We need politicians to actually be accountable to us the voters and for them to act in our interests, not their own. We also need corporations and billionaires to pay their fair share. Was it good? Not really. But did it provide stability? Surprisingly so. Yes it fell, but it wasn't exactly overnight. -I'm told democracy was good...but when did we vote to support Ukraine? Democracy we vote on EVERYTHING. Republic is a decent system too, and that's older then democracy. The main this is simple. I want to know if I do A,B,C. I'll have a stable future. Democracy just doesn't promise that anymore. And yes, the Royal Family is corrupt. But the difference is that we will never lose them because of tourism. So why not at least use them?
