    My current online professor has a thick accent, and all of his lecture notes are poorly scanned and hard to read. I was SOOO confused this section and you really presented the materials in a way that worked so well for me to understand. Thank you! I will subscribe for the rest of your videos to help me through the end of the semester.

    I appreciate this video so much! I love how you explained things and didn’t expect that everyone already know what something meant. Most professors don’t understand that, yes it’s an advanced math class but we learn hard topics at such a fast rate it’s so hard to remember it all. YOUR EXPLAIN WAS AMAZING!!!

      he's a bit more entertaining than prof leonard, but i especially agree with the sentiment. i went back to college after 10 yrs and started with Calc 1. Prof Leonard helped me pass Calc 1-3...but this math sorcerer is phenomenal with the extraneous math that doesn't involve straight calculus. I've had a hard time lining prof leonard up with the ODE class I'm taking.
      I really enjoy these videos by THE MATH SORCERERRRRRRR!

    I've never seen a math professor hype up diff. eq. like this. My professor went through like three examples and then straight into a pop group quiz. Did not even teach us about the repeating terms. Math Sorcerer is AMAZING!!!!

    If you are here with me studying how to identify Yp and etc. have a great day because we both put some efforts for our studies especially for those taking online class like me. It really is hard to study alone we must be grateful that we can easily access reliable sources to study such as this one. Have a great day I hope that someday our efforts will be rewarded!

    A great question for this is:
    the fourth derivative of y wrt x = 3x - 1
    d^4(y)/d(x)^4 = 3x - 1
    The homogenous solution yields m1, m2, m3, m4 = 0.
    I had to modify Yp = Ax + B four times, and I ended up getting the correct answer.

    • @carultch
      @carultch Рік тому

      This is simply a matter of integrating it four times, rather than using the theories of differential equations.
      You could also use the Laplace transform:
      s^4*Y - u*s^3 - v*s^2 - w*s - p = 3/s^2 - 1/s
      where u, v, w, and p are the initial conditions in increasing order of differentiation
      Y = (3/s^2 - 1/s + u*s^3 + v*s^2 + w*s + p)/s^4
      Y = 3/s^6 - 1/s^5 + u/s + v/s^2 + w/s^3 + p/s^4
      y = 1/40*t^5 - 1/24*t^4 + u + v*t + 1/2*w*t^2 + 1/6*p*t^3
