    I think they should honor what was listed at the time the package was purchased

      You bring up a valid point, Beth! Everyone feels that honoring original package details maintains trust and loyalty. After all, consistency is key, right? 🔑 We'll see how Princess Cruises navigates these waters. Thanks for sharing your perspective and being a voice in our community! 💙🗣️

    "You can upgrade to the Premier Package if you want more dining options for your longer cruise" Is what Princess said to me when I called to question about this policy. Seriously!!! We are on a 23 day cruise later this month. We paid $2760 USD for the Plus Package, and now they suggest we pay an extra $920 USD ($3680 USD total) for dining options that were unlimited and free when we booked and PAID for this cruise in June. Ridiculous solution to this ridiculous problem!!!!
    Should be a no brainer for Princess to at least reset the allotment every 7 days or something reasonable.

      Ugh, that sounds incredibly frustrating! Forking out more cash for what was initially a given is enough to make anyone's blood boil. 😡 We're with you on this - resetting the dining allotment periodically seems like such a straightforward solution. Thanks so much for sharing your experience; it's these real stories that drive change. We're rooting for a better outcome for all cruisers like us! 🤞❤️

      Just trying to consider all angles but don't longer voyages typically have a lower cost per day in the sailing? Not saying I disagree it would be the right thing to do to include 2 casual dining per seven days but I'm sure this is what the big shots are using to justify it.

    wrote them 3 times so far as to expand casual dining to minimum 2x/7 day cruise. ie if 10 day 3x; 14 day 4x

      Kudos for taking the initiative and reaching out to them multiple times, Willy! 🙌 It's voices like yours that push for positive change. The scaling idea based on the cruise's duration makes a lot of sense. 📆🍽️ Thanks for sharing your thoughts and being an active advocate for better cruising experiences. Let's hope they set sail in the direction we're all hoping for! ⚓🌟

    Princess won’t change anything if people keep sailing with them. I am Elite and voted with my feet. My next cruise is on HAL.

      Jumping ship, are we? 😉 Sometimes you've got to rock the boat to see any change! Being Elite, you've certainly earned your sea legs. Enjoy the fresh waters with HAL, and don't forget to spill the tea on how it compares. 🍵 Cheers to charting new territories and the occasional cruise line fling! 💃🚢

    Being reviewed is the corporate equlivant of "Sorry, Not Sorry"

      Haha, you've got a point, Craig! "Being reviewed" can sometimes feel like they're keeping us in the waiting lounge a bit too long. 🕰️ Let's hope Princess Cruises doesn't leave us hanging for the main event. Thanks for the laugh and for always keeping it real in our community! 😂👏

    I noticed drinks onboard that were only included in premier package and cost extra with plus or $19 pay as you go.

      Always great to see your insights here! Yep, the difference between the Plus and Premier packages catch many cruisers off-guard. It's a good idea to double-check the inclusions. Thanks for pointing it out! 😊 💙

    So, nothing has happened. Just "being reviewed". Wake me when they change the policy.

      You're right, "being reviewed" can sound like a snooze fest. 🙄 But it's a start! Let's hope they move from just "considering" to "doing." We'll keep our eyes peeled and update you. In the meantime, keep that energy coming! 👀💬

    Wondering if it's not mainly an increased number of cancelations and a decreased number of new bookings that made them reconsider, rather than Social Media comments. But you are right, everything counts

      You're right! The ebb and flow of bookings and cancellations definitely sends a strong signal. We like to believe that every ripple, whether it's from social media or elsewhere, can create waves of change. 🙌 Thanks for adding another layer to the conversation! 😊

    With 2 new cruise ships being built and the beautiful ones they have you would think they would love to fill the ships with passengers. Only having 2 casual dining for over a 7 day voyage is not that great!!!

      With such majestic ships, one would expect a royal dining experience to match, Wendy! 🍽️ We're keeping our fingers crossed that Princess Cruises takes notes from passionate cruisers like you. After all, it's the little touches (or extra meals) that can make a voyage truly memorable. 🌊✨ Thanks for sharing your thoughts and being a voice for change!

    Okay Princess. Your still charging 14.99 to activate, seriously.
    I do have a question about the five dollar service charge for room service. How much of that does the room service person get?
    Ditch the 14.99 activation fee. Your charging 10.00 delivery plus 14.99 to activate.
    A little bit of a yikes

    • @sailors365
      @sailors365 Рік тому +1

      George, you're absolutely right about those fees. And when it comes to the $5 service charge, industry practices often mean that room service staff don't directly benefit from those fees. Thanks for sparking such vital discussions and always keeping things real! ❤️

    No news here. Princess is "reviewing". Yawn. Do you really think anything is going to change? The recent price increases - excuse me, "enhancements" - are all a scheme to upsell more "Plus" and "Premier" packages. Which are almost a complete waste of money if you don't drink alcohol. I am on the verge of cancelling with Princess (scheduled for Jan 2024). Every day Princess seems to find a way to charge me more money and I haven't even stepped on board one of their ships.

    • @sailors365
      @sailors365 Рік тому +2

      Feeling a touch of seasickness from all these "enhancements", Mike? 😉 We totally get the skepticism. A lot of our community feels the same, especially those who prefer their trips more 'dry' 🍹. Cruise lines really need to find that sweet spot between genuine upgrades and pushy upsells. Let's hang in there and see where this journey goes. And hey, if you decide to test other waters, we're all ears about your new adventures! Thanks for keeping it real with us, Mike. 😊
