Basically sit in the car and play the game and the car reacts to you crashing into the car in front of you and stopping at the light. 17:25. I saw that "dawn is your enemy" once as a kid and thought it was the strangest thing, like a cult ad or something. Thank you so much for referencing it so I could wiki it and solve the mystery. This thing was played on cartoon network to scare kids? Thats the weirdest thing ive ever heard of.
On the off-chance that anyone cares, the weird gate thing in the space invaders game is a torii. The charged shot was a shrine fortune (when it hits the enemy it gives their luck fortune, mostly bad). And from the context of the pilot being a demon-battling shrine maiden of some kind, I'm guessing the light shots were demon sealing talismans. "The it's not likely that" was probably originally something like "masaka", which would be better translated as "No way!", which would make much more sense as a being-defeated comment.
