Welcome to the FP Journe family Ridah. My personal story is very simple, in March of 2020 contacted an AD that carried them and purchased a PT CS in Havanna Dial 20% below MSRP and with 2 FPJ leather straps. Never knew the hype would follow. Just bought a watch that I liked at a reasonable price. Funny thing a couple of months later, the dealer contacted me and told me that if bought a Monopoussoir that I would get the Elegante 48 for "free." Well i didnt pull the trigger, now Im regretting it every day. Might I suggest a video by Teddy Baldassre and Kevin O'Leary from Jan of 2020 as they visit FJP AD in Miami for some more insight on FPJ. Great video! Stay healthy and safe.
Have you seen the recent Hodinkee article on the Havana. Placed an order for one last week. They are telling me 2024 (if I'm lucky of course)

Wow that’s a game changer for sure. The fact that you can put the watch down and pick it back up without having to set the time again is actually pretty sweet. I love setting my watches but this is definitely innovation. Great video brother. Look forward to the PP video! 🙏🏼🔥

It's a nice watch. It's a shame it's $65K so not accessible for the normal people. It's not worth that much and I have one. Even when I got it at $15K I thought it was expensive. Citizen's watch can last 20 years in battery life;) It's a quartz watch but a very nice handmade quartz watch.
The F.P Journe Elegante is the only quartz watch I would ever conisder to buy, it's an incredible watch!
This is the entry level of FPJ. Why no other models are quartz ?

I think it’s the perfect travel watch, unless you’re a watch nerd you have no idea what it is.
Adding another thought. I purchased the Chrono Bleu in late 2018 before things got crazy in the NYC boutique. I’ve reached out to both the NYC and LA boutiques and have been told it’s a long wait.

Im a huge fan of high end quartz but the notion that this is the first analog quartz that goes to "sleep" is false. Citizen and Casio haven being doing it for over a decade.
This shows that Quartz is a technology that SHOULD be respected providing it’s done well….. FP Journe has taken the technology to the next level with this line of watches….

Rolex quartz watches are real nice. They have a thermo compensated hybrid mechanical quartz type movement. I agree as long as it’s done right it can be beautiful and cool.
If it was still at msrp 15k or even 20k I would even tho it’s extremely out of my budget I would save up for it, it’s deff my grail watch but 60k it’s the watch of dreams floating away now lol

F.p journe is a grail for sure. Elegante for sure any of them. Romain Gauthier or any of the high horology. I feel like as a true enthusiastic watch collector moving away from the main stream is the way to go.

Citizen, citizen watches stops time then starts it again when you put it on your wrist, it also has solar cells so you don't have to think about the battery for even longer and costs significantly less... Am I suppose to be impressed by this watch? I'm still seeing a 1 tick per second quartz watch which will be a nightmare to have serviced in the future when the movement does start to wear out which would scare me senseless on a $65k quartz watch. I suppose seeing it actually hit its markers is a positive, something hard for most quartz watches, or well unless it's a casio then a $50 duro dive watch can do that also.
Mechanically FPJ is one of my facourites, but the designlanguage/aesthetics of the watches really dont catch me. I dont think FPJ will find a way to my wishlist any time soon

This is Zeitwerk money for a piece that is nowhere near as innovative or interesting or even as well finished.
Don’t get me wrong this FPJ is still a cool watch however for the money I’d go with the Lange.
