Great Review. You definitely have a new subscriber to your channel. I currently own and am using the PowerBeats Pro which I purchased shortly after their release. I was very happy with the music sound quality and ability to take calls while working out; Running / jogging, strength training and playing basketball (by myself) with them in my ear. I am usually connected all day to my phone with my Bluetooth for music / entertainment, daily work conference calls, personal calls, workouts, etc. But my Beats are no longer holding a full battery charge, quick connectivity to my Galaxy Note 10 has become inconsistent and a pain. I must keep my PowerBeats 3 as a standby backup when the Pros start flaking out, especially during work conference calls. I just purchased the QuietComfort Earbuds through Bose and I will be receiving them next week. I had the original Bose (one ear) earpiece several years ago before they were discontinued. I was satisfied with the sound and the great in-ear fit. I switched to the PowerBeats for the last 3 generations. I have been satisfied with the sound quality and the secure over the ear fit. But I am looking forward to giving these a try because of my happy experience with Bose in the past. Based on my experience, could you provide me with any thoughts and recommendations as I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new Bose earbuds. I am 'Picky' with my Bluetooth as well since they are an important part of my daily life
Thanks for the reassurance. It was on a 3 week backlog when I ordered it a week ago. I should get it sometime next week. I do normally perform more extensive research when I purchase products. But I was a little worried that I jumped the gun on this.
@@pickyaudio I received my earbuds on Friday. Great sound quality and noise canceling. The call quality is very good. They are a very comfortable fit. Stays perfectly in my ear while working / working out, playing basketball, running and sprinting! BUT… No volume control on the earbuds themselves is kind of frustrating. Not being able to pair to at least 2 devices at once is annoying, especially when I need to switch connection between the phone to the computer. I really don't understand how Bose could have left those very basic features out. So, while I really like the earbuds, the non-inclusion of basic features is very disappointing. Hopefully these glaring flaws can be fixed via a software update.
Couldn’t agree more with the audio. These are my favorite sounding true wireless earbuds and I have the Sony’s and Sennys TW2. I still really hope they add an EQ to the Bose app so I can boost the bass a little bit on some songs and take the mids down slightly on some songs too. Great video
@@rzr62 Only way you can do that is if you use Spotify. They have a built in EQ. Sadly Apple Music still doesn’t have one which I think is pathetic. (They have the one in settings but those are only presets, no actual manual adjustments) Apple Music needs atleast a basic 3 band eq (preferable more) and crossfade as well. I think they don’t have a manual EQ because it’s not as “user friendly” and not everyone is into that stuff or even cares. But for people that know how to use it, it really sucks not to have one. C’mon Apple...
Thanks for the great reviews! Just curious, what do you do with all these different headphones you buy? Do you re-sell them or just hold on to the many different ones you review?
Superb great review!!! So...any difference in terms of sound quality between BOSE QC earbuds and BOSE sport earbuds(leaving out NC)? Thank you in advance😊😊😊
Got the sports version last night and went exchanges the QC this morning. I believe more expensive one always better. The case isn’t that big to fit into your pocket unless you wear leggings. By the way I don’t even carry case to the gym for just couple hrs.
@@pickyaudio I bought them and the smallest eartips fit perfectly. However, I sometimes experience a lack of good sound quality. I use mine with my Samsung Galaxy s20+ (Spotify user). Would you be kind and listen to "The greatest show on earth" by Nightwish? :) I'd like your opinion on the sound quality while using your Bose buds.
@@evelyndenise Nightwish is always a challenging one, great ensemble with a huge number of instruments and effects. I think you might have found a challenging song for the channel. LOL!
Great review, very clear and to the point. Just wanted to ask as I’m kinda new to all this. I mainly want to use these Bose QC earbuds to watch Netflix on my TV, not from my phone So will the Bose app on my phone work for this or does it only work when the earbuds are connected to my iPhone?
Thank you! Great question. That’s correct, you can only use the Bose app when it is connected to your phone. However, any settings that you change on the app will save to the earbuds. So when you use them on your TV or any other device the settings you choose will be the same. 😊
Bought the Bose and the Airpod Pros. The Bose had the edge until I found out that the left earbud works off of the right earbud. Take out the right earbud and that's it. The right earbud breaks, no more music. At almost $300 I expect a premium presentation. This is JV level. The Airpods work independently. Take one earbud out and the other one picks up the sound. That was the deal breaker for me. That humongous, non pocket friendly, hard to open case didn't help either.
Use the wavelet app on android, brilliant gain equaliser. Up the bass a touch drop the treble and you get the best sounding tws . Loudest also. I ordered momentum 2, tevi, Sony, klipsch, liberty Pro, jabra 75t over 2 weeks from amazon so I could try them.I was choosing the melomania touch until I found Wavelet app and now the nose are untouchable.
@@pickyaudio The bose with the App without it on iphone I'd would say the melomania touch comfortably. Worth noting it's firmware is early and it was quite buggy ( not as bad as the Klipsch) worth a review as the sound is really impressive especially mid range. Like the tevi but more low quality end .
It’s unbelievable that for the price and after waiting for so long these don’t have volume controls. Without that, are they really worth it? I wouldn’t want to take out the phone every time I need to adjust the volume
It’s definitely a deal breaker for some, if I didn’t review earbuds or I just wanted one pair of earbuds I probably wouldn’t get them cause of it. But I really hope they come out with an update
Honestly I don’t need Siri or volume controls because my Apple Watch can change the volume that’s always on my wrist and generally I listen to music with my watch not my phone and that’s what I don’t wanna carry my phone with me
You put the xm3 last...but when listening to them.....I bet you didn't use the foam tips. I had these ... and when using the foam tips they are excellent. You get a better seal which helps with the noise and sound.
Thanks for the detailed video. Could you please let me know whether they would remain secure if you are using a jump rope? I know the AirPods Pros don’t fallout but the quality isn’t good at all. Or if you don’t have a jump rope, could you jump a few times and let me know if they fall off? This is the only thing that is stopping me to get these and there aren’t many reviews of people using this for sports. Thanks. 😀😀
Such great review! Very detailed and very informational! Also such a fun and handsome guy! Lol just got yourself a new sub. Looking forward to more reviews, Mr. Picky!
i've yet to try these but i've seen some reviews the ear tip wings probably make them more secure in the ear i have the xm3 and airpod pro's the flaws with the pro is the battery life and maybe not too perfect for running the xm3 were uncomfortable fall out more the ANC wasn't as great and like the bose the case is pretty big i wish the bose at the price would have a decent mic for calls and smaller case but since you said the ANC was good i might just get these.
It’s the same surface material as on the outside of the bose qc 700 headphones (I have both). Why can’t they use the same volume adjustment and skip forward/back finger swipes functions on the qc ear buds?! The surface is big enough, I just assumed it’d have the same gestures...disappointing 😕. Sound and ANC are amazing tho-near as good as the qc 700s which are superb 👌🏼
Hey Picky Audio! I'm trying to buy my friend noise cancelling earbuds for her birthday. I was originally looking at airpod pros but obviously they're a bit expensive. I'm a bit overwhelmed with selection here, been trying to watch your videos to compare. If you could recommend just one noise cancelling earbuds under $100, which would you recommend?
Awesome review been looking to purchase these soon but I can’t believe you missed out the trance genre review😂. It was coming on the list and I though I was going crazy. Great review though 👍
Hello from San Diego CA. Thank you for the review. First time I see you. I just bought these earbuds. I am enjoying them so far. Great sound and call quality. Which one is your favorite earbuds so far? Do you own an Android or iPhone? 🙏
Thank you! Bose are better in pretty much every way. Deeper/more bass, better sound stage and imagining. Clarity in the mids and highs is pretty close but the bass response just gives the Bose a much fuller sound.
I agree with Picky audio, the Bose are better in all sound aspects including passive noise and noise canceling. They stay in the ear so much better than the AirPods. The only thing the AirPods beat the Bose at is the ability to just ask Siri without touching a button. Also the ability to go back a track, Bose can skip forward but not backward that I know of. Bose can however adjust the volume on the earbuds whereas AirPods Pro can’t.
Hi ..really good video...i am in a precarious situation...so i wanted to ask you if you can help me out... I want a pair of Good noise cancelling earbuds and if i have to pay a hefty sum then obviously i would like a good music experience too... so it all comes down to sony xm3 senheiser momentum 2 and bose...so i wanted to ask you: that to a student(not interested in phone call quality i have air pods pro for that)) who wants to block surrounding noises as well as construction noises(to some extent like to push it away if not suppress it) ..which one would you recmnd...is bose earbuds best choice in terms of portability and earbuds category ?... Now other question is if bose earbuds is the best choice then does it compete with bose qc 35 II also? How much is the difference between the two(obviously bose nc 700 and sony xm 4 is of the same price range but i am interested in paying more for earbuds than headphone and qc 35 II is cheap)... does qc 35 II really worth compromising portability or there is not much difference between the two.. Thanks
Thank you! I’ve haven’t compared the Bose QC earbuds directly to the Q35 headphones but I did compare the Bose QC buds to the Sony XM4 headphones which most reviewers agree on having the best noise cancelling and they’re pretty much on par with them. So I would have to say the Bose QC earbuds would be your best option. 😊
I concur...Sold my airpods pro for the bose qc earbuds ...and absolutely loving it... Now what i felt Airpods pro cons: I am not the only one who felt uncomfortable after 5mins of using airpods pro Music quality is nice and clean but dont expect too much.. ANC :it is good no doubt but again its in a mid range... Airpods pro PROS : if your want it primarily for calls then go for it best mic quality and connectivity... Spatial audio:it is just cool... Bose Cons:the big case and the battery life of the case... Can be connected to one device at a time Inky right earbud can be used individually.. Bose pro: THE BEST ANC TECH AND AROUND 25%-30%more noise cancellation than AirPods Pro... The best music reproduction.. the signature bose stuff... Active EQ yech is good because it is doing the job for you to produce the best sound ... Every instrument is crisp and clear So my friends in short if you are looking for good anc and music quality (which was ny prinary concern) then go for bose and for the people out there whose ears are not accepting airpods pro(of you are feeling the pain ) then bose qc earbuds are very comfortable... None of the product is bad ..its upto you.. PS I got my airpods pro without testing so before getting bose i read every review and watch all the videos then i personally checked Sony XM3 earbuds and xm4headphone and sennheiser tw momentum 2 and bose nc700 and qc 35 II and after that i got Bose qc earbud and i am satisfied... So kindly check if possible before getting one... Peace🙂
thx buddy - One question: Is there any way to turn off the headphones entirely while inear? Is it just me or do others as well have quite loud BACKGROUND NOISE ON LOW ANC levels (which they call transparency mode) - but sometimes I just want to have them in my ears without hearing either this quite loud noise on low levels or the ANC noise (which is also there but way less loud)... or just listen to music on very low volume without any background noise (like on any random cheap headset...) Or is it a factory problem, I just got my pair two days ago and am quite dissappointed... Thanks a lot!
Great review, particularly liked hearing about noise cancellation in different environments. You've mentioned they felt a bit uncomfortable after a couple of hours. If you can think about this separately - how was the weight of the buds? Did they feel heavy when in for long periods?
Thank you! Even though the buds are a bit heavy they feel quite light in the ears. For me it was just the larger than normal ear tips creating some discomfort
The ANC is still the best in any price range. Sound is also up there if you like a mid forward/balanced sound signature. It’s just the fit that is hit and miss for some
GREAT REVIEW!! New subscriber here. I just bought the BOSE QC earbuds. They are the ONLY earbuds that will stay in my ears. One BIG problem that perhaps you can answer. I can not pair these to my new Samsung TV!! Is it me??? Assistance most appreciated.
@@pickyaudio yes I did. Impossible if you don’t know how. Very easy if you do. I just Googled my question and got the answer pronto. Thanks for asking.
I’m just worried about sweat and water resistant let’s say when I’m in the gym I have Bose wired earbuds from 2016 I have a Samsung S 21+ and an iPhone 12 promax but I’m also a person who jogs and runs as well go to the gym I need something to stay in my ear I hearing mixed things about the bose that you presented in the video which I’m interested in at Best Buy for $279 and the AirPods $250 at the Apple store What do you mean by only using one earbud I want to listen to music I'm not able to use both earbuds?
The fit for me is really secure and for some it isn't, it's different for everyone. But the general consensus is that they are secure. You can use both at the same time but if you want to just use one at a time you can only use the right earbud
Got them a week ago and i don't know what's a lot of wind noise is to you if consider them to have minimal 😂 riding a bicycle at normal speeds gives you that "riding a motorcycle on the highway without a helmet"-feel. Even thinking about returning them since a little jogging already geht's them going
@@pickyaudio have you tested the newer ANC TWS earbuds when biking? I would be super interested to hear if some brand/model has overcome this challenge! Note: I’m not even expecting the buds to cancel out the wind… just to decrease it a bit, or at least not to ”increase the wind noise” as most pairs (that I’ve owned) seem to do! I hate that I have turn off the ANC in order to avoid cracking sounds caused by wind hitting the mics. Biking next to car traffic sounds awful without ANC. PS. I love your pickiness in your videos😃🙏

Haha I take years to research before buying as well 😂
@@pickyaudio I received my earbuds on Friday.
Great video
Cool to hear you agree and wow that’s nice to hear you prefer these over the Sennys! Hopefully the EQ comes soon🤞
Download a bass boost app...
Can’t do that on iPhone sadly
@@rzr62 Only way you can do that is if you use Spotify. They have a built in EQ. Sadly Apple Music still doesn’t have one which I think is pathetic. (They have the one in settings but those are only presets, no actual manual adjustments) Apple Music needs atleast a basic 3 band eq (preferable more) and crossfade as well. I think they don’t have a manual EQ because it’s not as “user friendly” and not everyone is into that stuff or even cares. But for people that know how to use it, it really sucks not to have one. C’mon Apple...
@@camoturtle18 Thx for the Information 👍🏻
This is the first time i saw one of your videos. The shake test really got mee🤣🤣🤣🤣. Already subscribed 🤣🤣 alfter 4 minutes. Awesome!!!
Haha I give it my all with that test 😂 Thanks for the subscribe 😊
Thanks for the great reviews! Just curious, what do you do with all these different headphones you buy? Do you re-sell them or just hold on to the many different ones you review?
Thank you! I keep most of them so I can compare them 😊
I could use both buds individually. Thanks for the video!
Ah yes! After the recent update they added that feature in as well
I just got mines today. Greta review, very accurate! Subscribed!
Thanks! Hope you’re liking them 😊
Superb great review!!! So...any difference in terms of sound quality between BOSE QC earbuds and BOSE sport earbuds(leaving out NC)? Thank you in advance😊😊😊
Thank you! Yet to purchase the sports earbuds. Hopefully Bose sorts me out 🙌
Got the sports version last night and went exchanges the QC this morning. I believe more expensive one always better. The case isn’t that big to fit into your pocket unless you wear leggings. By the way I don’t even carry case to the gym for just couple hrs.
Still recommended? Reliable? Thanks.
Hi, great review! So much good info! One question though, do you think they would fit small ears? I wonder if they might be a good option for women?
Potentially. They come with smallish eartips but the only way to know is to try them out
@@pickyaudio I bought them and the smallest eartips fit perfectly. However, I sometimes experience a lack of good sound quality. I use mine with my Samsung Galaxy s20+ (Spotify user).
Would you be kind and listen to "The greatest show on earth" by Nightwish? :)
I'd like your opinion on the sound quality while using your Bose buds.
@@pickyaudio fantastic thanks for clearing that up. Much appreciated. Will definitely subscribe to your channel
No worries! Welcome to the picky fam 😊
Dude, which one do you prefer btw Airpod pro and Bose QC earbuds?
Bose QC for sound and anc. AirPods Pro’s are more comfortable though. But I’m all about sound so if I was to choose one I would go the Bose
Definitely gonna purchase these. Great review!!!!
Thanks! You won’t regret it 😊
@@pickyaudio you’re welcome
I like my volume pretty loud... which is louder? I tried sony and I am not that happy with the volume so hopefully... bose is louder.
Yep Bose are louder 🙌
Nice review! I hope you also make a review about the sennheiser momentum 2 earbuds.
Thank you! I feel like I need to now 🙌
Would these withstand chalk used in a gym?
James, is it time for your review of the Bose QC II buds? I personally am looking forward to it.
got a pair the other day, love it! ur review is really helpful! :)
Thanks! Glad you like them 😊
Bought the Bose and the Airpod Pros.
Yea for the price that should not be a thing at all!
got a pair from offerup for 195, 200% worth it
Great deal!
That’s awesome! I use iPhone and sadly you can’t EQ earbuds individually. So out of all of those buds what is your favourite?
@@pickyaudio The bose with the App without it on iphone I'd would say the melomania touch comfortably. Worth noting it's firmware is early and it was quite buggy ( not as bad as the Klipsch) worth a review as the sound is really impressive especially mid range. Like the tevi but more low quality end .
They sound weird when you’re sitting in the back of a minivan when the window is down. Have you experienced that?
Did you test the battery life with or without ANC? When you got 6 hours that is.
Oh yea didn’t mention that. That was with ANC on 😊
@@pickyaudio Which means ANC on maximum?
It’s unbelievable that for the price and after waiting for so long these don’t have volume controls. Without that, are they really worth it? I wouldn’t want to take out the phone every time I need to adjust the volume
It’s definitely a deal breaker for some, if I didn’t review earbuds or I just wanted one pair of earbuds I probably wouldn’t get them cause of it. But I really hope they come out with an update
Control the volume verbally using Google Assistant (Android) or Siri (iPhone).
Siri and I had a fight recently so sadly I can’t 😞
Honestly I don’t need Siri or volume controls because my Apple Watch can change the volume that’s always on my wrist and generally I listen to music with my watch not my phone and that’s what I don’t wanna carry my phone with me
You put the xm3 last...but when listening to them.....I bet you didn't use the foam tips. I had these ... and when using the foam tips they are excellent. You get a better seal which helps with the noise and sound.
Nah the foam tips didn’t fit me very well. They would provide better ANC though. The same as the WFXM4
@@pickyaudio Not the foam tips that Sony provide. I purchase some Comply foam tips from Amazon. Problem solved.
Thanks. 😀😀
Yep they’re fine when jumping. They do bounce around a tiny bit but they aren’t coming out 🙌
@@pickyaudio Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the quick reply. 😀😀
hello i have a question. is this bluetooth compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
Such great review! Very detailed and very informational! Also such a fun and handsome guy! Lol just got yourself a new sub. Looking forward to more reviews, Mr. Picky!
Thanks Justine! 😊
i've yet to try these but i've seen some reviews the ear tip wings probably make them more secure in the ear i have the xm3 and airpod pro's the flaws with the pro is the battery life and maybe not too perfect for running the xm3 were uncomfortable fall out more the ANC wasn't as great and like the bose the case is pretty big i wish the bose at the price would have a decent mic for calls and smaller case but since you said the ANC was good i might just get these.
Sounds to me like they’re for you 🙌
It’s the same surface material as on the outside of the bose qc 700 headphones (I have both).
I agree! Some gesture based touch controls would be a great idea. That’s impressive the sound is nearly as good as the 700s!
I was going to buy these until I discovered the QuietComfort II is coming out soon. I'll wait to get those. Still, good review. Thanks!
Hey Julia! Check out the Tozo NC9 or If you can’t get those the Taotronic Sound Liberty 94 😊
IS ANC setting 0 the same as transparency mode?
these have volume adjustable touch controls
Yep they released an update for it
Awesome review been looking to purchase these soon but I can’t believe you missed out the trance genre review😂. It was coming on the list and I though I was going crazy. Great review though 👍
Thank you! I know I was devastated
when I was editing, but trance is really good on these 🙌
Hello from San Diego CA. Thank you for the review. First time I see you. I just bought these earbuds. I am enjoying them so far. Great sound and call quality. Which one is your favorite earbuds so far? Do you own an Android or iPhone? 🙏
Hey Jose! That’s great you’re liking them, these are my no.1 right now and I use iPhone 😊
Amazing review!!! How would you compare these compare to AirPods Pro terms of sound quality?
Min 12:17..."i have a 12 inch so you can really feel"...🤣
😂
Picky Audio That is helpful ...thanks
I concur...Sold my airpods pro for the bose qc earbuds ...and absolutely loving it...
Now what i felt
Airpods pro cons: I am not the only one who felt uncomfortable after 5mins of using airpods pro
Music quality is nice and clean but dont expect too much..
ANC :it is good no doubt but again its in a mid range...
Airpods pro PROS : if your want it primarily for calls then go for it best mic quality and connectivity...
Spatial audio:it is just cool...
Bose Cons:the big case and the battery life of the case...
Can be connected to one device at a time
Inky right earbud can be used individually..
Bose pro: THE BEST ANC TECH AND AROUND 25%-30%more noise cancellation than AirPods Pro...
The best music reproduction.. the signature bose stuff...
Active EQ yech is good because it is doing the job for you to produce the best sound ...
Every instrument is crisp and clear
So my friends in short if you are looking for good anc and music quality (which was ny prinary concern) then go for bose and for the people out there whose ears are not accepting airpods pro(of you are feeling the pain ) then bose qc earbuds are very comfortable...
None of the product is bad ..its upto you..
PS
I got my airpods pro without testing so before getting bose i read every review and watch all the videos then i personally checked
Sony XM3 earbuds and xm4headphone and sennheiser tw momentum 2 and bose nc700 and qc 35 II and after that i got Bose qc earbud and i am satisfied...
So kindly check if possible before getting one...
Peace🙂
Thanks for sharing your experience and insight! Glad you’re liking them 😊
Picky Audio they are superb🙂...i had to pay $360 here in India but still worth it...
Very secure fit
I wonder if headphones (Bose QC 35s etc) have better sound than these? Earbuds are good but usually headphones excel if you don’t need portability
I don't own them sadly but yea usually headphones provide better sound stage and imaging. But honestly I think it would be pretty close.
hey, do you know if it would be safe to charge the bose quietcomfort earbuds case with a huawei super charger and cable meant for phones?
Yea that should be fine but it's best to check the manual to be 100% sure or contact Bose
Very detailed review
Thanks 😊
Gem of a channel
Thank you! 😊
As I'm listening to this video with my left earbud only. The catch is you have to leave the case lid open.
If you update them on the app you can now use either bud individually 🙌
Bose done some good updates with volume control and a EQ. I think bose must of watched your video and made improvements with updates.
How does it compare to the Sennheiser momentum?
Yet to try them out
Can you stream music from Apple Music and listening to UA-cam videos?
Yep
Absolutely brilliant review. Subbed!
Cheers Ambar! 😊
Great review
Thank you 😊
thx buddy - One question: Is there any way to turn off the headphones entirely while inear?
Can you switch to the previous track on forward to the next one on the ear piece?
Only next track with a hold on the left earbud
@@pickyaudio do u think the sound it still worth to?
The ANC is still the best in any price range. Sound is also up there if you like a mid forward/balanced sound signature. It’s just the fit that is hit and miss for some
GREAT REVIEW!! New subscriber here. I just bought the BOSE QC earbuds. They are the ONLY earbuds that will stay in my ears. One BIG problem that perhaps you can answer. I can not pair these to my new Samsung TV!! Is it me??? Assistance most appreciated.
Thank you! Iv'e never owned a TV with bluetooth. Did you end up figuring it out?
Yea wind noise being a windy day, there isn’t any earbud on the market that can prevent bicycle wind noise sadly. At least not yet
