The greatest album of any genre of music out there. Nothing compares to it for me, everything about metal music I love and resonate with is here, and it's very potent. Thank you Indian.
About a decade ago, this was one of my favourite albums. It's sad they disbanded after Bill passed away. We lost one of the most brutal bands in existence.
This is the most badass album intro I've ever heard I think. The way No Able Fires transitions into Ration floors me every fucking time. Depravity and degeneracy fueled by pure hatred of all things good true and beautiful
To me, it's more like the last little bit of all things good true and beautiful leaving you, I guess? Like having a brief moment of clarity, realizing just how much you've fallen away from what you thought you were, realizing just how many doors you've opened, and realizing how you've no longer the capacity to enjoy something beautiful anymore, all you have is memories of what "used to be". This album really helped me come to terms with this, I still remember really well the first couple of times I listened to it. It seriously enabled me to find a bit of beauty in this journey of life. I think it displays really well the cycles we go through as humans, particularly those of us who are inclined towards art such as this. I'm super super glad this album seems to be gaining some traction among new fans within this past year. I'm not sure where this resurgence is coming from but I'm very glad others are finding it.
@Napalmthrower I found out about Indian from Fantano's reviews of their latest two releases. This is easily their best🔥🤮🔥 and well said! This really is the soundtrack to the complete erosion of the soul. It feels guuuuud going down in a deliciously ironic kind of way, and that "good" feeling is the BEAUTY in this utter brutality. It's beautiful because of how lacking it is in anything considered conventionally beautiful. Thousands of dollars worth of therapy contained within the parameters of this masterpiece. You speak my language friend💪🤠
@@ryanofficer Maybe not my place, but do you know much about him? There is not an abundance of information on anything Indian related on the internet, and I've been a huge fan of this band since I discovered them.
Almost none from this era. They're pretty hard to find even when you search for them, I have a playlist on my channel of live vids that has some vids of them performing these older songs on it.

This album is one of the scariest and most savage in all of doom.

So, stoner rock?
Almost like doom metal or sludge?
....and? Its actually doom or sludge, or stoner metal. Call it what you want, just make sure you don't forget to add the word heavy to it.
