Penmaenmawr in North Wales is sat on the A55 on the way to Anglesey. It's a place that most people usually drive through.
Today, we take a look round Penmaenmawr and ask the question, 'Is Penmaenmawr worth a visit?'.
We start the vlog with a walk through the small town, making our way to the beautiful beach, as we had heard that there was a horse and carriage event that day - see if it was worth it?
We then went in search of the famous, 'Druid Circle', but stumbled across some dark forces along the way.
As always, we finish the video with a well deserved pint.

Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint UA-cam channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. That's so interesting... our city's obviously on a different scale, but it suffers from the exact same issue, cutting off the shoreline with a highway. They always want it to be a more viable attraction, but people are put off by the way the expressway seals it off. I'd be so much interested in seeing what a visit on a non-Sunday might reveal about the place... despite being so quiet, it looked very charming! Thanks for this Rach and Wills! Glad you were able to dry off eventually!
I’m sure it’s a lot more charming when some of the shops are open! Unfortunately the main road is going nowhere, so the traffic noise will always be a feature! Thank god for the stone circle! Thanks for watching 🍻

Its a sweet little beach that not many tourists know about.
You can't go on the beach because the seals are usually there, but at times you may even see dolphins there.
West shore beach in Llandudno is an amazing sunset most of the year round.
I live in Conwy.

@@danielwilliamson45 yes, we love Angel Bay and try to go every year to see the seals. The only UA-cam of it we have is on our Aber Falls Vlog. I fear not, it took us a fair while to work out what to do when faced with sheep, cattle grid and locked gate - but we got there! Ah that was lovely, well done on the 800, it should be 8 million, im just saying, very well deserved. You two are so professional, your charisma always shines through, this was a different take, you definitely came across a place that probably on most days would be a disappointment to anyone. Only three horses not at least twentyfive and all the shops were shut. But you found the best bit, the stone circle was incredible! Definitely a place worth visiting, you have put it on the map! Your editing skills and music choices are always so on point. I know you both came from theatrical backgrounds but it shines more and more with each instalment you do. We have just watched you on the big tv, sorry for the DM, couldnt resist, after watching an incredible instalment of Stranger Things. Probably the best episode we’ve seen yet. You had your work cut out, but you absolutely slayed, your professionalism just smacks. You guys need picking up for your own tv show, genuinely think that as good as youtube is, its well beneath your combined talents! Have an awesome week ♥️

And we’ve made that pic our Insta story (we may be able to edit videos and music but we’re absolute terrible at Instagram, it’s ok- we worked it out - took about 10 mins 🤣). We are so grateful and glad that we started the channel. We now are living a much better life because of it. We get out more, experience more things and get to meet fantastic like minded people like yourselves - and yes a beer is definitely on in the future!! We are lucky that the skills from our theatre world help us so much on UA-cam, but without the pandemic we would never have started the channel (neither of us would ever have gone on camera - and then bam - I’m having to teach on camera and Wills has to do a lot of meetings that way! This is an awesome adventure to Pennmaenmawr, but the beach was quite empty once you got there, at least you got to enjoy the horses!

You are certainly living the dream. Visiting a pile of rocks in the rain keeping one step ahead of death and re-uniting a distraught mother with her babes and only stopping for the gladiatorial beach chariot race.

As you say the walk to the stone circle saved the day although the weather did not look too attractive. Your witty and entertaining commentary made the movie so interesting even if Penmaenmawr wasn`t. I too have driven through many times. I feel sorry for Wills though having a visit here and then, well, Grimsby. I share his pain as I still have a soft spot for my team, Notts County! We suffered the same fate just days before.
It certainly did save the day. The views from up there are amazing, although the walk was brutal!! I know, poor old Rob and Ryan didn’t get their Disney ending! It’s ok, we jumped sides and headed off to Liverpool yesterday instead 🤣. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words. Cheers 🍻

Not going to lie, definitely drive past here when we went to Blenau Festiniog last year and I only recognised it due to the tunnel 🤣

I did so enjoy the horse race...well I imagined what it could have looked like with more contestants. 😂 😂 There were some gems of buildings but I can imagine you might have expected something else. That was seriously one of the hardest walks we've done! Maybe we're not very fit! Once you're up there though, the views are amazing! Since this day, we too have just driven through!!! 🍻

The stone circle was amazing and that was Debs first successful capture! We took her out to the beach last night for another play and practise! We will get better! We had planned the old man challenge when we got home, but sadly couldn’t actually reach our feet for the next 3 days due to stiffness! So we have been making absolute idiots of ourselves filming that while we have been away, all good fun though😊. We have just come back from La Palma, its a tiny canary island but its a bit of a mecca for hikers, honestly it was heaven on earth for us, some of the best scenery we have ever seen🥰. Loved the tour of that strange sounding village Rachel and Wills. Also have to add a fourth word "confused" by the first three? We weren't disappointed by the horse and carriage event either. Great place to have a few pints and bet on the ponies! Reminded us of the "Drag Races" in Key West Florida. It's sanctioned by our National Hot Rod Association. (True story) The categories are how high are the heels they run in! Makes for a fun time and the proceeds go to charity. Don't forget to clean up after your Wills! Very picturesque village, I have stopped there a couple of times, mainly because I needed the loo on the way to Anglesey 🤣. Thanks for showing the stone circle, I can safely say that it will probably be the only time that I shall ever see it, there is no way I will be making that climb.

Let me just start by saying; the two of your are hilarious hahaha I laughed so much! the video had everything from humor, anticipation, suspense, even spooky moments and a big reward when you reached the stones! My goodness that view and what a place! The horses were indeed a letdown (just three?? lol) but still cute haha and the sheep, stubborn creatures, for sure. @@debsmostexcellentadventure5353 we did Jersey last summer as we knew we could travel there without covid complications! We did 4 days there. Guernsey does sound super appealing, I think there’s flights from Manchester! Geneva is top of the list at the moment as easyJet do so many flights in a day, although looking at this weeks news, I’m glad we’re not going anywhere by plane!!
