I love that you run this thing at the park like this. Just goes to show you don’t need a track in your backyard to run .. and no damage to boot 😁 your stickers are on the way btw
Smooth man! Like you said what an epic buggy and l am pleased l never had to go toe to toe against one with my modified Boomerang at my old race club back in the day! Haha I love when dogs get involved when l am driving down the beach! Great stuff Keith 👍
It was nice seeing one out and running! Sucks the dogs showed up but it just will make having your own track even that much better! I can't imagine getting one of these back then! I would not have known what to do with it, it runs too well!

@@neilhornby7260 now you've built a kyosho .you won't go back. I did the same in the 80's . Tamiya's are toys compared to them. Really need a turbo scorpion 👌
There's just something about this video that captures the fun of finally running a car you've been working on and seeing what it can do when you stretch its legs. I've been a tamiya rerelease guy but your videos are making the mid optima rerelease so tempting as well. Also, I loved the bit with the dog. If you had a couple of 12-year-olds asking how fast it is and whether they could drive, it would have completed the suburban experience lol.

Way to rocky. I was having a hard time finding a place. Sports teams everywhere and the track was not an option. The gravel had 1 1/2” stones. Murder on a car like that. In the end it worked out enough to show the car is very capable.
For me personally I prefer the look of the scorpion or the javelin but I gotta give that some due credit. Body style growing on me . Certainly looks like it runs true and smooth . Sweet buggy. Glad the dog didn't decide to take a bite lol. Great vid Keith
@@rcicons4915 I have some clear synthetic oil that I put on mine but the Black death com drops will make the calm last longer from what I understand. And if the end Bell's removable eventually you're going to want to take a white eraser to it to clean it off.

I have a ton of kyosho but have not built many. They are definitely in a class of their own. Great cars.

It’s always funny when we’re at a park and dogs start chasing our cars.. one was able to keep up with usa-1 which is 4s brushless and does 43mph lol 😂
It must have been tired by the end of the run.

Yes, thanks god for rere kits. Makes it affordable to be able to experience these vintage cars again. I have a couple of the rere mids as well.

Scary when the dog started to chase. Happened to me a few years back and the dog took a chunk out of my hotshot 2.
You should get some black death, com oil and synthetic oil for the bushings or bearings if it has it.
I oiled the bearings with yeah racing bearing oil

What’s that remote you use? It holds memory for 20 receivers?? My fly sky gt3c holds 10.
The 240ST was a basic motor, still better than a 540S, but not very fast like a 360PT for instance.
With that 4200 lipo fit a Tamiya?
The plastic seem to be holding up.
you need a modified brushed motor on it, the 240 ST is not that powerfull....
Is that your miniature poodle. There are a lot of RCs now that will outrun a dog.
