- A classic 80's vehicle playset gets it's Origins Remake for the Masters of the Universe Origins line. I compare the original toy to this new one and show all the new toy's features which really upgrade both the Point Dread mountain perch as well as the Talon Fighter ship itself. 2:51 Clearly Mattel is using A.I to create this awful looking stickers. They lack the passion and detail of their earlier work.😕
That or they are just terrible about blending and such but I doubt it. The Snake Mountain sticker inside was very AI looking also. But I guess the hardware is still nice.
The 80's point dread is better but the new origins talon fighter is superrior
You could say that, though I feel if you have the original figures, you should get the original stuff to go with them. But that's just my method.
I don't suppose you could tell me if this Origins Point dread would fit on top of the original Castle Grayskull
They are fairly different sizes on the base, so it won't snap in place on each other's castle.
It's also very different color as well.
The inside of the original also has a console. It was a cardboard cutout. I still have it.

Yes that must have been long lost by me, which I bet is common. Wish it could have serviced to compare here.
Does the Orgins Point Dread fit on the original Castle Greyskull??
They are mismatched so it won't snap on correctly.

No, they vintage has too thick of edges for the new one to clamp on right. You could just lay it on but it won't be snapped tight and could fall very easy, and there would be a gap since it can't really close. Unless you heat it up and force it on...but that's asking for a lot of trouble.

Why does Mattel have to slap that stupid “Retro Play” garbage on the Origin line? Makes it look cheap and detracts from the incredible art work.
It's a little silly and already implied. I could understand it for the first wave maybe to "explain" them. I guess it's just a marker for Origins. Ah well, I rip everything open anyway... hehe
I'm guessing it detracts sellers from passing it off as vintage
@truthskr7127 It sadly happens with these re-releases so it's wise of them to mark it in someway. I collect out of box so it's not much concern having it there.
Just got it on clearance at Walmart, came without the wings SMH. Do you think the original wings will fit the Origins version? Considering buying them on eBay if they will.
They would be different size and connection points.
This new Point Dread and Talon Fighter is still not available here. Mattel's official online stores are way too slow to release new waves and releases which is frustrating.

I even got mine a month after everyone else judging by other videos. I would love to get them in a timely matter to do the review videos. I just can't compete no matter how good of a video I make if I can't get it when they do.
@@MBXfilms Right. And Mattel's distribution in US and overseas leaves a lot to be desired. And they are announcing upcoming waves, deluxes, exclusives, etc. way too fast to catch up. Not to mention their Mattel Creations exclusives.

@@MBXfilms And they were still available here. I thought Sorceress would easily be sold out and become a hard-to-find character yet she is everywhere.
