I've always liked that that not only did Tekken 4 differentiate Jin from being a mash of Kazuya and Jun, making him his own character, but they gave a great in-story reason for why his style changed. The kind of effort I wish more fighting games put in.
That's right. Before her passing Jun had told Jin to seek out Heihachi should anything happen to her. On tekkenpedia it states how he loved his grandfather so when he was betrayed by Heihachi he began despising his heritage and even his fighting style :)
No he I think he meant was both combot and mokujin have the fighting style where they mimic a random characters fighting style, and because combot is a metal robot.
because ever since heihachi betrayed him in tekken 3, jin doesnt want to know anything about any mishima relations and his devil gene so he decide to learn karate HIS way.
Is it weird that I actually like Tekken 4? I like the style of the Arenas, since it doesn't feel like I'm fighting in a movie studio, and it actually kind of reminds me of Soul Calibur and Bushido Blade a slight bit. It also set the standard for Jin's new voice and fighting style (in fact it did for a lot of characters) I also actually like the ability to pick your starting area before the round starts.
since the ps2 version of tekken 5 have tekken 1 , 2 , 3 arcade versions as a bonus youknow they suposed to put tekken 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 all of them in the ps3 version of tekken 6 as extra to fill the rest of the empty size in the blu-rey.
@19avalanche21 They basically say one of his moves had a shitload of powerful setups....I think they slightly changed his moveset all together by the time of Tekken 6, thus making Jin more mid tier like the developers wanted.

i got my hair like jins where i come from these hair styles are sweet most people who copyed my hair style failed because it wouldent stick up it would just fall down i even dress like jin and i went and learned krate i am good as jin when i fight XD
I remember the storyline saying he had learned Traditional Karate; and I remember him not having any of Heihachi and Kazuya's moves in this game. What traditional style did he learn? Doesn't look like Isshin-Ryu. Possibly Kenpo? Kung Fu? I can't really tell from his style, so I'm not sure. Anybody know which Traditional Art he seems to be fighting in? It never seems to be mentioned which style he decided to learn. Had I more experience, I might be able to figure it out.
Jin is the only guy in his family who is doing the traditional art of karate.and he can beat kazuya and heihachi and anyone else with the mishima ryu because even though he unleraned it i think he knows how to defend himself from that :p just what o think
yeah jins awesome because he is mysterious i agree. i like devil kazuya he was a bitch to fight. the only good thing about devil jin is that he has his old fighting style
if i remember correctly, jins hood used to fall down. am i just imagining things? anyway, i think tekken 4 had a better environmental damage system than tekken 6 did. i was hoping to break through more barriers, instead it's just endless useless space.
I like Jin.. straight powerful moved, nice defense .. simple but effective! your fighting isn't bad, but you ytill have to practice :P .. and try again on ultra hard :) the fights were much better an there would be more action ya? :) nice job!
T4 jin was broken, but anyways in my opinion namco shouldve buffed jin as the main char etc in tekken 6...i wish he had the original mishima-kazama mix-style would be more solid.
hmm so i can learn his fighting style just in case i fight a good jin player its always good to watch vids on your opponent. i enjoy jins story line but he became a pansy after tekken tag. kazuya is way cooler
