victoria by speaking the truth. Lord Melbourne was 55 year old man who cheated numerous mistresses. Victoria struggled a lot during her first few years of reign was because she took advice from him. Lord Melbourne never cared for the common folk the way Prince Albert did. His views helped bring Britain to the mordern age!
probably she felt attraction to him, but it was normal i guess, was the first male figure of her life that was present and didn´t treat her like a child with an empty head, but we never know if she saw her as a father or as something else. Albert was the love of her life, and she relied in him a lot , as her letters to him suggested, she was very dependant. As for Jhon Brown she probaly had felt attration to him , but as you may see there are differente men for a differente periods of her life. So every relationship is different, so there is no need to trash one for another.
No, Victoria was obsessed with Albert. That was her true love, yes he was dominating but he was no different from the average Victorian man of his time. Back then, men really believed women were beneath men, Victoria herself had that believe despite being a Queen. Unfortunately, that was what people thought at the time. Not to mention Victoria was VERY difficult whilst Albert was typical domineering, know-it all and stoic. Melbourne had a lot of scandals. He used to sexually abuse working class girls and had a masochist fetish, the show sanitised him.
And the last sound they both heard was the shattering of my heart into oblivion. Doomed ships are the worst ships - especially when historically inaccurate, but the chemistry is so beautiful.
I could not agree with you more!! I was the same with with Francis and Mary on Reign, I knew what was ultimately going to happen with them but it didn't make me want the ship to keep sailing haha!!
Brocket Hall + this scene = my heart = gone. Vicbourne is officially one of my top3 romances of all time and it was since 2004 that I didn't feel this way... now I've got: - Colin Firth and Jennifer Elhe in Pride and Prejudice, - Richard Armitage and Daniela Denby Ashe and in North and South, - Rufus Sewell and Jenna Coleman in Victoria.
I agree with almost every thing in your list (Richard Armitage & DDA definitely on my top list too), but I TOTALLY agree with Vicbourne. I cannot see Victoria with Albert after this, and that says a lot because I love VA in the VA movie, and I also watched this series backwards. I watched Season 2 before watching Season 1. In S2, I thought VA was sweet but not burning (I prefer Francatelli-Skerrett actually). After watching S1, i just cannot watch VA the same way again, at least for this series. Now my favourite is Francatelli-Skerrett, n also watching - oddly enough - Robert Peel in the parliament debates…). I want another period drama with Jenna n Rufus there. Get them on Jane Eyre!
This scene was even more heartbreaking than the rook scene, if that's possible, but they are related. Her running down the hall at the end is very symbolic. She is running toward her new life. I will miss the chemistry between these two...Good job. Well done.
0:44 "May I kiss the bride?" I literally was like 'Oh my god, he is going to kiss her' ... 0:53 *crying and trouble with breathing because of heartbreak* I generally hoped
2 things strike me about this scene as symbolic: Her touching his hands this time, as he held hers in the Rook Rejection/Brocket Hall scene, and then her running , as she did when they first came to Buckingham House (now Palace). I love the symbolism - their relationship came full circle.
😢😢😢 I was hoping these two would last. It pain me to see Lord Melbourne facial expression of being hurt and stunned as Victoria told him that her and Albert will wed. This is true love to have respect for eachother and let go when it's time.
Celeste Villamin oh, I cannot forget Lord M’s face when he realised Vic was getting married. When she talked to Leopold, Melbourne turned away and looked so shocked. OMG I just cannot get over that scene! Is it just me or anyone else find Victoria giving her heart too soon to Albert? Is that just being a teenager (no offence), or partly she wanted to move on? I find it hard to digest.
Me: *Casually watching Victoria* My mum: *Casually watching Victoria* My dad: *Casually watching Victoria* ///////////////////////////////////////////////////// Victoria: ''Goodbye, Lord M.'' Melbourne: ''Goodbye Ma'am'' //////////////////////////////////////////////////// Me: *Trying to keep tears in* My mum: *Tear rolling down cheek* My dad ( To my mum ) : *Laughing at her for crying* //////////////////////////////////////////////////// [ In a way my dad laughing was funny but Vicbourne also made me sad :( ] //////////////////////////////////////////////////// UGH! Every time I watch this, I shed a tear! Someone HELP!! XD
They broke my heart. The way she takes his hand, mimicking the way he took hers at brocket hall before breaking both their hearts... Can we rewrite history???? In another life, these two had the most beautiful and magical of the love stories.
It must have been so hard if these two historical figures actually had romantic feelings for each other, but couldn't express them openly. I hope that if they did, their souls found each other in another lifetime.
At their positions in society, personal feelings don't mean much. Everything is politics, power, and alliances. My God, give me a normal life any day of the week.
Everyone is reacting to the chemistry between these two actors. In real life, Melbourne was 40 years older than Victoria. This guy looks maybe 10-15 years older than the actress, maybe 20 at most. That is doable. If the audience were to see the real Victoria and the real Lord Melbourne, I'd be willing to bet the reaction would be different.
victoria had M, albert, disraeli and john brown. albert and brown she definitely fell in love with and maybe the other two but she was very close to them all anyway
Even though I know he wasn't (or yes, who knows) I like to think that in this case he was and that she kept her feelings for Lord M in a special place in her heart where no one had access to.
Seventh Moon I'm glad someone finally mentioned that because I've wondered myself. I like to think it means that although they never actually had a romantic relationship, that he was the closet thing to a first love that she had. I think it was her way of telling him that she loved him too - just in a different way.
I took it as, she means that she finally realises what he meant by her needing to give her heart to someone else.. She now recognises the hard life lesson that his rejection was trying to teach her, as much pain and heart break as it caused.. But thar, "you were almost right" means a part of her heart will always be with him, even though she now looks to her future and her marriage.. It's a bit like when one grieves through a breakup and realises with time anf heartache that part of their heart will always be with that person, becayse they're irreplaceable to uou. And yet its goodbye.. So she's thanking him for everything they've given each other.. Makes me bawl like a baby, this scene.
NEVER A ROMANCE.... YES, he attended Albert and Victoria's wedding but there was no "Oh, I'll remember you" moment - Victoria was totally and completely in love with Albert (read her diary) - this is BULLSHIT
I'm going to miss these two's chemistry on the show! They were perfect for each other, its such a shame we can't re write history!
She needs to contact the Doctor.
hahahahahaha :) Great comment
Fantastic response :D ... And yes!
We can’t rewrite history but we can rewrite the script of a tv show... hehe
Really? Do you really think that queen Victoria was in love with Melbourne who was 40 years older?!!! Wht is wrong with you people?
That moment when he turned around to watch her one last time was the moment my heart shattered into a thousand pieces. Vicbourne was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen and that is coming from someone who very rarely ships. Damn you history :(
sunrises82 they did end up together in a funny sort of way. Melbourne is the capital of Victoria in Australia 🇦🇺👑
I didn't even take my own breakup this hard.
1511KC I JUST LOVE YOUR PFP
"Only a fool would turn you down."
Just look at how quickly he turns to look at her as she leaves, and how slowly he turns when she's gone *sobs forever*

ikr! or like pocahontas and john smith!
Yes!! Absolutely!!
Carli McCormick Vicbourne is not complete historically inacurrate. C:
Carli McCormick it was actually correct Victoria loved lord m

JCF Productions. Me too...😿

In another life, these two had the most beautiful and magical of the love stories.
I feel her love for lord m is so true and strong she tries to hide it by her marriage and baby but I know
My god this still hurts to watch...How horrible it must have felt fir Lord M.
Its ok I didn't need my heart anyway
deeply love this scene even it does make me cry every time that I watch it ,... I shall never forget!!!!!
ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL KISSES IN HISTORY WITH SO DIGNITY!!!
I shall never forget ❤️
i could listen to him talk forever
I love story .lord medburn is beutiful e affascinante
Queen V and Lord M are brilliantly casted

he relinquish his love for her
Whyyy can they be together whyyy *sobs*
My heart hurt for lord "M". Hwe was so good to naive Queen Victoria. He molded her successful queen, in my opinion. He acted so well in this series.
Everyone is reacting to the chemistry between these two actors. In real life, Melbourne was 40 years older than Victoria. This guy looks maybe 10-15 years older than the actress, maybe 20 at most. hane not seen this show but looking for it now if only for Rufus
He turned around and she ran away
🌷⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🕊️🕊️
victoria had M, albert, disraeli and john brown. albert and brown she definitely fell in love with and maybe the other two but she was very close to them all anyway
Dammit the onions are killing me!! 😭😭
This is so inaccurate it’s hilarious. Makes Albert, the her actual true partner, look like some consolation prize
Even though I know he wasn't (or yes, who knows) I like to think that in this case he was and that she kept her feelings for Lord M in a special place in her heart where no one had access to.
Has anyone found the music from this scene/brocket hall scene?
=it's "Lord M" from the soundtrack of the tv series "victoria"
❤❤❤❤li amo!!!
Why does she say " you were almost right..." what does it mean to you?
Seventh Moon I'm glad someone finally mentioned that because I've wondered myself. I like to think it means that although they never actually had a romantic relationship, that he was the closet thing to a first love that she had. I think it was her way of telling him that she loved him too - just in a different way.
It means that she still loves him and he was her love even though she has a future with Albert
IMO it means that she found it not that easy to give her heart to Albert in totality, because a part of her was still with Lord M.
I took it as, she means that she finally realises what he meant by her needing to give her heart to someone else.. She now recognises the hard life lesson that his rejection was trying to teach her, as much pain and heart break as it caused.. And yet its goodbye.. So she's thanking him for everything they've given each other.. Makes me bawl like a baby, this scene.
It's a different version of the song Martin Phillips - life :)
Ok but the real Victoria wasn't so pretty 😂😂😂
NEVER A ROMANCE.... YES, he attended Albert and Victoria's wedding but there was no "Oh, I'll remember you" moment - Victoria was totally and completely in love with Albert (read her diary) - this is BULLSHIT
This is too much hearthbreaking
