Yeah, it weird that goofy team attack actually does something to a boss like a reaction command attack. It also works in Lump of Horror boss fight as well but it probably better to not use it on that boss because you can you can do more damage to him when he is in that form.
Yeah I see what you mean they are better in kh2 but in kh3 replaces invincibility frames with buffing how much damage that is taken when in the team attack.

One of the many things KH2 does better than 3 are the special attacks. KH2 had limit commands and Drive Forms which are the same as team attacks and keyblade forms, except longer. The thing was that cost MP and Drive bars, so there was a strategy to what you wanted to do. In here, everything except magic and summons cost nothing, so there is no reason not to use them when the pop up. This and especially attractions pretty much break the game and make them a lot easier and less fun.
Yup, it's rather sad how after KH2FM was finish, Osaka Team decided to make a change in the series that was the turning point of the series as Bloodybizkit put it. KH2 was one of the best games in the series that had a fun story, good boss fight, lots of content even in it's vanilla state back in 2006, better combat & more. KH2 is not a perfect game but it has more good that out weigh the bad. But KH3 has some much bad to it that no matter what good stuff that happens in that game, they are not as memorable other than Donald moment but that's about it. The gameplay was complete trash & was literally a baby version of KH2 because it handed stuff to the players like candy without actually earning them like KH2. KH3 was meant for new comers to the series but that does not mean make the gameplay weak & too easy & forcing the player to use the fun button just because the game mob fight won't let you fight them straight up like KH2 did. As much as I liked the KH4 trailer, I don't have any hope for that game because the same team that work on the awful handheld game plus KH3 is working on KH4 & I feel like they will ruin the heck out of that game as well with the same stuff they have been doing for years because they can't let go of their awful combat system. There will never be another KH game like KH2.

KH2 combos felt like you were hitting your enemies with a hard object whereas KH3 combos felt like a paper hitting them & not phasing them which would explain the random super armor or them not falling to normal finishers. Also, whoever gave the white Dusk super armor should never make KH game anymore because that ruins the fun of fighting enemies straight up. The whole time Osaka games rather the player run away than fight them straight up which sucks.

Yeah, or either they thought it was too overpowered & everyone would use them all the time on bosses to survive but I highly doubt that since links in KH3 could not be used if Sora MP was not full. So I am sure he would have done the same with the team attacks but decided not to do that & make them shorter.

I heard this from Stickman Sham & he was right. Why did KH3 act like Sora did not know how to fist-bump Baymax in that cut scene? Like really?
Most of these are lazy and can be summed up by spinning around an invisible axis. The most unique/ interesting are the ones from Monsters Inc, Toy Story, and Big Hero 6. Honestly KH2 had more thorough and execution heavy limits that fit the style if the world character. Not just spinning....
kh3 story was a rushed mess and despite the fun combat mechanics, i didn't like how they got rid of Sora's magic abilities and reaction commands from kh2, and how they didn't add more world's into the game.
If that wasn't bad enough the worlds we go through felt like not much went on in them. I remember rushing through each world just to see when we get to fight a humanoid boss in those worlds like KH2 but all we kept getting was heartless boss fight instead. The piled all of those bosses at the end which was a huge let down to not have a 1v1 against them in the Disney worlds or in the keyblade graveyard. Only 1v1 fight you really get to have is against Terranort in the remind DLC before the limit cut data battle version which would have been cool if the rest was like that or at least put four of the in as a solo fight if you don't want to drag it on for to long which was the reason they did that. KH3 had so much potential taken away from it & cut out for sure.

@kirby I guess because on the story side was bad at the end & for the gameplay side it lack post game content, the lack diversity & option in the game other than just links & keyblade transformation. KH2FM balanced the game & didn't have the drive forms be the only option to enhance the combat & the lack of combo modifiers. When the dlc come out it will hopefully stop the hate a little bit but not everyone is easy to please truth be told but it will at least defuse it to a balance conversation.

Yeah, now that you mention it, they do spin a lot. Hercules, Captain Jack, plus some of the attraction flow have some spinning in them as well.
