Patrice’s enjoyment at its hackiness would cure a bunch of shit
This episode is the epitome of Tough Crowd for me.
- Colin's mumbling yet sharp opening monologue that bombs (partly because he keeps interupting himself lol)
- an All-Star cast of comics who can't get in a word edgewise - and when they do, it's like crabs in a barrel (except for DiPaolo this episode who killed with every joke)
- inviting Vos to a big milestone show to blatantly be a benchwarming punching bag
- Patrice ripping the soul out of innocent bystanders
- seemingly zero polish, such as the dead air after Norton's line at 2:35 and also a shot of Norton mashing a whole cupcake in his mouth at 16:00
- pretty much EVERY line being completely unairable today, and most importantly NOBODY pandering to the audience, the producers, the executives, the networks, the advertisers, the political parties, or each other.
Truly one of the best, and most important, shows ever created. RIP Greg, Patrice, and Vos's career.

Nick is such a badass. He's mostly alone when it comes to politics and social stuff yet he stands his ground and defends himself. Unapologetic and unafraid of saying "sensitive" shit.

I never liked this show when it was actually on tv, it's only years later I realize how much of an absolute gem it was. Sad that there will never be anything like this ever again.

Patrice O’Neal was really one of the funniest comedians ever. Top 5 in my opinion! In no particular order. Louis CK , Patrice O’Neal ,Norm Macdonald , Dave Chapelle , Chris Rock
Definitely a solid list.
Funniest standup to me, not necessarily most impactful or funniest on like a podcast or something like that, would be CK, Burr, Tosh, Chapelle, Patrice. In no particular order.
My top 5 is almost the same but I'd swap Chris Rock for Doug Stanhope or Dave Attell. Or possibly Shane Gillis if he keeps on killing it for the next decade.
This was the greatest cast combination.

colin brought the best of tough crowd for the 200th show. dave attell ought to be there too. many of my favorite funny men are in this episode
Attell’s best format is traditional standup, he’s the best at it imo. But yea he’s awesome in this too, just never quite hit his full stride with all interruptions and the other big personalities in the show
These guys are the 2000s version of the Rat Pack and Colin is Frank Sinatra.

This show and the daily show were some foundational shows in my sense of humor and my politics. It’s weird to say that from shows that were on a comedy station but sometimes they were the most sane shows during this era.

No, they aren't available anywhere. I spent a couple years finding what I could from youtube, torrents, & other video sites to try to put it together. I'm still missing like 50 episodes & a lot of them are at really bad quality. I improved the quality of the audiio the best I could & reframed the videos to better fit modern devices. I hope someday better quality version will come out. I also cut all the segments up for easy sharing hoping the show could have a resurgence someday =) Check the playlists
