Thanks so much for watching you lovely people!😊 If you liked the video, please give it a thumbs up it really helps us👍🏼 We work super hard every week to create new travel videos and every single one of you watching makes it all worthwhile! ☺️
Such a beautiful Island & the colour of the sea is amazing. So pleased there’s not too much damage following the storms, although those cars were wrecks! Views of Assos & fortress were amazing. Really picturesque. Great you fitted SO much in a day, incl time to eat at such super places! That beach was a must, you had perfect weather & even got to go snorkelling with the fish! Brilliant! Colourful Fiskardo was a really Nice end to the day! Not to mention the cake!!! Looks beautiful by day & equally charming in the evening! Great place. Lovely to see it all again! Thankyou.
What a beautiful vlog, we love Kefalonia, its my favourite Greek island and i think you have captured it so beautifully, Fiskardo another stunning part of this charming island, thank you for sharing, much appreciated ♥️👍
Oh it hurts to see that damage. Reminds me so much of the storm damage we've seen from tornadoes where we live. And how eerie to see right next to some of the most beautiful blue waters my eyes have ever peered upon. Wow. What a dichotomy.
We were there at the same time in the town of Poros in the south east when the storm hit - we had 20-30 birds taking refuge in our room. Two scary days! Off to Assos and Fiskardo in 2 weeks time (been to Assos before) so enjoyed the Vblog - thanks. Been to most Greek islands and Kefalonia is our favourite. Your enthusiasm and objective perspective accurately captured what this island is about.
Wow, love that you kept the birds safe. We were so worried about the poor chickens below our apartment but obviously we couldn’t get down there. We have been to a few Greek islands and have yet to find a bad one but you’re right Kefalonia is pretty special! Enjoy Fiskardo & Assos! Highly recommend lunch at Alaties beach, so tasty and a beautiful tiny bay.
Thank you for a lovely video with your personal input - you are both charming- I am looking forward to seeing your other videos. I’m hoping to stay in Kefalonia for a month in Spring 2025 and it was helpful to see the options if places to stay.
Those goats (1:18) look just like sheep in North York Moors 😆 Fun fact: "alati" (14:24) in Estonian (stress on first syllable) means "always", which is a very suitable name for an "all day" restaurant!
Those goats made us laugh so much, so relaxed without a care in the world for all the little cars whizzing by😂 That is a suitable name for an all day restaurant!
Wow those cars are destroyed, its crazy. Sorry to see the harm there. We have Assos in Turkey too and it used to be a Greek town. It is right by my hometown now. Really enjoy snorkeling off the coast on the Aegean side, would love to do it on the other side facing Italy as well... Steve never snorkeled before coming to Turkey... now he wants to hit up all the great spots around the world too. Beautiful drone shots of Fiskardo and a great way to end the day!
Wow what an amazing and adventurous day you had. We totally understand why it was your favorite. I can't believe how unconcerned those goats were with traffic. Apparently they enjoy the great views just as much as we do. What a life! The restaurant at Alati was such a great find and the snorkeling sure didn't disappoint. When you are packing in as many activities as you guys are, sometimes a hot chocolate is the proper way to cap off the night, no matter how "uncool" it may be! 😄
The goats were so chill 😆 made us laugh! We really liked the idea of a cocktail or something but as Craig had to drive us back along those mountain roads in the dark we thought a sugary hot chocolate might be best😋
We're sitting here in Alati all day restaurant thanks to watching your vlog from a few years ago. Although we'd travelled to Kefalonia last year we didn't get around to it but now eaten here Tues & today Greek salad before going for a dip then dinner here later before heading back to Trapezaki where our apartments are. Thanks both, will look at more vlogs soon 😊
OMG, those cars are shocking! 5 cars completely lost. Sadly, I'm sure there were so many more damaged. I can't believe only 100 people live in Assoss. It's so cute and quaint. The snorkeling looked amazing. So refreshing! So many great views in this episode guys!
So cute and quaint, definitely reinforcing our desire to go to Greece and the Greek Islands.! Such a bummer about all the damage. Can't wait to snorkel again looks like it was fun there. Love Fiskardo, looks like such a cute little fishing town, Especially with those aerial shots! 🔥
Wow the views on your drive are so stunning! That's so funny how the goats were just chilling along the side of the road with no care in the world. That's crazy and sad to see all the damage caused by the storm. All the stones in the cars and broken windshields were such a scary sight...nature is so powerful. Alaties Beach is beautiful...the water is so shimmery and clear. Kirsty, I would be tempted to skip lunch and just hop on in to snorkel as well! But you made the right choice to have a delicious Greek salad beforehand. Fiskardo is so posh with all the fancy mega yachts! You guys really had such a dreamy day!
Fiskardo was pretty posh, we were surrounded by yacht owners eating seafood and sipping champagne, whilst we were ordering cake and hot chocolate to warm up🤣
Proposed to my wife 10 years ago just through an archway along the walls of Assos Fortress (views to die for) Commissioned a painting of the said arch for her birthday cannot wait to see her face 6/June. Will be there this coming September all being well. Thanks for your videos they are brill! Keep on having fun. Dave.
Wow, that is a beautiful place to get engaged, what a great birthday gift you have for her too, love special personal gifts like that. Hope you both get there in September and have a wonderful time. Thank you for your kind words, we'll keep it up 😊
Assoss village is so beautiful. I laughed so much when I saw those goats blocking traffic 😂 man those cars were proper destroyed especially seeing all 25 cars that were registered there. Alatia Beach looks so absolutely beautiful wow, the restaurant looks stunning with those views. Having a Greek salad in Greece haha love it. Loved the footage you guys got snorkeling, so beautiful. Really enjoyed this video, I love seeing the little towns in Greece.
These videos are a joy to watch, watching what you went through in Kefalonia, little food and all the upheaval all the way through you kept smiling. Demetri was a star to accommodate you and help the way he did. 👍 We love Kefalonia and hope to return there in 2022. Please keep your blogs coming. Best of luck guys. 👍👍
Thank you so much for your lovely words. Our first few days in Kefalonia were definitely something we would never have expected to experience on that little island but we stayed positive thanks to the lovely people and seeing how well they all recovered from it all. We hope you get to visit this year, it's such a lovely little island. We sure will keep the videos coming! 😊
"I got the blues of the water. The blues in the sky. And the blues from waiting for goats to walk by... I got the Kefalonia mammals in traffic blues." - Craig & Kirsty, on their newest album Tide Knot Travellers Do the Blues
Wow Assos looks spectacular! So beautiful how it stretches between the mainland and that little "island" and has the water on both sides. Sounds like some cool history there too with Paris square and the Venetian castle. Heartbreaking to see the destruction there though :( I can't believe the destruction of those two cars you showed with rocks and rubble inside. Sad how they just had to be abandoned
Those goats on the road remind us of driving through the Transkei here in South Africa. There is so much cattle in the roads😅. Assos looks like such a beautiful place to live. Amazing history and such breathtaking views in all directions. That water is so blue that it almost looks fake🤣 Alaties beach looks like paradise. You guys had the most amazing weather for this trip.
Greece just keeps climbing our wish list, every-time we see more of it 🧡 however I feel for the people affected by the storm, it must be so traumatic seeing all the rubble still around. However that nice calming sound of the ocean is medicine to the ears. Sending our love to the people of Assos 💙
@@TideKnotTravellers it was similar here, the bushfire damage is still obvious but anything that could be cleaned up has been dealt with in the first year and it lifts the spirit soo much ☺️
You guys had a long day, seemed like. Big drive to cover that area. The goats on the road made me laugh. Lunch at 3:30 would have had me and my hubby so hangry 🤣 I hope you had snacks! The snorkeling looked amazing. It's been so long since I've been snorkeling. Such a great little town at the end too.
Great video. I love your enthusiasm and charisma. Epic shots and great BTS of the island. How did you find the meal prices? Love the Ala Ti restaurant find! Mouth watering Greek Salad!
Thank you so much ☺ We found the meal prices reasonable for the locations we were in but we only ate out a few times. The food and views at Alati were worth every cent and also really reasonable!
Your videos are amazing! So enjoying your travels and the lovely manner in which you present them . Such a a happy couple enjoying life to the full😊 Do you have any recommendations of where to stay in Kefalonia?
Thank you so much😊 The main town of Argostoli has a lot there but if you prefer somewhere quieter then Lourdas was lovely and peaceful during our stay. If you like lovely evening dinner and drinks by the waterside then Fiskardo is a lovely little place to stay.
Thanks so much for watching you lovely people!😊
If you liked the video, please give it a thumbs up it really helps us👍🏼

Cannot imagine the trauma people were feeling at the time you were there. Way to tell the story of it.
It was crazy, thankfully and amazingly no one was hurt☺️

It was really crazy seeing it all like that. It’s a good thing this little island doesn’t usually get hit like this.
Beautiful place and good blog

Assos got hit pretty bad by the hurricane due to it’s position on the island plus it got cut off from the mainland as the road was blocked.

The colour of the water around the island of Kefalonia is incredible it’s like you’re driving around with tinted lenses on or something😂
Nice ❤ Heading there in under 4 weeks now and hired a car for 10 days. So will be following your itinerary quite a lot 👍

Estonian summer started the tan and Greece topped it up! 😊
Hope you enjoyed the sunset at the 7 bar in lourdas, love kef.

By far the most scenic beautiful area of Kefalonia, the North is the island is covered in green forests and bays
