    It seems that our domestic Imagineers could learn a thing or two from the Japanese parks. Simply stunning.

      It’s less about WDI in Japan vs domestic and more about how OLC foots the majority of the bill not Disney themselves

      the imagineers are a big group internationally. it’s more about budget. the international parks that aren’t owned and operated by disney are more willing to put in more money than the parks in the US

      I mean, it also stands to reason Japan would be over the top gorgeous. The country excels in design. And the people have always valued beauty. Even centuries ago, even the poorest people found or created beauty around them.

    What's become clear from your videos of the other parks in the world is that Disney World is kind of solid, but not spectacular. These overseas parks are stunning.

      @hopegold883 15 днів тому +3

      That’s what I’ve heard, that somehow Paris doesn’t seem as awesome to people who’ve been to the other parks. But for the most part, the later a park is built, the more the designers seem to want to build on what’s come before.

    Fantasy Springs, along with Tokyo DisneySea, is just on a whole new level. I cannot imagine starting here as your first park and then going to the parks in the USA. The immersion is off the charts. That new Frozen ride is now on my bucket list. What an experience for Quincy and Emma, who were fabulous hosts from start to end! Looking forward to the food and hotel vlogs!

    Wow. Just wow. First off, the theming of this new land is just off the charts. The rock work with the hidden figures is perfect. Everything looks so colorful and vibrant. Secondly, the merchandise looks so cute. Thirdly, the rides. All the rides looked great, but the Frozen ride was absolutely stunning. It literally blew me away with its technology and effects. Lastly, the food and hotel fits the land perfectly. The food looks interesting and the hotel is so beautiful. Thank y’all so much for sharing this with us! I won’t lie; I was a bit emotional watching this. I hope I get to experience this someday.

    The Fountains!! O M G !! I could just sit and gaze for hours. The blending of the natural elements and the theming for the area was just seamless and so beautiful. I love that all the attractions were "family friendly". With my bad neck and back I'd be able to do everything!! The newer attractions at WDW like Tron and Guardians I cannot, as much as I would love to. I've wanted to go to Japan Disney since I first saw the concept art for DisneySeas decades ago. I agree with other comments that the US parks could learn a thing or two from Japan Disney. Thank you so much for taking us along with you on your adventure.

      @@eraser2592 I don't think the Pepper's Ghost effect is being used here. Lighting and projection is used to make Anna appear frozen. The projection is quickly shifted from ice to a warm/natural light, whilst at the same time the animatronic (Anna-matronic? 😆) springs into action and is lowered slightly to the ground. Also the fabric cape is likely held up via invisible wires which loosen during the transformation. It's an AMAZING effect for sure!

    I just loved that Rapunzel got some love as well, it's one of my favorite movies and my absolute dream would be if they actually built the plaza and castle as well... I also love it that they do their best to recreate the movies and, as someone who didn't grow up going to WDW or DL, I used to think that that's what those parks were (movies turned into reality) - I had completely wrong expectations and for that I was a little underwhelmed at first, but now that means I have to put the Tokyo parks on my bucket list!

  • @avecnayo
    @avecnayo 14 днів тому +3

    As someone who lives in Maihama, I have to say that all of the greatness of the frozen ride is due to OLC and Japanese dedication to detail and quality.
    Unfortunately, and I say this as someone who grew up in Celebration and the WDW resort, I don’t think Disney stateside or globally could pull it off.
    And that’s because as a society the Japanese collectively put emphasis on quality over quantity, and Japanese companies are beholden to that. Otherwise they risk their reputation being gradually destroyed.
    There isn’t this culture in America. Furthermore, obvious cultural and societal differences aside, American guests and international guests to the stateside (and some global) Disney parks have also proven that they will still come to the parks no matter what.
    So while the non OLC parks could come close, they would be missing that je ne sais quoi.
    I’m also curious as to what you two thought of the clothes that the Japanese guest were wearing in and around the park?
    While not often discussed, I think that the Japanese guests are the best dressed guests in the world, even during the humid summers out here, which are on par with Orlando, if not worse.
    While this might seem inconsequential to a lot of Americans, I think it also adds to the ambience of the park.
    While I grew up an Epcot kid, DisneySea is my favourite park in the world, due to the organization of OLC, and the ambience of a well dressed crowd.

    It is bad enough that Disneyland gets all the good food. What is this wonderful place where they put effort into things and pay attention to detail? Where the new hotel is themed inside and out and you actually feel transported to a different land? What did WDW do to some Disney executive to get treated like the ugly sister or Jan from the Brady Bunch? No hate towards WDW, I am a Florida girl and former CM - this just seems so unfair. Why can’t we have nice things too? 🤣 The Pocahontas waterfall with the relaxing vibes and detail, is an example of what they could have done with Moana Journey of Water.

      so the legit answer is that Tokyo Disney is owned and operated by The Oriental Land Company, which is a completely separate third party business that leases Disney IP to have in their parks. Fantasy Springs is a joint venture between Walt Disney Imagineering and The Oriental Land Company, but it's The Oriental Land Company footing the bill (not coming out of Disney's budget)

    DisneySea is far and away my favorite Disney park and this will make it even better. Going for my 4th (!) visit next April. Worried though about how hard it will be to get all the Fantasy Springs rides in given how busy newer rides always are at the Tokyo Disney resort. Will staying in the new hotel give guests perks at the new land? If so, might splurge for a night.

      @AllEarsNet  14 днів тому

      Yes! If you stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel you get access to the land and Premier Access for each of the rides. It is VERY hard to book though since it's only 419 rooms

    Fantasy Springs looks cute, charming and lovely. But it's not something I would look forward to seeing in the U.S. The Peter Pan attraction reminds me of Star Tours in a pirate ship, only you're looking at an animated film, instead of live action. Hmm . . . like Universal's Simpson Ride.

    How is it decided who goes on these trips?

    • @AllEarsNet
      @AllEarsNet  15 днів тому +1

      Our site editorial and production teams work together to decide who travels! These trips require a lot when it comes to UA-cam production, social content, reporting, and writing. They require wearing a lot of hats! So the reporters who travel are typically experienced across all of those areas. Plus, these trips (though FUN) are also stressful, so it also comes down to who WANTS to do it.

      Newer parks and the Oriental Land Company likes to put more money into things so they really pay for the new technology and then it rolls out to the other parks when they get the opportunity

    Wow this is the epitome of cheap for a company worth billions of dollars. They couldn’t have just given away that merch? I mean really. It probably it only cost some 3 y.o. china to make it for 25 cents
