I have to be honest, I had pretty low expectations before watching this video. But wow I am pleasantly surprised! Love all the tech in this machine specifically! The digital gauge cluster is awesome and that center screen is very cool! I don’t typically think that many players compete with Polaris in technology, but I honestly think Polaris could learn a few things from Segway!

You don't need screens, helmets or heated lip stick holders in a ohv.

Polaris is the biggest joke in the industry you must not ride a lot that’s all you see broke and everyone who has had one polaris will never own another one , no side by side should have a belt anymore yamaha and Honda made that apparent when you can buy a yxz or talon and put 20k miles without having clutch issues and changing a belt

@@MiddlePark actually, you DO need a helmet in a SXS. Look up the statistics. Wearing a helmet is the #2 most effective way to survive an accident in a SXS, second only to being sober.

    • @MiddlePark
      @MiddlePark 2 роки тому

@@pavmentsurfer13 "Need"? Nope. If you want to wrap yourself up with bubble wrap go for it. I'm a child of the eighties, you won't scare me with propaganda and statistics from vested interest. If some extreme situation calls for a helmet or wearing one makes you feel better, more power to you. I ride dirt bikes, street bikes, all of it without one. Might not be for everybody, but I enjoy the freedom and the increase senses you have without wearing a bucket on your head. Not hearing or seeing properly due to a helmet on the road or trail can be deadly. I wonder how many ohv/motorcycle fatalities would have been avoided if a helmet was not being worn and the person was operating their ohv equipment safely with all their senses unimpaired?. If your skill level does not allow for this, or you don't accept the risks, then don't follow my example.

It is great that new brands come to the market with new ideas, especially if they also bring reliable mechanics, there is no better luck. I think the segway will shake up the market with the hybrid version, and I'm really looking forward to your review of this variant.

I live in an area that isn’t kind to tech when it comes to cold.
I love all the “up to date” technology; I just know it’s going to crap out when temps get below our regular temp.
Tech is awesome, when you can utilize it…..bush Alaska ain’t the place!
Y’all work in Canada; perhaps you should look to bush Alaska for input, which I’m happy to do!
The amount of atv/utv usage in many communities in our region would surprise you!
Most villages use them daily….Nome included. Now that we can drive on main roads with atvs, more people are interested. I want to be a part of that transition!

I had a chance to check one out this summer and, I thought it looked amazing. The backend looks great, the fit and finish is better than the competitors' and the suspension setup is outstanding. I'll keep my maverick for now but, definitely amongst my next purchase choices. Only complaint would be the lack of fender/mudguards if you ride those muddy trails. And, my biggest problem was that it seemed underpowered for its size. Overall, I'm sure Segway will sell a bunch, competition is always a good thing.

When I first herd Segway was coming out with a SxS I have to admit that I was a bit close minded at first and expected it to be an epic fail. Now that they are out and I’ve seen them, not in person yet just video, I’m humbled to say I was wrong! I think Segway did an awesome job with it and brought a lot of innovation that has to have Can am, Polaris, Yamaha, Honda, CFmoto watching and maybe even sweating a little bit. Competition is good and drives innovation so hopefully the other OEM’s fire right back by stepping up their machines as well. However the thing that scares me is how that will drive the price of the all ready astronomical high priced machines even higher…lol.

I really like how it looks, they kept the futuristic styling subtle and well integrated into the frame imo. The hiccup with new brands to the market is always the question - “is it any good? Am I getting discount quality product?” which can shy away potential buyers. I think it’s a great move though, as they have a chance to learn and make small improvements upon the segment stalwarts. More competition is always good for the consumer.

We break them and it would suck if there parts network isn’t up to supplying.

Great to see new companies getting to the sport of side by sides , love all The features that this Segway offers I think they’re gonna come along way hopefully we’ll see more DCT transmission‘s versus CVT transmissions less maintenance better reliability.
I think Honda driveline on the Talon is still the benchmark, but the value of Segway is a bit more than what you get from others. Great machine, just CVT is not the future for the market, Too much maintenance, DCT is the way to go, 😊 thanks

Everything looks great. I have thought for years there should be more competition in the market . Usually competition just helps improve things. Question is will the dealer support follow. I was so excited about the wildcat xx but sadly the lack of factory support has almost killed what should be a solid competitor. That's what scares me about cfmoto , Segway, Arctic cat and some of these other brands that are new. Will they last or retain any resale? Will they actually hold up to solid abuse? Time will tell

Great video as usual. A friend of mine has this exact model and him and I went on a 260km trip about a month ago. I was very impressed with it. It handled the rough spots on the trails a little bit better than my Can Am maverick sport xxc 1000r because of the trailing arms. The only issue he's had is the stickers are coming off already but Segway are sending him a new complete set. I do know of one other person that owns this exact model and he's dealing with a broken frame. Hopefully it's just a one off thing. I'm very happy that Segway has introduced there line-up in powersports. The more the merrier. I think it helps in a variety of ways and they are all positive. Keep the videos coming!!! 🇨🇦🍻✌️👍

I am currently in the market for a sport SXS and I gotta say this one has peaked my interest greatly. The build quality, tech and styling cues are all great from what I see but my concerns are lack of aftermarket parts, OEM support and sustainability/longevity.
It is so new the question remains of how well it will last mechanically and accepted globally. If this is a "miss" in industry the people who took that plunge and risk to purchase will find themselves in an unsupported and discontinued rig with very few options to even get rid of it possibly.
Other than the "new" risk... I love this machine and is still definitely on my radar for purchase as well as the RZR XP 1000 and Zforce 950 HO EX.

Hi Ken. I'm really close to buying this exact model. Tomorrow actually. I'm just a little bit hesitant still because of the lack of info out there as far as reliability and parts availability etc. A friend of mine has one and is very happy with it. Any further information for me would be greatly appreciated. I'm from Southern Ontario Canada and mainly ride trails...usually fast and/or a little bit sideways. Lol.🍻

@@benmayhew373 So far reliability has been great. i had zero issues. i live in Cyprus and in terms of parts and availability in Ontario i have no idea but driving fast and going sideways this thing is amazing. Much better than the Polaris. In December i did the opening car for a national Rally Race with this and i can honestly tell you it was a blast. i was posting times faster than most of the rally cars and it's purely due to the suspension which is unbelievable,. They did a great job with it, it's very predictable both in 2wd and 4wd. Power could be better though, but it is as fast as the RZR 1000 with a higher top speed (my max is 130kmph) i also got the full winter kit and i recommend that to you as well.

@Ken Christodoulou awesome! Thank you for the reply. Hopefully I can get a deal done tomorrow 🤞. My buddy has one and the dealer he bought it at did a flash to the ECU and he says he can definitely feel the difference. I'm going to the same dealer also. If I end up getting it the first thing I'll buy for it is definitely the lower door panels. 🍻🇨🇦

At first I thought this thing looked too funky for my taste, but its growing on me.
I think we should always have more brands in a market. It pushes the current brands to do better and innovate. I think its needed. Polaris, and Can-Am do good work, but they leave some to be desired in fit and finish.

Competition is great forces each manufacturer to up their game. Lots of nice features that are not add-ons from manufacture which keeps the guessing game down on what the extras will cost aftermarket. Not the machine for me personally but I can see if the price is reasonable that it will tick a lot of boxes for those looking to get into the sport.
Another great video very informative but I’ve come to expect nothing less from you guys. Keep up the great work.

As long as they don’t do like Articat and quit building sxs I think they be fantastic! I love the hybrid concept of there machines! I have seen you tuber adrenaline junkie do a review for them about a year and a half ago and I love how they went above the look of a cf moto and sound like a snowmobile or sound like a wild cat. I believe they will be the next step and changing side-by-side history in terms of quality and technology with the features offered if they keep at it and build a solid reputation and don’t give up. I almost thought articat was going to make history with there wild cat trials and xx models. Oh well.

Love the idea of new brands coming in to challenge the old big brands. Keep them on their toes, which in turn should give us better quality rides from all brands. I'm excited to see how the hybrid version will be, and if it will be competitive with the turbo models, and how reliable it will be. I would never buy an all electric UTV, but I would definitely consider the right hybrid model. Thanks for the great content.

Interesting that it has great fit and finish. I wonder how all the closed panels will do when it hits any water holes with vegetation on the bottom. I would hope prevent 50lbs of junk to clean off. But would definitely suck if it all got stuck in unreachable places.

After watching this, wow! Segway has been around for years, innovators. I would definitely consider buying one of these. It definitely would be a trail side conversation piece. The technology is crazy, little worrisome with mud and all, but worth the gamble. If that makes sense. It has all of the sport performance parts and now I’m curious to see how it performs. Looking forward to watching your next review of this 🤙🏻

New brands used to popup everywhere and have no dealer network. Like CFMoto for a long time. you needed the smallest of part, it took weeks to get and people just gave it a bad name and now years later, dealers are everywhere. Same for Segway I hope. I know in NB, we only have 1 dealer so far, but that will change as they are proving to be a strong competitor out of the box and 64" will be a winner in my books.

It sounds like it is well thought out functionally and ease of use. When you highlighted the hubs it made me worry less about the long term reliability. Visually the frame exposure and lines look continuous and gives me the feeling the frame is stout. Your comments about the suspension is more evidence that Segway is focused on performance and quality. Your video is the first I’ve seen of Segway, so haven’t researched the price, but quality, well designed thought out competition pushes the dominant brands to offer more at a lower price hopefully.
