- Each year, about 3,500 candidates qualify to train for a chance to become Green Berets. Of those, about 860 make the cut.
Stand out in the Army National Guard: bit.ly/4akvBUU
Should do a video on how they balance life while going through all that schooling.
That’s a good idea, thank you for sharing with us!
they dont because they are in schooling.... that is their only concern until they finish.
You’ve gotta be willing to die if you wanna be a Green Beret , gotta be willing to do the job, not just have the title.
Wanted to go in the army , but gensis wouldn’t allow me because of my past history with asthma , though I never used an inhaler for 20years and I’ve boxed and competed in amateurs and played football in high school
get a waiver, your recruiter is lazy if he/she does not want to help you with one.
You can 100% get a waiver for that. If your recruiter isn’t putting in the work, find a new recruiter who will.
Maybe find another recruiter or different branch. I've got 4 buddies which one of em the worst asthma and he's an officer in the Air Force now
I was disqualified from the military because I have hearing impairment since birth.
Soon 75th Ranger Regiment will have a National Guard unit spun up too
I wouldn’t say soon; even if approved I bet it would be 5-10 years before anything comes of it.
Why not? You’ve got LOADs of ranger tabbed NG soldiers who do nothing with it. Send them to RASP stand up a NG unit and put them to work.
@@josephcecil1979Because being in Regiment is a different beast. Dudes have to prove themselves every day and the Regiment has to be their number 1 priority when they're there. That wouldn't work doing it part-time.
@@josephcecil1979 Isn't the idea of Rangers and spreading the knowledge around different parts of the army (NG in this situation) Ranger School not RASP?
I know of many National Guard soldiers who have completed Ranger School and continue to train, even when just part time!
Any mission I would be there anytime 💯! Strong mindset ⭐ spark the fire!
We are truly grateful for your service!
How does this even work? The Green Berets are supposed to be so elite because of the constant training, but if you're only doing drill for one weekend a month, would you not lose a ton of skill?
I’m going to be going to boot camp beginning of 2025. Sadly no female Green Beret Officers in Georgia 🥲. I know I can pass to, 2 min each 100 PU - 90-100 SU - 18-20 pull ups, 5 min plank (I’m working on my planks). 🥲 So I’ll be the best airborne I can be.
Sounds like you have a plan set for yourself! That's great!
Im going to the national guard for 2 years
Def a great choice! dont swear training its easy all just a head game, just know its worth it i got out but shoulda stayed in and would go back if i dint have to go back to training😂😅
Sweat
Thanks man.
Could never get the chance to try out for SFAS during my active duty career. My unit was heavy on 75th Rangers. Would like to still try out in National Guard 🤔. I’m 2 years out now.
Good Morning.

What MOS is can apply for 18x ?
Badass!!!!
should do a video on JRTC
so you can be a green beret through NG? i thought it was only through us army
Absolutely you can. nationalguard.com/special-forces
The National Guard is the US Army..
This is so i.portant training everyday
Two questions, I live in Eastern WA, what would be the nearest NG or Reserve GB Unit to me? And also how long do I have to be absent from school/work/family to attend training?
These are all great questions! Basic training is ten weeks long and your job training depends on the job you enlist into! It usually ranges anywhere from 4 weeks to a year long! To see the units closest to your area, check out the State page on our site at www.nationalguard.com/select-your-state

This video is useless. It doesn't tell you any of the physical requirements, it doesn't tell you about all of the training requirements, it doesn't tell you anything useful. Do better.
That’s because it draws adolescents in to go down to the recruiter office to ask those questions. That’s all this is, recruiting tool. Why would they put out all the info and potentially draw people away? If that curiosity is sparked, they’ll go down if they wanna know more
