New producers try and learn how to play keys by ear , try and make an 808 and fit it with the key, and then find the actual key of the bass notes, good way to start, loops are useful for everyone from beginners to pros but don’t just rely on them for everything 🙌👍👍👍
Honestly, I'd much rather hear a beat with an 808 in key, than out of key because the producer refused to use a tool like wave candy and tried to use their ear instead. It's 2024 now, these virtual tools are here to be used
@@arkeet1073 Ok but why trash on the guy for giving advice, what's easy for you is not easy for everyone. God leave it to the creative scene to be arrogant about how people learn things
I use a bit different way to get the bass notes, especially when it's stems, maybe you can make a video for the peeps as well. So, just by dragging loop in to the New Tone, imo that's kinda easier and faster. HF
This seems so uninspired to me. I mean not this video, but rather the entire concept of stealing loops / melodies and just slapping some basic ass drums over it and calling it a day ? Is this really what y'all wanted to do when you started producing music?
Honestly, I kinda get what you're saying. But if all of your creativity is in the melody and you don't add unique elements in your drums then I think that's a problem in itself. I personally think the uniqueness of my sound comes from my basslines
@@ListenUpJames yeah, as soon as you make own basslines, you are already doing alot more than just copying and pasting. At the end, people should do what they want to do, i just dont get how there are literally people speedrunning beatmaking

@@5ivestar65if they can’t do it by ear idk if making beats is really their thing 😅
@@Austin-vo2gh everybody starts somewhere, u not gon be able to do it straight away
Agreed. I've heard out of key 808s on some of the biggest songs, which would've been avoided if they followed this method
@@ListenUpJames which big songs?
You give too much sauce🔥

@@ListenUpJames dawg thats a skill issue, its so damn easy to stay in key by ear
@@arkeet1073 I’m teaching people how to make music. Telling them “play your 808 in key using your ear” isn’t much help to beginners

Nothing wrong with using loops but this isn’t a flip…
