Hello, at 3:20 I realise I don't have the sound category or the audio category in device management. What should I do? Do i directly install a driver from somewhere? I have a Lenovo laptop. I haven't used this computer in months, and this happened. Thanks a lot
I tried all the solutions offered in the video but nothing works. The system does not see any hardware or internal device at all. I just get see the Mic under the audio devices and only the Intel Audio drivers under System. Under Services the Windows Audio and Realtek Audio are both running. The 25 second power off option doesn;t do anything on my HP spectre. Is there anything else?
It was the same for me and it didnt let me start Windows audio and said i had a Local computer so i went to loggin anf changed it to Local system and then it worked
I have a HP spectre laptop which has been upgraded to Windows 11. It has fantastic internal Bose speakers and was working fine until a few months ago when the internal speakers suddenly stopped working. External USB and BT speakers work fine. The system tells me that no Audio Output Device is installed and the only device/drivers showing in the Device Manager are Intel. There is no Realtek device showing. I have tried downloading the Realtek HD driver and installed it several times but still it doesn't show up in the Device Manager, even after resetting. I tried the HP and Windows help sections, lots of UA-cam troubleshooting videos including yours (I tried every method you show) and nothing seems to work. I m at a loss what to do next. dave UK
@@Sekhar_Home thanks Sekhar. That same thought crossed my mind but the idea of changing out an IC on my laptop is pretty daunting, and then if it still doesn't work? Do you know how I locate the sound IC and how to get a replacement part - or do I just leave it to the pros?
Another option that worked for me. Power down everything from the outlet and press the I/O button on the back. Give it a few minutes, connect it all back with the speakers being the ONLY CONNECTED audio device. It should recognize itself. Hope this helps someone.
Thank you for such a great video. I got to uninstalling all the audio drivers and rebooting, but still no joy “no output devices found” (or input). Tried the power flush on the laptop, but unable to take the battery out without opening the case, which I am reluctant to do. Will have to take it into a local PC repair shop.
bro thank you some much, the third step helped me and i was able to fix my problem YOU ARE SUCH A LIFE SAVER. YOU EARNED A NEW SUB. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!
Update: I downloaded a driver from the realtek website about size of 400 mbs And installed the driver using device manager And now the sounds are fine ;)
if you have roccat headphones or others that use a usb you gotta go to Bluetooth and printers and scanners and turn on the second option in printer preferences
The only video which I found useful in last 2 hours. Thank you so much bro, I bought my laptop 2 days back and I was facing this volume issue today. I was worried from last 2 hours and scrolling through youtube to find a solution but nothing worked. This video helped me a lot, Keep it up brother! 🤝🏻👍🏻
Audio inputs and outputs not there. Damn this recent update. And yes, I put view to see the hidden ones. Also, when I go to “More Sound Settings”, it says that no audio devices are installed. I’m kinda scared to do a power flush though as idk if it will really solve my issue.
thank you so much for your help! let us remember that it is also vital to check and reinstall the sound drives of the machine producer for a particular system.
This video is very helpful❤ But I am in a student laptop so I cannot do the device manager one but I'm sure that's the problem cuz it says not connected
I tried it all, but it is still not fixed. When I go into settings under " more sound settings," all I get is " not plugged in." It's the same for the HDMI, USB C(4), and the display port with an HDMI adapter for sound. The headphone jack and Bluetooth work fine for sound. I wonder if it might be a hardware issue 🤔, although that's strange, all 3 output sources going out at the same time.
I will helping you guys please read carefully First go settings and click system than scroll you can find more sound settings click their you can find speaker and headphones double click on speaker and you can find device usage if it it disabled just enabled it that's it
Nothing is working I even contacted Microsoft they helped me update my audio drivers and it worked until I turn off my laptop I’m not sure what happened idk if something is broken
I did the Windows’s audio and then o went to check the Realtek section and I clicked Realtek Audio universal service properties I clicked start and then is says Windows couldn’t start the Realtek audio on local computer Error the system cannot find the file specified

Yea exactly the same problem here i updated some drivers using outbyte software and now no sound devices are being recognised
Actually the problem might be the sound ic got problem. It shoud be replaced
