Product would be useful for determining cubic area. A Useful purpose might be to determine how many containers would be needed for a shipment.

Hello ! Is there a way to hide the words "SUM OF" or "AVERAGO OF" in the value columns titles ? Thanks as always !!!!!
Just double click on the cell saying, "SUM of" and "AVERAGE of" and you'll be able to edit it to any name you want.
Product would be useful if you were working with quantities and values such as inventory value or possibly sales of a quantity of items...
That wouldn't work here, because Pivot Table product multiplies all numbers in the same column, it's not going to take qty column and multiply by price or something like that.

Yes. Pivot Tables are just Some Sheet formula assigned to do specific functions on a group of data. Hell ! you can make Pivot tables using these formula, in Sheets itself.
