If you get really stuck and you're not farming them, jump back into your ship - this will spawn interceptors instead and they don't know how to attack if you haven't taken off, the waves will come and go until the capital ship turns up, this is when you jump out of your ship and the swarm will immediately end.

Awesome video… I was messing up by frantically picking up the drops as soon as they fell… I hadn’t thought to save them for when I needed them. Good tip!
I put down fast base computer and created very simple wooden platform about 3 stories high. Shooting the sentinels from high above was much easier. The wooden platform I built (just using several stairs and floor panels) was above an existing building, so the sentinels couldn’t hide under. But if I didn’t have the building under I would just leave the middle of the platform empty so I could shoot down.
You did not mention paralysis mortar. With the main weapon it is a powerfull combination, the same holds for plasma launcher though you have to be carefull in thight spaces and at close range because you can easily send yourself to the other side.
I’m late to the party but no mention of the cloak mod. It won’t fool the dog sentinel but it does work on the rest allowing you a reprieve and to plan on which sentinel to attack next. It also allows you get close to the smaller ones who are more evasive. Kill a sentinel or two pop the cloak, repeat.
Was just watching this trying to jump back in the game after a good time away, and was just thinking how awesome it would be to have a weapon cabinet on a freighter to collect and hold guns especially with so many beautiful guns.
I'm in love with the Darth Evader interceptor you have - have you (or anyone else!) found any others that look similar with available portal/planetary coordinates?
I have a lot of problems with the ground Sentinels - still early in game. Had no real idea how to equip and no idea how to effectively fight. Thanks for this WBG.
If you start the fight with the dissonant sentinels and go to space you can do 5 waves of the sentinel ships then a sentinel freighter thing. To take down the ships, I have found the best thing is to use a fast weapon to get rid of their shields (I just use the starting gun) then shoot then once with the rocket launcher they will have a sliver of health left. Using these two weapons takes them down really quickly. My only tip is to have a lot of sodium to replenish your shields. Have fun in your adventures!
Thanks for the video :) The crucial part about canisters recharging your shields got me more confident :) And also for the tip for those who didn't notice, the canisters also recharge your Hazard Protection.
If youre on PS4 or PS5, might want to try and adapt to Gyro Aim (Motion Control). Aiming is MUCH easier (once youre use to it) and you can also fly/move and shoot with greater ease without losing control of your aim. Gyro Aim is "mouse-like aim" in a controller if setup properly. And you free up your right thumb so its easier to perform other actions while still aiming. I just do fly-bys on enemies while lighting them up with the splitter. Or fly circles around walkers lol. I notice everytime you fly, youre aim is not moving. Trust me, Gyro Aim makes these fights more fun to a degree (just a greater control of your character) but also, much faster and easier.
Thanks for the tips. Problem is that I have no idea how to upgrade the tech slots on my exosuit. I have 8 (count 'em 8) with no way that I know of to increase them. I've been avoiding Sentinels of all types because of this. I just dig a hole in the ground and wait for them to lose interest.
okay, so you know how you increase the inventory slots? (this was something i just found out too), when youre in the interface where you increase inventory slots, instead of just clicking add, go aand click on an empty tech slot in your exosuit, and itll add a tech slot instead of a inventory slot
If you're playing in VR Well of course, pulse spitter is my go to, it's very powerful, all upgraded S tier, try to get the best multi tool you can, i have an S tier rifle it does the trick. And oh course put your weapon in charged slot Now in addition, get the personal shield, in VR you can both shoot and shield yourself at the same time. It's a very useful VR feature. It doesn't protect you from ramming attacks but lasers and fire spits it does. Keep in mind you are slowed down while shield deployed. Deactivate it to move fast and dodge ramming attacks, Destroy the healers first of course, you can out damage them since you have big DPS.
This is amazing information, I really appreciate you putting this together! I was having trouble with them healing too fast too, and this had everything I needed plus some stuff I didn't know that I didn't know.
You can just dig a hole, close it up behind you, make a base with teleporter and power and teleport away. Attack will end immediately. Teleport back and dismantle the base, fill in the hole and carry on. Takes about 3 minutes and a little bit of preparedness. You get all or most of your resources back too.
you should do a little experimenting , when im fighting those waves, if you pick the barrels up instead of shooting you will get almost a full heal, atleast it does to me, also in a pinch dig a hole charge your shield but watch the timer so it doesnt restart, im sorta like the guys who cmplain lol, at the end i get swarmed an by then all my mods are busted to crap jajaja , started a new save for this update an foolishly started getting things up to get a fighter too soon, many waves, redos, an at end still couldnt get a fighter, tried the space battle an also got overwhelmed lo, but survived barely , as you said the key is to equip an not just rush in, i learned the hard way, hope it helps.
Yep. I’m 11 hours in, most of that exploring and mining stuff and got wrecked by the neger ending waves when I tried to escape. Probably won’t turn down the settings now that I have an idea of what to expect, but your advice is sound.
Getting killed by a barrage of mortars will kill you quick.... if you don't have your shield upgrades equipped- I don't get why you did that, you had empty slots. Great video either way though! Since you can have 3 extra forbidden weapon upgrades the best weapon is by far the Bolt-Caster, these extra upgrades don't effect any other weapons. I also have the Pulse Spitter on my weapon, they're both supercharged and have max upgrades but the bolt-caster does about x2 damage output.
In combat, my go-to weapon was the Pulse spitter, even low-end upgrades got a great rate of fire, and if you get the upgrade to set stuff on fire, there's damage over time. Then I got the Neutron cannon. The fastest you can charge it, the better. Great AoE damage and if you line up S-rank upgrades for it and supercharge it, you can chew through basic enemies in one or two shots (Basic sentinel floaters and light corrupt quads). Sentinel quads and heavy corrupt quads in 3-4 shots. Hardframes will be maybe 5-6 shots and Walkers may take up to ten or more, and you can hobble them by blasting out their knees in one good shot.
I basically shut off damage in the difficulty settings, got the sentinel weapon, maxed it out, and went back for revenge lol Now the gun does 22,000 damage 😅
Good info & thanks, but im still struggling with an 'A' class multitool, have re arranged and taken out other weapons, just cant take enough energy from them while they are healing etc....
Ive even tried a maxed out s class sentinel wep and i still 100% feel the minotour is the bwst and fastest way to go. Being able to sit above everything really is better and makes dealing with healers SO much bwtter.
After a 2-year Hiatus I came back to find myself fighting corrupted Sentinels and finished it by accident and had no clue what to do With the new Waypoint😮 I finally figured out and now I have a decent Sentinel ship😊
@@elinazariel ye put some S upgrades or X if you find good ones, and well you won't be as fast as multitool weapons but I can insure you sentinels are pretty bugged with exocrafts so it will be a cakewalk for you
@@MacElMasMancoDeTodos sure do and it's more fun than ever. But it is such a surreal feeling that normal sentinels seem so easy now, when earlier I had such problems with them. Actually the most dangerous thing for me has been creatures though, they have killed me most. One dumb way to die is to wait and do nothing while expecting pet of same species do the fight for you.
Interesting tehnique. However if you stick to knowcking mirrors and desonator thingies and then running away, the sentinels will stop chasing after 5 seconds. Also once every 1-6 mirror thingies you can get an echo locator and it's easy sailing from there. 🎉😂
Ummm.... just build a small structure, a 2x2 or even 1x1. Use the archway wall pieces to make walls around. Scale down and place the "barrier" decorative piece into each archway. Now you can shoot out but they can't shoot in. You can now win without even having to move.
@@theserpx It's not that complicated mate. I believe I have described it adequately. Also, the way I have done it, isn't the only way to do it. Put you big-girl pants on and give it a go.
@@LordHogWaterer I think the actual name is "barricade". You just unlock it like many other decorative pieces, in the anomaly at the console for base parts, etc.
Great guide. I never tried the pulse spitter! 1. I don't understand what you meant by "Melee burst" what it does and how you did it 2. were you opening those canisters by shooting them? Do you get the full benefit when you do it that way?
Haha I can dig all of your random styles and strategies… but I find myself getting bored of the wave waiting. I even repair the ground as I go sometimes. So I hop in my ship and do a donut around the building killing waves and collecting resources. Shoot the 1-2 sent ships that respond to your flying then land. Usually near the last waves by then. Take out the Walker and press on. 😅😅😅 I wish there was a visible melee weapon.. that would be fun for some close combat action. That would engage my attention 😁😁
I've been researching other creators on how to finding systems with corrupted planets. I yet have to find one. I've scanned, it seems countless systems that say "discussant". I haven't found one yet. I've been at this for two days. I've heard other players who have had the same problem. If there is another way to find them other than going to another player's system. I know players can't be in "creative mode" while trying to find them. This update is giving the "dream areal" bug vibe. It's very frustrating & disheartening. And perhaps this is some sort of bug that has been happening for other players for this to happen. So for now, I'm having to resort to other players planets to collect these items. The only thing I have noticed with other players who have found corrupted planets so far are snowy planets.
What’s with the cool down time? They either chase me non stop until I reload a save or they go away after some time… annoying as hell when I have run 30 minutes and they never cease.
just started playing this game, fuck sentinels man, I cannot even farm some rocks in peace, just learned how to kill some of them, but the waves after waves its a little bit too much for a newbie, at least let me take a breath for a min or so :(
@steamavila1818 if you're struggling against regular sentinels, focus on unlocking the minotaur and cannon, that alone is what I use to take out all 5 waves , that mech suit is awesome and the cannon rips through them , plus then you don't have to worry about hazard protection, if you can , get a freighter with an exocraft module on it , though that will take a little bit , for now if you at least get resources to put a v3hicle pad for the minotaur on whatever planet you're on, it makes those guys easy peazy
Thank you. What do you do with those critical damage messages. I noticed you did not do anything. That is when I get killed I try to find what is damaged to quickly repair. I like Ed suck at these new sentinels and get killed in wave 3 . Will try to save canisters if I dont panic lol
I've found making a small base with barricades on a roof for cover and a health station works wonders too. Question; I've always used the paralysis launcher to help stunblock a group, and to keep the bigger guys stunned whilst I unload on them; is this no longer viable?
It works a treat for me...I wouldn't be attempting it otherwise, I'm a bit of a klutz at killing with guns. It's usually a big assed hammer in Diablo 3...soon to be 4.
Real quick, I'm just going to put this out there. There's no need to even fight the corrupted sentinels. Just destroy one of their injector thingy's, and run away. "Discretion is the better part of valor" or "my momma didn't raise no dummies". Wait until the timer runs out, and try another one, until you get an Echo Location thing. Once you have one, trigger it. It'll get you to the place where there's a multitool and the new backpack (on the first time solving the riddle). Once you've solved the riddle, and lifted the lockdown, you can trigger a Dissonance Spike, where you'll get one of the myriad of new ships. No need to fight or survive waves of these things.
I've been doing this myself when I don't feel like fighting. To add to this, and I've yet to see anyone cover this info: The camps with the multi tools will let you trigger multiple searches for dissonance spikes, so after your first ship, just return to camp and try again for a different ship. This does, however, have a limit before it takes you back to the same ship.
I am new to the game, and I will keep this in mind thank you very much, I have faced the sentinels and I was not clear how my life system and shields work. If they break my shields I can recharge them with sodium right? Or is it a separate system? the same with health, is it separate or can I heal myself by adding oxygen?
im pretty sure that you can only recharge starship shields and hazard protection with sodium the personal shield recharges slowly over time or by picking up combat supplies, but i might be wrong
My guide for beginners who doesn't have plenty of thousands nanites for these multi tool and exosuit upgrades: Step 1. Get Colossus Step 2. Get some shitty cruiser with one base upgrade on hyperdrive Step 3 Buy some upgrades for canon and laser beam on colossus. Step 4 Go on corrupted planet with sentinels farm Step 5 Take out colosus, start farming radiant shards Step 6 When ur colossus is full and your inventory too with radiant shards return to base and refine it into nanites 1 stack radiant shards = 500 nanites Step 7 Travel trough systems until u get some juicy upgrades for your multi tool and exosuit and then u can beat sentinel's ass with no problem.
I believe they need to completely rework upgrades they’re confusing and very unconventional. A typical upgrade tree would make the game feel more streamlined. I completely understand the upgrade system I have a long time it’s just the newer players are probably going to be very confused by it.
It depends on if you use keyboard or controller. Keyboard is using the mouse and wasd at the same time. Controller is using both sticks at the same time. Takes practice unless you grew up doing it.
I got over 52k dps on my Sentinel pistal and if you can't fight them in challenge mode ur gun is weak also plasma works well with spiders and dog Sentinels and the stun grenade is useful
I decided to got a new dimemsion I went from hilbert to hesperius.I have been searching for hours and there are no outlaw stations or corrupt sentinel planets. When I was in hilbert I got a sentinel ship and weapon. Now Im in this new dimension I cant find anything. tried different settings different search filters, not sure if this is a bug or not.I let hello games know. very strange. I have scanned planets.the word dissonant is not showing up on the map.
When in space using the galaxy map - look for any galaxy that says "dissonant" - It will have corrupted planets. You might need to have a conflict scanner installed in your ship.
I actually can't kill all these guys either. I got my Minatoar fully upgraded, got a maxed out scatter gun both s and sentinel modded boltcaster and still almost die and have to melee jetpack out of the conflict! I don't know if it is just me but it seems that after this update my FPS drops allot to 15-20 FPS now and that combined with the insane recoil I get on my weapons makes it hard to land my shots and deal with the corrupt sentinels always repairing themselves! I swear dealing with the regular sentinels and their minatoar and walkers is easier than this!
I finish the waves in space, a lot easier but ofc not as rewarding. But you get the archive thing for to find the ship from destroying the sentinel ship. I gotta repair shield a lot though when doing that, those lasers really get me. But it is still easier than those healers and Quad jumping on you from stealth. If you want the canisters and glass, you just gotta keep on trying on land though.
Plus I agree on normal sentinels being easier now, feel like children's play in comparison. But I have noticed they give up easier than before. I have to start the waves over again to get past level three
Definitely easier at higher fps cause I had to make a new account after switching from console to pc and I play at like 165 fps so while the sentinels are challenging I dont find it impossible I also usually fight with only my multitool and dont use any buildings.Higher fps definitely makes it easier.
I hate to be "that guy", but c'mon. All I did was buy 3 suit core health+shield upgrades, Rank S and three movement speed mods (focusing on sprint length and sprint recovery). It cost me about 1,800 nanites (+1800 for the movement speed upgrades). You can get these nanites by scanning all the creatures on a planet with at least 10 critters on them. Go to Water planets, they have the fewest Underground critters (which are by far the hardest to find). 11 critter planet will give you 2,750 nanites which is more than enough. Then find a station, and there you go. Next up, you need a weapon. I did it with the piddly Boltcaster installed on a pistol (thus, no damage bonus). Get a C-class rifle if you want, but you really don't need it. Then, make yourself about 2,000 ammo. That should be plenty. Then, find any planet that is corrupt (probably don't want one with Activated minerals, and best-case scenario would be one that has no hazards). Next, land your ship somewhere on the planet, and look for a gravitino ball. Grab said gravitino ball to anger the sentinels. When they appear, shoot the boltcaster at the flying ones first as they heal the others. Run up to the barrels they drop and hit "E" (or whatever your "use" key is) and grab them asap for more ammo and more importantly, shield refills. If your exosuit shield goes down, hop in your ship. Don't stay in there too long, though! You'll get scanned by sentinel ships. You get 3-4 seconds of breathing room, just hop out of your ship before the scan completes, and if you need, hop back in and the scan will start again. Keep doing this for as long as you need, I never needed to hop in twice personally. Once the dogs come out, again, kill the fliers first and just run around. Jetpack when your sprint meter depletes. Again, you can also use your ship to recover sprint when needed. And that's really it. Kill fliers, kill dogs, and only engage the small fry at distance because they will jump at you and explode when low on health. You could also look into doing stuff like digging holes, or building mazy bases so you can hide while you regenerate shield, but... In the end... like I said I hate to be "that guy", but this really is a case of "git gud". If you're not playing on the default challenge mode, then maybe... play on the easier difficulty until you've mastered the game?

Was just watching this trying to jump back in the game after a good time away, and was just thinking how awesome it would be to have a weapon cabinet on a freighter to collect and hold guns especially with so many beautiful guns.
I'm in love with the Darth Evader interceptor you have - have you (or anyone else!) found any others that look similar with available portal/planetary coordinates?
Do a search for the NMS Coordinate Exchange. They have what you’re looking for.
I have a lot of problems with the ground Sentinels - still early in game. Had no real idea how to equip and no idea how to effectively fight. Thanks for this WBG.
The geology cannon kills the ground ones fast especially when you have it with good mods just stay far away cuz it will kill you also lol
Thanks for the video :)
The crucial part about canisters recharging your shields got me more confident :)
And also for the tip for those who didn't notice, the canisters also recharge your Hazard Protection.
Good tips, I've played for a while and I didn't know the cannisters restored your shields, maybe it wasn't as important before. Thanks!
Was totally in the same boat and he’s totally right - it’s not super intuitive but after you do it once you’ll be all set
If you're playing in VR
Well of course, pulse spitter is my go to, it's very powerful, all upgraded S tier, try to get the best multi tool you can, i have an S tier rifle it does the trick. And oh course put your weapon in charged slot
Now in addition, get the personal shield, in VR you can both shoot and shield yourself at the same time. It's a very useful VR feature. It doesn't protect you from ramming attacks but lasers and fire spits it does. Keep in mind you are slowed down while shield deployed. Deactivate it to move fast and dodge ramming attacks,
Destroy the healers first of course, you can out damage them since you have big DPS.
This is amazing information, I really appreciate you putting this together! I was having trouble with them healing too fast too, and this had everything I needed plus some stuff I didn't know that I didn't know.
you’re welcome!
Nice video thank you! Next video you do on a sentinel interceptors could you show how to layout the tech for that ship featured?
I use the paralysis charges and that works a treat...and I'm rubbish at the gunslinger malarkey.
You can just dig a hole, close it up behind you, make a base with teleporter and power and teleport away. Attack will end immediately. Teleport back and dismantle the base, fill in the hole and carry on. Takes about 3 minutes and a little bit of preparedness. You get all or most of your resources back too.
Great guide! Just goes to show how much we take the shield mods for granted!
you should do a little experimenting , when im fighting those waves, if you pick the barrels up instead of shooting you will get almost a full heal, atleast it does to me, also in a pinch dig a hole charge your shield but watch the timer so it doesnt restart, im sorta like the guys who cmplain lol, at the end i get swarmed an by then all my mods are busted to crap jajaja ,
started a new save for this update an foolishly started getting things up to get a fighter too soon, many waves, redos, an at end still couldnt get a fighter, tried the space battle an also got overwhelmed lo, but survived barely , as you said the key is to equip an not just rush in, i learned the hard way, hope it helps.
Great content friend. And you got a great voice for doing commentary
If nothing else works, just turn the settings down. It's is really hard to do if you're on a fresh save with little or no tech. So that helps
Yep. I’m 11 hours in, most of that exploring and mining stuff and got wrecked by the neger ending waves when I tried to escape.
Probably won’t turn down the settings now that I have an idea of what to expect, but your advice is sound.
Thanks for the video. I also think it’s next to impossible, but I will try your tips.
I think he did that just to get his gear worse
GREAT Information, thanks for sharing.
thank you Bob! 👍
Superb guide Taylor 👍👍👍
Oh...almost forgot. Using the terrain manipulator can help too. like make a wall or a few ditches in the ground to slow non flying sentinels down
I love this vid! Helped allot, I am always afraid to fight the Sentinels! Awesome instructions! Great vid, keep up the good work!
I basically shut off damage in the difficulty settings, got the sentinel weapon, maxed it out, and went back for revenge lol
Now the gun does 22,000 damage 😅
My man I love the pulse spitter, although I’ve been kinda likening the boltcaster with the sentinel upgrades lately
Love the videos, they are always helpful!
Good info & thanks, but im still struggling with an 'A' class multitool, have re arranged and taken out other weapons, just cant take enough energy from them while they are healing etc....
I have found that the paralyzing grenades are a great help. Stops the healing momentarily, gives you time to reload and/or damage them greatly.
Ive even tried a maxed out s class sentinel wep and i still 100% feel the minotour is the bwst and fastest way to go. Being able to sit above everything really is better and makes dealing with healers SO much bwtter.
If u dont kill the triangle floaters on stage 2 they will keep respawning 2-4-6 floating fighters can really stack up x class mods
After a 2-year Hiatus I came back to find myself fighting corrupted Sentinels and finished it by accident and had no clue what to do With the new Waypoint😮 I finally figured out and now I have a decent Sentinel ship😊
Trick: Use the minotaur and you're perfectly fine
My minotaur has bad weapons so was not much help. I gotta upgrade it to have any help from it.
@@elinazariel ye put some S upgrades or X if you find good ones, and well you won't be as fast as multitool weapons but I can insure you sentinels are pretty bugged with exocrafts so it will be a cakewalk for you
@@MacElMasMancoDeTodos I tried today after I had upgraded and it was so much easier indeed
@@elinazariel glad to hear! Show those bots some authority 😂
I was on my second planet and these guys came out of nowhere and I had no weapon other than the mining tool. They basically destroyed me in seconds. 😅
Finally, some real combat in this game.
Great sentinel fighting guide.
Interesting tehnique. However if you stick to knowcking mirrors and desonator thingies and then running away, the sentinels will stop chasing after 5 seconds. Also once every 1-6 mirror thingies you can get an echo locator and it's easy sailing from there. 🎉😂
I like to have my exo mech with me.
It can stun the enemy also keep some of the enemies off my back.
Ummm.... just build a small structure, a 2x2 or even 1x1.
Put you big-girl pants on and give it a go.
where do i find the barrier decorative piece?
@@LordHogWaterer I think the actual name is "barricade". You just unlock it like many other decorative pieces, in the anomaly at the console for base parts, etc.
@@soldjahboy oh alright thank you
@@soldjahboy I couldn’t find it at the anomaly, do you know which section it’s in?
Great guide. I never tried the pulse spitter!
1. I don't understand what you meant by "Melee burst" what it does and how you did it
2. were you opening those canisters by shooting them? Do you get the full benefit when you do it that way?
1) It is jumping forward, you bust with your jetpack a nd move forward to get the jump (like the crabby thing was doing)
2) Yes it is the same
@@realdutchdave melee burst is easy: perform a melee (punch). The moment the animation begins use the jetpack. It gives you a speed boost.
tip USE THE PARALASYS MORTAR with the voltaic amplifier. they make these fights so much easier and faster.
Thanks. That really helps.
Damn, your dude looks like Batman! Very cool. I’m reinstalling NMS onto ps5. Wanna see what’s new & hopefully combat is a bit more fleshed out?
Haha I can dig all of your random styles and strategies… but I find myself getting bored of the wave waiting. I even repair the ground as I go sometimes. So I hop in my ship and do a donut around the building killing waves and collecting resources. Shoot the 1-2 sent ships that respond to your flying then land. Usually near the last waves by then. Take out the Walker and press on. 😅😅😅 I wish there was a visible melee weapon.. that would be fun for some close combat action. That would engage my attention 😁😁
Thank you so much for your help
I have the original alien mutlitool from 6 years ago. I wasted them without a sweat right out of the gate.
Let me simplify God Mode for this. Drop Exocraft summon station, summon Minotar, jump in and demolish all waves effortlessly. You're welcome.
Maxed out Plasma Launcher... Job done.
Neutron gun + best 3 S or X-uppgrades with compat scope 100k damage. Say no more.
i use my minotaur, and decimate them.
It's simple... Shoot the repair bots first, then shoot the others...
Thanks for the tips!
Anytime, OT! 👍☺️
I've never heard of that issue to be honest. Very weird indeed. You might try re-installing the game.
@@WhiskyBarrelGaming I figured out that after taking out the juggernaut, it dropped the software that allows me to scan for a corrupted planet.
Thank you whiskey! Appreciate you
I use the paralizer along with the pulse to take them out.
I shoot a cannister ASAP.
The bolt one on a sentinel weapon can do the most DPS
good video man
I've found making a small base with barricades on a roof for cover and a health station works wonders too.
@@liammurphy2725 I don't understand the bit about Diablo. I thought we were talking no man's sky
i used the paraliseing bombs as well as the pulse spliters my self
For the longest time i thought it was the "pulse splitter" with an L and everyone was saying it wrong. I am the idiot
Your comment is the only reason I know different now. I would have bet my hat that it was pulse splitter.
MINOTAURRRRR I WIPE THROUGH WAVES OF THESE TO FILL MY SPARE TIME
Real quick, I'm just going to put this out there.
That’s certainly one way to do it. ✌️😁
My secret to surviving is.... creative mode is just god mode
I am new to the game, and I will keep this in mind thank you very much, I have faced the sentinels and I was not clear how my life system and shields work.
If they break my shields I can recharge them with sodium right? Or is it a separate system? the same with health, is it separate or can I heal myself by adding oxygen?
im pretty sure that you can only recharge starship shields and hazard protection with sodium
the personal shield recharges slowly over time or by picking up combat supplies, but i might be wrong
My guide for beginners who doesn't have plenty of thousands nanites for these multi tool and exosuit upgrades:
Step 1. Get Colossus
Step 2. Get some shitty cruiser with one base upgrade on hyperdrive
Step 3 Buy some upgrades for canon and laser beam on colossus.
Step 4 Go on corrupted planet with sentinels farm
Step 5 Take out colosus, start farming radiant shards
Step 6 When ur colossus is full and your inventory too with radiant shards return to base and refine it into nanites 1 stack radiant shards = 500 nanites
Step 7 Travel trough systems until u get some juicy upgrades for your multi tool and exosuit and then u can beat sentinel's ass with no problem.
Definitely just use the minotaur if you're not too good with multitool combat. Thing's a bloody tank haha
I believe they need to completely rework upgrades they’re confusing and very unconventional. A typical upgrade tree would make the game feel more streamlined. I completely understand the upgrade system I have a long time it’s just the newer players are probably going to be very confused by it.
I am a super new player. How are you keeping your aim on the sentinels while you are moving?
It depends on if you use keyboard or controller. Keyboard is using the mouse and wasd at the same time. Controller is using both sticks at the same time.
Takes practice unless you grew up doing it.
@vincer7824 having tried both kbm is definitely better, but controller is still good in the right hands
I got over 52k dps on my Sentinel pistal and if you can't fight them in challenge mode ur gun is weak also plasma works well with spiders and dog Sentinels and the stun grenade is useful
😮
And I really like that ship too, wish I could find out what I am doing wrong.
Really...use the paralysis launcher it stops them long enough to kill 'em.
@@FranWest. found out it was something to do with combat settings, mine were on easy not normal.
Pulse spitter + cloak = living god
I'm not leet enough to wear a cloak with style....one day maybe.
How to get a cloak?
Why not use the Minotaur? impossible to lose and much easier to get than all the upgrades you suggested
