Say what you will about the new In Flames, it can't be denied that their live performance now slays performances like this. They've really evolved as live musicians, shame the music quality had to be sacrificed to achieve that. The ebst time to see In Flames live was around 2000/2001, just before R2R came out. (I like R2R, but I love the columbus 2000 vids).
I'm a HUGE In flames fan, I've been listening to em for roughly 6 years, saw em with Chimaira on their Australian Tour in July of 04, was an amazing gig but I was injured in the Mosh. I am defending In Flames and their change.

Yeah this is over 13 Years old. In Flames and Anders have a totally different Stage Presentation today. They collected a bunch of Experience on Stage....But not their Music. They where always fuckin amazing...specially in the old time. I love the new too. Its awesome too, just in a different way. I Flames i will trust forever...AUSTRIA!!!
@MC7283 They didn't develop. They just simplified themselves, depending more on poppy choruses and simple riffing, to appeal to young Metalheads. It is what it is. I can't even count how many times I've heard a Metal head say something like "yeah, when I was young, I really liked In Flames, but as you get older, you're taste evolves". But more so than not, they follow it with "But their older stuff still kicks ass".

We exist for ten years now and we can't write the same songs again and we don't want to do.
God I miss old in flames. New stuff doesn't even hold a candle to this. I like some new In Flames songs but it really is a drastic change. Come Clarity is the only recent album where I don't skip any songs on the CD. Sadly I think this band is done. To me anyways, especially with Jesper gone.

I think they still are melodic death metal, but this is how they should sound. Best In Flames record ever made!! Next is Lunarstrain and Whoracle.
