@@patriciaquinn6377 - If you get the chance, I encourage you to catch Bill w/ new partner Bucky Heard. He's not Bobby; no one can replace Bobby, but the songs are the same & Bill sounds great. Best Wishes.
Elvis Aron Presley we miss you the most you opened the doors for so many and without you blending gospel rhythm and blues music music would have never been the same Elvis we miss you so much there’s not a day that goes by that we don’t think of you and what you’ve done for the world we love you man!!!
When I see all these great artists, I can't help thinking how few made it to their senior years. How many died of overdoses, drinking situations etc. At least 3 aircraft deaths, one motorcycle. Being a Rock and Roll legend is fantastic and no doubt had so many great things involved. But damn, seems like it's also a risky life as well.
A truly iconic and timeless song, I know that all the rock n roll greats are up in heaven putting on one heck of a concert. We can add Bobby Hatfield to that list, RIP Bobby you truly are missed such a wonderful voice, we will see you in rock n roll heaven.
With the recent passing of Taylor Hawkins this song came into my mind and had to look it up. so many ,so young and so talented. breaks my heart every time no matter what kind of rock and roll they played, just seems the life style is really hard to keep up with. Love them all!
When the Righteous Brothers first recorded this song about music superstars that left us too soon, I loved it, I thought I would revisit it tonight, As expected I loved it once again until the last frame of the video. It is a picture Of Bobby Hatfield who had passed, but not before he recorded this tribute. The picture of Bobby reduced me to tears, You see I was not only Bobby's biggest fan, but we were personal friends. I knew Bobby the legend, Bobby the man, and more than that I knew Bobby my friend. R.I.P. Bobby! Your music lives on..
Grew up w/music like this and this song was one that always made you stop and think. As life goes on so many leave us. And not everyone who left a mark on our hearts was someone we actually knew...
So many greats now playing "In a hell of a band". Surely Bobby is happy to still be singing. What a magnificent person; what an incredible loss. He was/is so loved through his beautiful voice and soul. thanks for all the recordings you left us,Bobby. We believe in Forever.
Such a poignant song! I’m 53 and after a long day, Bible study and prayer I’m sitting on the edge of my bed crying w/ my big black dog looking at me like I’m nuts!! This video is 5 years old but this songs verse “ if there’s a rock n roll heaven, well you know they got a hell of a band” was put on my buddy Mikey Sommervilles death notice last year, cross the page from a youthful picture of Mike playing guitar. For all you who don’t know him, Mike was the lead guitarist, lyricist for Head East and wrote songs such as “ love me tonight” and “ never been any reason” He was the most humble, kind, gentle ROCK GOD you could ever have the pleasure of knowing!!! Anyway, just writing to ease my pain of loss over his passing. I can imagine God welcoming smoke into a recording studio up in heaven and Mike walking in to jam w/ Stevie Ray, Jimmy Hendrix, Glen Campbell and Roy Clark to name a few. Rest in peace Mike and Rest In Peace to all the legends up there with you!! Gosh I’m sad!!
I have loved this song since it came out in the 1970's. Sad to know we have lost so many great artists since it's release, including Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers.
You did a tremendous job on this video. Shakes me to the core to see how many we've lost, knowing that Bowie and Glenn Frey now belong here. Frightening to think how many more will be taken away in 2016
Glen Campbell was just added to this list just about 2 weeks ago. You can tell this video took a lot of thought and think that's what people appreciate about it. You can tell it wasn't just thrown together in a couple minutes. Thank you for such a thoughtful tribute!
Rock 'n' roll heaven was originally recorded by Sonny Geraci and the band Climax. Sonny and Climax also did the song Precious and Few. Sonny was the lead singer for the group the Outsiders and they did Time won't let me. When the Righteous Brothers got back together this is the first song they released.
Unfortunately it is a song that will need to be constantly revised. Critics hated it; called it trite and maudlin. Guess what? It was not written or performed for them. For however long this song is remembered I hope the Righteous Brothers version is the one used. RIP to all 😢⚘
THAT stairway going UP makes MAKES me feel GOOD hopefully it will be THERE
Believe and it will 🙏😔✝️
Hopefully i HAVE to see my GIRLwife AGAIN
Know it will thanks to JESUS .
Literally have tears in my eyes while watching this video..... Then see Bobby Hatfield pic at the end..... Wow.
Greatest video of the best singers . Gone too young
So glad they put up Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers last. A truly great singer.
Bobby Hatfield at the end made me choke up. Glad that Bill M. is still with us.
Me too RIP beautiful Bobby and all the other greats

Me too. I'm a child of the 60's and 70's. It's just awful how many great talented people we've lost. 😔😢
Another spotilight is waiting it's wings. The Queen of Rock and Roll! RIP Tina Turner.
those words: there's a spotlight waiting no matter who you are. says it all
I like what you wrote!
My brother is in heaven with them all.

heaven got a hell of a band
I completely lost it; when I saw Rick Nelson. He was my first crush.

couldn't hardly forget him since he sang it
God most assuredly doesn't care about rock n' roll at our judgment, but that was one hell of a performance. Where has awesome music like this gone?
Great tribute to the rock& roll immortals.
I have loved this song since it came out in the 1970's. Sad to know we have lost so many great artists since it's release, including Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers.
Miss Bobby Hatfield!!!!
Outstanding job on this one! To see Terry Kath, one of the greatest guitarists of our generation at the end, absolutely made my day!
I got emotional watching and listening this clip. Thank you for putting such a wonderful piece togther bud.
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

RIP Bobby Hatfield!
Does anyone know who ALL of these artists are? Please list them. Thanks.
Great song by Bill Medley and Bob Hadfield. Unfortunately, it's hard to make it heaven if you die from drug abuse.
Time to update it, Louie.
Now....let's see who can name them all?
Who is the drummer at 1:21 and the singer right after him
Needs to be updated, to include Neil Peart and Charlie Watts.
Richie Valens, J.P Richardson!
RIP Meatloaf
And today....Eddie Van Halen, dead at 65.....
Learning how to spell Aretha Franklin!!!!
I seen Steve Gaines on their but not Ronnie Van Zant. They both died the same year in the same plane crash.
Who played piano on this song?
Jerry Lee Lewis!
