Pruning Elders and Using The Forest Master 6Hp Wood chipper

Hand pruning some Elder shrubs, just getting a light prune to reduce the height slightly and clearing the cuttings, turning them into woodchip for mulch using a very small petrol wood chipper. Forest master FM6DD.

I was on the fence for awhile about getting 1, but the size and weight swung it for me as i can lift it up steps and into awkward spaces etc if needed, so far i am not disappointed 👍

Have been thinking of getting one but wanted to make sure i got the right chipper.
I want something small I can lift into the van for small pruning jobs.
Would you recommend this and does it clog on leafy stuff?

I really like this lil chipper, its such a handy size, it can cope with leafy stuff (with a stem) as long as you dont overload it. They do a shredder version as well. 👍

I have been thinking of getting one but I am unsure between the electric and the petrol version.
Has anyone experienced with the FM4DDE, the electric version? They say you can only use a maximum of 10m extension cord. I would need my 50m extension cord would it still work?
Also, it's a 4HP electric motor against a 6HP petrol engine but the same 50mm diam max size. Does it make sense?

Dont know anything about the electric 1, petrol would certainly be more powerful. Depends on your needs really. Its a handy little chipper to have 👍

The electric one probably has a similar torque to the 6hp gasoline engine, so it will be able to handle a similar diameter, perhaps grinding a little more slowly.
