@Hominus Nocturna agreed. Sick of fanboys telling me it's my fault for expecting a functioning, beautiful game on the xbox one s instead of the mustard stain I got, because my xbox is "older". Weak ass excuse, man
The fact that you hyped this game up so much and then cover it in this way makes you look dishonest. Like you didn't play a role in getting people to buy this game. It feels like you will cover things based only on whatever the current popular opinion is, and whatever will get you clicks.
As some one that watches gaming news and reviews I regard myself as being knowledgeable on games. So when I avidly tell people this game will be a masterpiece... and it turns out like Fallout 76 it makes me look stupid!!! Good luck repairing that CDPR!!!
Kids this is WHY YOU DO NOT PRE-ORDER. I have been playing video games for over 3 decades (I had an 8088 playing games at home since the 80s and arcades before that) and THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME A SUPER HYPE game turned bad... AND IT WILL NOT BE THE LAST. I bought and have an original copy of Atari's ET. That game was so hyped and so buggy and so bad it caused Atari, the leading console at the time, to fold and stop making video games for nearly a decade! I could rant on how many OTHER games came out that were over hyped... and you know what. Most companies DO NOT CARE! They have your money and laughing all the way to the BANK. CD Projek Red has made all their money back and THEN some. The CEO has ordered a round of strippers and blo for their top executive staff and are still laughing at you and calling the bank seeing how much more money they are getting! !!
"We ignored the signals" - yeah they ignored it so much they went out of their way to HIDE the way it performs on base consoles, so that people wouldn't cancel their preorder
@Strawberry Kiys yup. They are assholes for refunds. They don’t even answer their phones or chat support. Saying we’re too busy atm or chat didn’t work for you
@@banner7310 Game seems fine for the 25million people on Steam and the 200k positive reviews. I also haven't had any issues other than framerate and pop in on console so *shrug* willing to bet people complaining about bugs, most of them probably haven't even played the game. Wonder if you have?
They backed themselves into a corner they couldn’t get out of. If they delayed the game again, it would create uproar. If they released now, unfinished, it would create uproar. Lose lose situation.

Y'know I've been quiet for most of this drama just because I don't ever really voice stuff online cus I don't see a point. I bought the game on the base ps4 on release. I have never bought on release in my life. I put my trust into CDPRK because I believed they would deliver a product that they could be proud of and that I could enjoy considering they've been in development for 8 years. This has immediately made me realize why I'm a patient gamer and I'll probably never buy on release again. I'm glad many people can enjoy the game on PC or higher gen consoles but it's so genuinely frustrating when I paid 60 dollars to play a game and I'm met with a product that barely passes 10 fps and is impossible to operate. The worst part is that I can't even get my refund so I pretty much have to just wait it out and hope I can play it in a month or two. CDPRK charged me 60 dollars to wait for another delay. Now, I rather enjoy the content of the game but with the state it's in I have no intention of playing it until February at least. I realize I'm ranting at nothing but it's really frustrating being excited for a launch, paying a lot of money (for me because I don't have an income), and then being told to wait to actually be able to play the game while everyone else can enjoy it even with bugs. If someone does read this, never buy on launch, and if you were unfortunate enough to buy it on a base console like me hoping for a good game, I really hope they fix it. Wear your seatbelt, thanks.
I feel you man, I'm exactly in the same situation. Why don't you try to get in contact with CDPR directly? After Playstation denied my refund request I contacted them, I've only gotten an automated email back but I'm still hoping to get my money back.
@@kino9521 I've heard that CDPR is really only replying to people who got a physical copy from retailers where it's harder to return. They don't have the infrastructure to facilitate refunds as they so implied. Refunds are not guaranteed by CDPR, the best we can do is hope Sony adds an exception (which most likely won't happen) or maybe that CD will get in contact with Sony to add an exception for us. In addition, CD is being flooded with emails from people who want their money back so most people have been waiting days to hear back and they most likely won't. I'm sorry you're in a situation like me man, I know how frustrating this is but genuinely the best we can hope for is them implementing a way to get refunds or wait for the game to be fixed.
Dude the game will be fixed and probably there will be compensation for PS4 and XBOX One owners, just be patient. I have a physical copy of the game and I am not going to play the game until they drop the january and february patches that will fix most common bugs and performance issues. Where was Sony quality team though? They never release a game on their platform unless it checks all the marks, they let this happen. Also CDPR did not charge you 60 dollars, most of it went to Sony directly since it was not an exclusive.
That's on your own for breaking that important tenet also.. CDPR are not known to deliver a good product out of the door.. people tend to forget but CDPR are known for fixing their buggy mess of a game and giving tons of plus value to customer like free DLC.
gotta wait for the Complete Edition just like Witcher 3 😅 Edit: Yes it took a lot of patches but Witcher 3 benefited from that, a year later it broke records & delivered DLCs the same quality as the main story. This was the model that all companies should have taken regarding DLC content, expansions that actually expand the world with fresh new quests that tied everything together. This should be the same route CDPR takes moving forward
They lost it just because they tried to manipulate reviews scores with their maneuver of no "own footage, just b roll" and the "no console footage allowed" embargo policy. They were caught red handed and are trying to apologize for that. Fuck that!
Unfortunately. They were one of the rare developers who seemed to actually care about not only their fans but the content they made and overnight the trust people had in them pretty much went away. I'm playing it on Xbox One X and man does it have serious bugs and crash.. I tried playing a side mission yesterday and just when I was about to complete it the game crashed. I was so frustrated I turned the Xbox off and walked away haha
You need to really highlight the PR of CDPR because that's what they're good at, creating an atmosphere of trust and die hard fan boys to hide scummy behaviour
Indeed, *"Trust comes on foot, but leaves on horseback."* as it's all too easy to make one single, but critical, stupid mistake that leads to all the developers' hard work being ruined by the incompetence of upper management and the sheer arrogance and greed of investors. PROJEKT RED knew the game is shit. It runs like trash on GTX 3070 on 1440P in the dense areas. If people pay top dollar for their hardware they expect good performance on all games on 1440P. PROJEKTRED knew there was very little optimization and still released the game anyways. Fucking shit company for sure. Who would have thought Ubisoft would be the winner of 2020
@@howardjones1388 dude have you seen how the base consoles look / play like? Literally polygons and cars randomly exploding to say the least lol. They didn't take my money cause I didn't even try to buy the game, I never go on any hype train cause of this shit. Ill wait for a decent sale at least!
They would've made more money if they delayed it a year later. Maybe instead of controversy they would've had satisfied customers telling their friends to get the game. I like it myself(for the main story/side missions) but I did not recommend it to my friends like I wanted to cause they all play on the PS4/PS5 and even though the game is currently "playable" it's still missing key features that would've made it worth recommending like a good police system for example. The graphics aren't holding the game back on last gen it's the fact that too much needs to be loaded in at one time(in short too much to render). They could've scaled back in many areas to make it work/look better but they clearly didn't spend enough time fixing it. They just wanted to make the deadline even to avoid loosing preorders. But if they just released a good game months to a year later then those people would eventually get the game. The execs at CDPR made the worst possible choice rushing the game out the window. Smh
Not really. They got their money back and a lot of profit, the share lost will be reflected in the future but when they will patch this shit the stocks will go up and maybe exceed as long as the sales are steady, next gen versions are sold ,DLC are announced, multiplayer etc. They knew exactly what they were doing. There's not a really consumer regulatory game agency out there and these companies know this. They sold a "car without windows" and literally don't give a fuck about it. People have to stop pre orders for any game.

@Lady Fervor You're playing on regular Xbox One and you're saying you haven't hardly found bugs? No offense, i doubt it. Your comment sounds a bit like bait but anyway. There are many captures of both base consoles (XOne and PS4) having hard times running the game and bugs as well. Digital Foundry released a video talking about how it runs on last gen consoles (XOne and PS4) and there was a situation where the XOne version literally froze for a whole minute while it was trying to figure out how to keep the game running. It wasn't a crash, just the console freaking out with the game. If you think that's not a bug on the game, then there's nothing else I can tell you.

That's on your own for breaking that important tenet
also.. CDPR are not known to deliver a good product out of the door.. people tend to forget but CDPR are known for fixing their buggy mess of a game and giving tons of plus value to customer like free DLC.

Tbh on pc it is one of the most beautiful and well written games i played. Got 50h so far and tons of fun. Sure there are some bugs but nothing gamebreaking. Only a few immersion breaking bugs mostly regarding clipping character models. The atmosphere and setting is still great tho. 60€ well spent imo.
CDPR: “ We’ll fix the game at a later date”
BUYER’S: “Cool, we’ll pay for it at a later date”
That it is how it should be in general, Project Red or not. But I guess thats hard to understand for some people.
"We had no intention of pushing the game out early and is against our policies." LOL yeah right. As if we'll just fall for that considering that's been EVERY single AAA game of the last decade.
That was more for the investors but yeah
Oh hi there Tommy
Sounds like you're fed up with this world friend, I hope it's not tearing you apart, but you know, that's life.
@@Peasham doesn't change the fact that that message was aimed at the investors
Imagine taking the time to complete your game.
Hades: *flexes*
CDPR execs pre-release: "The game plays well on base consoles!"
CDPR execs after disastrous release: "Well we put more effort towards PC performance. Don't focus on the fact that we straight up lied and tried to cover it up!"
Also CDPR execs post-release: "Hey, check it out! All those pre-orders that we scammed a majority of our base with ended up paying the games production costs off! Feel free to ask for refunds though, we'll leave it up to the other guys to determine if you're eligible or not. Peace!"
Dude Microsoft refunds are rolling smoothly, Sony is the one holding back when they clearly have a bad product that does not fit the description given, that is their policy, CDPR can literally do nothing but fix the game for you ASAP leaving the PC community on hold
@@blacknemesy or they could have been truthful and worked to make a usable game. Stop making excuses for their crappy practices.
I'm pretty sure that's because refunds are non-issue in EU so they went based on that. Alas, US gonna US.
@@paulh.7833 I bet you were on the hype-train like everyone else. They were working on a massive project which is insanely difficult.
Now they slip up once and suddenly all that trust and hype is gone? That means you never really trusted them to begin with.
Did they slip up and were they dishonest, definitely. Does that mean you need to drop a gaming studio that has had a good rep for years, no.
Especially if you still play shit from EA, Ubisoft and all those micro-transaction injecting asshole studios, consider how hypocritical your statements are.
If you don't, then a little faith goes a long way. I mean if No man's Sky can pull off a fixing-binge than CDPR definitely can.
@@Rope257 They are a company to whom you pay 60 bucks for a product. That's it. Stop romanticising your 'trust' for a videogame company, they are not your lovers for God's sake. They sold people a videogame, and did a bad job doing it. You as a consumer have a right and a duty to call them out. Fucking hold them accountable, they are not children.

Still waiting for GOG to refund me. It's been almost a week at this point.
I got my refund in an hour from the Epic game store. The same epic game store that people make fun of.
