This is one of the greatest rock songs ever, the next song on the album is called A Light in the Black and it’s the continuation of the story of this song.
Rainbow is one of my favorite groups. "Catch the Rainbow", "Gates of Babylon", "Temple of the King", "Man on the Silver Mountain", "Long Live Rock N Roll", " Kill the King" and "Light in the Black". Their live concert footage (1977 Munich Concert) is magical. "Catch the Rainbow", "Mistreated", and "Man on the Silver Mountain" standout and are epic. The Graham Bonnet era (Since You've Been Gone" and "All Night Long"), the Joe Lynn Turner era ("Stone Cold", "Street of Dreams") and the Doogie White era ("Ariel" and "Hunting Humans") are also worth of checking out. Ritchie Blackmore is the soul of this group and is one of the best guitarist ever.
The vocals of Ronnie James Dio are incomparable, the melody is mesmerizing, beautiful transitions, the guitar solo is fire! One of Rainbow's best live songs. Ritchie Blackmore knew how to pick the right team, given that the composition of the Rainbow changed every year.
One of the greatest songs ever, and one of Blackmore’s greatest solos. He’s a master at building tension in his solos. Check out his solo in Burn, by Deep Purple. I know you’ve reacted to several Purple songs, but Burn should be next.
Good lad, have been hoping you'd do this song. It's truly magnificent and pretty much as good as it gets. Been listening to it for well over 40 years and it never stops being epic.
I can´t find a better song that this to blow my mind everytime i hear it. If you turn the volume up, (reasonably) it´s like getting an experience out of the body
The Munich Phiharmonic Orchestra at the end coming in is the icing on the cake. Name me one more powerful song, together with the lyrics and Dios voice - unsurpassed to this day. Saw the 1976 ( I was 16teen years old) in Frankfurt Germany Jahrhunderthalle, opener AC/DC ! believe it or not. Ticket prices 16 Deutschmark, 8 Dollars in todays currency. No smartphones, no tattoo bullshit. People were silence wen Ritchie playd Catch The Rainbow. We had a gas in the 70 ies with all those top notch band. Richtie penned about 50 worldclass riffs. Like Steve Vai said: ther is no bad Blackmore riff. Those were them days.
i loved rainbow, they were considered "pschyedelic acid rock" cuz of ritchie's guitar solos, hippie ronnie was my favorite, you should watch the live videos of this one and catch the rainbow in berlin 78 or 79
For more Rainbow I'd check out Gates of Babylon for sure, and with singer Joe Lyn Turner the killer melodic rock classic, Stone Cold. For more Ronnie James Dio the epic Black Sabbath tunes The Sign of the Southern Cross, Heaven & Hell and Computer God. For Cozy Powell two of his best tracks are with Whitesnake; Slow 'an Easy and Love Ain't No Stranger which is one of my all time favorite drum tracks.
Just found your channel and I love it! So nice to see a younger person discovering these gems. I would humbly suggest Rainbow's version of "mistreated" live in Munich. Thanks for the video.
You are the only one who have mentioned the synthesizer work underneath or the strings I don´t know if it´s made by a orchestra or a synthesizer. but it´s doing a great job to make this song so fantastic
Its NEOclassical, not nonclassical. Neoclassical is hard rock or heavy metal with a classical music influence, combining its structure with technical ability.
the greatest rock metal vocalist ever in history period no contest plus Ritchie blackmore , was lucky enough to meet both Ronnie n Lemmy n more 13+ times over 30 years+ Ronnie was the sweetest dude He loved his fans combine him with Geezer Cozy Iommi and you got the metal gods nobody could command a stage or tell a story like Ronnie he sounded just as badass 1st number as he did 3 hrs later live, even in his 60s with stomac cancer Ronnie James Dio was known for popularizing the sign of the horns in heavy metal. He claimed his Italian (siccilian ) grandmother used it to ward off the evil eye (which is known in Italy as malocchio). Dio began using the sign soon after joining the metal band Black Sabbath in 1979. still got my original albums signed .... Never Forgotten you little man with the voice of a roaring god Ronnie James Dio “He loved his fans, he never forgot where he came from, and he always wanted them. He said to [Halestorm frontwoman] Lzzy Hale as well, and she’s continuing on doing that. So he said, ‘When you meet someone you won’t remember that 10 years down the line, it was nothing, but to them it was everything, and they will never forget it for the rest of their life. So make it important when you speak to them.'” he was wrong becourse several times over the years he asked me how it was goin with this n that so some he remembered ... In November 2009, Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died of the disease six months later. Dio is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential heavy metal vocalists of all time. not fair to lose Dio n lemmy n more but keep Bieber n Co
I, and many others, will say that we'll never again hear anything of the sort ever. They're no longer craftsman of the skill that created it. To which I say horse puckey! They're out there. They don't have the platform anymore.
Gotta agree 100%. From what I’ve seen, Salvo cares about the music and the way it impacts the listener, versus so many ‘reaction phonies’ who are in it for I dunno why.
Ahhhh, yes.......Richie Blackmore and Dio takes me back to the 70's with underaged drinking, fat joints and fast muscle cars on back roads late at night.....stereo hammering......it was GREAT to be alive!
My favorite metal song, Judgement Day by LOVEBITES ua-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/v-deo.html. EPIC AF, like all of their songs. Just released Christmas eve, new album being released Feb 23rd. Their 20yr old bassist Fami has her own YT channel w/700k+ subs, good God the talent in this band is going to disrupt the balance of the ying and the yang in the world. Their abilities are not of this world, whether it's Fami thumb-tapping the base, 4' 9" Haruna destroying the drums, the one and only voice Asami belting out the vocals or the best guitar duo ever, Midori and Miyako absolutely slaying their ESP and Dean axes respectively...what a sight to be seen. They wreak of all the great NWOBHM and thrash metal bands of the 80s, and yet have modernized the sound. 🤘🐺
This is one of the greatest rock songs ever, the next song on the album is called A Light in the Black and it’s the continuation of the story of this song.
If "Stargaze" is underrated (and I think it is) "A Light in the Black" is even more. It's sad, cause it's just as good.
The greatest rock poem ever written!
Dio 🔥🔥
No voting needed, "Stargazer" all the way to the top.
This song is f##$#ing insane. Dio and blackmore are phenomenom

One of the best rock albums of the 70’s
The best rock album of all time in my opinion =)
@@flenzyaouldnt argue. Its a great album. Stargazer is one of the best songs ever. I never get tired of it.
For me, the best with the fisrt Black Sabbath`s album and "In Rock" by Deep Purple
The vocals of Ronnie James Dio are incomparable, the melody is mesmerizing, beautiful transitions, the guitar solo is fire! One of Rainbow's best live songs. Ritchie Blackmore knew how to pick the right team, given that the composition of the Rainbow changed every year.
I didnt liked the live versions ive listened. They were playing so fast. Song lost its meaning for me.
For my money the best live is the "mistreated" version in Munich.
It’s my second favourite rock song of that “era” after Child In Time by Deep Purple.
Light in the Black, Gates of Babylon, Kill the King and Eyes of the World are all awesome songs from Rainbow. Brilliant group!
One of the greatest songs ever, and one of Blackmore’s greatest solos. He’s a master at building tension in his solos. Check out his solo in Burn, by Deep Purple. I know you’ve reacted to several Purple songs, but Burn should be next.
Absolutely!
This one definitely deserves to be in the tournament. A Light In The Black is a continuation of the story.
This is Dio at his best. Three of the greatest rock songs have had Dio on the vox and two of those songs had Jimmy Bain on bass
The guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, left Deep Purple to form his own band Rainbow. He's the best.
Good lad, have been hoping you'd do this song. It's truly magnificent and pretty much as good as it gets. Been listening to it for well over 40 years and it never stops being epic.
Fabulous band. Other great tracks include Light in the Black, Gates of Babylon, Rainbow Eyes and Lost in Hollywood
the 3 first Rainbow albums were huge. Ritchie, Ronnie and Cozy at their best
Rainbow with Ronnie as the front man was epic in concert.
I can´t find a better song that this to blow my mind everytime i hear it. If you turn the volume up, (reasonably) it´s like getting an experience out of the body
Careful, Rainbow’s rabbit hole isn’t as deep as Rush’s but you can fall in quickly.🔥🤘🏻🎧

Dio made everything majestic

We just dont want the song to end....isn't it.....ITS SUCH AN EPIC!!!!....There's no song that can beats this......❤❤❤
Just found your channel and I love it! So nice to see a younger person discovering these gems. I would humbly suggest Rainbow's version of "mistreated" live in Munich. Thanks for the video.
It's always been in my top 5 ❤
this is a masterpiece. In every way.
Do Rainbow "Man on a Silver Mountain" and then Black Sabbath "Heaven and Hell" and do them on the same day. Then you will know!
I concur
Absolute classic
Ronnie James Dio, one of the best vocalists of all time. RIP🖤
My one of many favourite songs from rainbow and dio
You are the only one who have mentioned the synthesizer work underneath or the strings I don´t know if it´s made by a orchestra or a synthesizer. but it´s doing a great job to make this song so fantastic
Please check out Rainbow - Man on the silver Mountain. It's fire 🔥
Metal God!
Gates of Babylon is probably my favourite Rainbow song.

Dio was so amazing.
Still gets the chills after hearing this since the early 80s
Probably also in your next llfe
Career performances from Dio and Blackmore...
Please try more Rainbow! Everyone that's reacts always does this song! Please MAN ON THE SIVER MOUNTAIN OR ALL NIGHT LONG!
Great reaction... Dio is the goat... Please react to Rainbow- Mistreated live in Munich 1977 .... It's the best live perfomance of his and the band..
Absolutely a great live song, one of Dio's very best performances.
Have they put a flanger on the cymbals?
Awesome bro! Another song you haven't heard but it will f*cking hit hard: R.E.M. - Leave

Dio sang for Black Sabbath after Rainbow check out Heaven and Hell by Sabbath
Ritchie Blackmore rules.
Richie Blackmore was ex Deep Purple
Gates of Babylon is mesmerizing.

チェロとビオラのスコアもリッチーが書いたみたいだね。
You've just listened to the greatest vocal performance of all time, and You didn't even notice it...🤔
SG = Star Gazer?
please, Make an analysis Queensrÿche - The Chase feat. R. J. Dio.
(Live at The Moore Theater, 2006)
Are you listening to the singer or the music?
Rainbow is an amazing group but not nearly as good once Dio left
You have not said anything about the vocals on this video... dude
Do more homework! Im out.
I appreciate the research you do to familiarize yourself with exactly what and who you are listening to. i wish more reactors understood context.
