    These are Olympic training facilities, specialized for Olympic power lifting. These are not average kids. People born/built to be Olympic athletes are 1% of the worlds population. The Chinese take the Olympics hardcore seriously, and weed out the weak very quickly. The Chinese have brutal Olympic standards and treat their Olympian kids like the old days of the Spartans. Its like future Olympian 12 year old kids running 5 minute miles, most people will never be able to run that fast even as full grown adults. Some people are just built for it. I can do 12 muscle ups and all the average Joe's at the local gym are always impressed, "like wow dude". But once i go to the Olympic gymnastic facility there are 11 year old boys doing muscle ups and all sorts of crazy shit like its easy AF.

      @stenerabekoting 6 років тому +4

      They are insane athletes without a doubt. But you're full of shit. It's not like they scan every child born in china for Olympic potential - and furthermore they're not "weeding" out the weak very quickly. You earn your spot based on performance like in every other country. I've heard this urban legend before and it always comes from dudes who call the sport shit like "Olympic power lifting". Lu Xiajun - probably the most well-known chinese Olympic weightlifter started when he was 13 years old - and he joined the national team when he was 18. He wasn't under some sort of soviet-esque training program growing up as you make it seem. Stop talking out of your ass.

      These are far from the _average_ Chinese kid, so using them as a benchmark to compare the _averages_ of the two countries is absurd. There are also Olympic lifting kids from the USA as well - USA competes in it, though I'm not sure they do as good as the Chinese.
      But I do think that the average Chinese kid probably is better fed than the average American one, though that seems to be, unfortunately, slowly shifting as things like McDonalds make their inevitable creep into those nations. Indeed, there is actually a rather surprising - and disturbing! - pattern to be seen in many "developing" nations in which extreme undernutrition actually lives right alongside extreme _overnutrition_ ... where, yes, starved/stunted _and fat_ people are found together. I think you can guess why this might be, and it has to do with that juxtaposition of western/global-capitalist goods added in to the more affluent/urban populations while many others still remain rural/subsistent and vulnerable.

      当然是直接关系. 但是不是人们想的那样.
      力量的评估首先考虑的是运动的方式, 技巧然后到神经记忆对肌肉细胞的"招聘利用率", 关系到肌肉纤维有多少密度, 最后才考虑到有多少纤维组织量来提高"招聘"的上限.
      如果普通人看的也就是最后那一点, 那就大错特错了,
      更何况很多健美式的肌肉鼓大 并非 代表他们展现的是二类肌原纤维肥大,密度,还有其纤维形状能有效做到力举和举重选手们能做到的事情, 更多是肌浆肥大
      然后第三是体型, 矮子的核心和下半厚又挺拔, 腿和手都短, 需要抬和蹲的距离都短, 这本身就是个优势
      但无论如何都好, 不要被外形欺骗

      Good answer Sheldon! Nothing wrong with lifting at young age but of course you have to focus on the technique and build a strength base in the beginning.
