Actually, dps can be higher without Affliction. The status damage will be the same in any status effect duraion. For example, I cause 100 fire damage. If the basic effect dureation is 10 second, due to the effect of Band of the Fanatic, the status effect duration will become 4.5 second but the damage is the same (100 fire damage), which means the dps will become higher.

It’s an unforeseen design flaw isn’t it? Pretty sure they will fix it at some point, less duration should never mean that the individual dots deal more damage. The less duration on that ring should be a negative not a positive
@@100StepProgramit isn't a design flaw. It's a bug. They're aware of it. Because all the statues rings that affect duration are also bugged.
It is a bit of a flaw, cause before the dlc dropped increasing the duration DID increase the overall damage, but something went wrong in the code when adding the dlc and they're looking into it so the can fix it on the next or next next patch

Archon/Summoner instead of Hunter/Challenger.
Nebula instead of MP60-R.
Dont use Band of the Fanatic in boss fights as it reduces overall damage. Its meant for quick kills. Switch to Singed Ring.
Also during boss fights: Switch Amulet to Sinister Totem for maximum overall DPS.
Edit: Flash Caster instead of Longshot for Traits. You want Miasma going off quickly so you can use it between dodges.
Edit 2: You can switch Shadow of Misery for Catalogers Jewel if you want more mod power while exploring.
I am using an archon/summoner status build right now and it looks to me like it does a lot more damage than this and requires less mechanics and skills used during fights. I feel like that witch fight was just too long because of the lack of damage output.
Great vid mate, for the ahanae ring isnt necessary to kill the world boss of Yaesha, you can roll forbidden grove and kill the doe in hardcore :D on any difficulty
This needs to be pinned. I speed ran it and go it in like less than 30 min. you can run it HC and on easy for the doe kill and it will count.

I wonder which is stronger; energized neck coil, or sinister totem. Before the hotfix, I would have put my money on enc, but now I think sinister probably outclasses it.

So just a note you can use the alchemists armor, "academic" I think it's called, to get the band of the fanatic before you have access to the zealot armor.

Nice build! Where are you applying bleed and where are you getting your life steal to take advantage of the syphon trait?
There’s a Mutator called Twisting wounds, when upgraded to its max lvl 10, you get an additional effect, it applies bleed when you land a critical or weak spot hit.
In order to get this mutator you’ll need to get a lucky roll in losomn or the awakened king adventure. You’re going to look for the Butchers Quarter or Derelict light house, There both injectable locations/dungeons in losomn. You’ll have to hope you get a lucky roll, look for a passage way down, it’s a literal hole in the ground. You’ll run into a mini boss called gorge once you defeat him he will drop the mutator.

Have they fixed status damage yet?! because I heard if you have increased duration it just spreads that damage over the duration instead of actually increasing the damage based on duration and I'm sure it's just a single line of code that needs to be fixed , or it's the way that the code is worded that has it behaving, not how we think.
Example, if I'm supposed to do 10 damage over 10 seconds, that's one damage per second, but the way it currently works is if you increase that to 20 seconds it'll be half a damage per second for 20 seconds so it still ends up equaling 10 damage. So you end up doing the same DPS over a longer period of time. When it's supposed to go up to 20 damage over 20 seconds.. I like the ritualist as is with my elemental ritualist build but I want to build a. Ritualist build and I can't do that with the way that it currently works because I'll just be hurting my DPS.
I have a build idea but it currently doesn't work the way that it's supposed to because of this. If I made a. Build now. Based on the way that it works, you would actually deal more damage if you go negative duration on your status effects. That way it'll just do its damage faster. But you can tell that they didn't intend for that to be the case or they wouldn't have made the passive for ritualist status duration, they would have made it status damage instead.
I use a similar build for coop. But instead i ise the familiar mod and nebula. And i ise the "give 8 mod persecond" ring.
Becauae in coop you dont always do the damage and your mod generation can be low. So it was the best for the uptime.
And your dots are still really good. So i just need to "tag" ennemies, and pop my mods.
Super effective as support dps.

The ring that increases status effect duration, is the highest damage increase to status effects for 1 item
Affliction is a terrible talent for dps, it's only good if you want the effects to remian while you proc something else. But for dps you need the dot to be short and re-apply it faster. The lenght of time does NOT increase the damage of the dot , it actually decrease it. I guess it to try to balance the gmae because it would be too insane and there would not be any other builds...

@@pnkwolves I’d personally only not use ritualist in a boss DoT build for now , as the original comment said. It practically halves your dps with Dots except for overloaded. Apart from that it probably has the best aoe clear in the game with its prime perk and really good skills so it’s definitely useful. Challenger is also bugged at the moment so any explosive projectiles or summons do not get the damage bonus from its passive, just for a heads up
Hey friend, you can easily do the Hardcore ring by rerolling yahesha, until you grt the wolf boss, but you just kill the deer at the boss fight.
You dont even have to beat him.
So just survive the levels of yaesha, or better, make a tank build and run. Apocalypse is not that hard.

I got a ritualist that does 70% more damage and 40% more status damage plus mod generation per status plus 4 concoctions lol and 45% damage reduction
I can beat the boss to death within seconds with melee and lifesteal 😅

All these Status effect damage builds but no one understands that the damage is hella nerfed/bugged with the ritualist class. Throw all this on and test fire tornado damage then throw on the ritualist and see how drastic the damage difference is
Now, how did I know this video was going to contain the ritualist archetype...This build is actually the least insane status effect build you can make in this game, because of ritualist...Click bait.
