Hello, friend. Hello, friend? That's lame. Maybe I should give you a name, but that's a slippery slope. You're only in my head. We have to remember that.
I like your direction, idk how I feel about the audio. The choices are good, I think you maybe could have... idk I'd have to mess with it myself. Basically what I would try to achieve is keeping the voices in the mid... and the music and sfx in the extremes. Or the exact opposite, or a mix of both. Either way... this was very moving
Wow superbe vidéo. J'ai terminé la série mi décembre. Et j'ai encore du mal à m'en remettre. J'arrête pas de regarder des compilés etc sur la série tellement ça m'a marqué. Une série peu connue en France et c'est dommage
i’m not a big fan of how the director decided to end the story, him not being real makes the whole story pointless, all his pain, struggle, everything he went through, all ruined for a cheap plot twist
what ? he was real btw, he was just another personality having control over elliot's body so it doesn't make anything pointless, the ending is one of the best in television.
I was actually pleasantly surprised how well the ending was , considering usually how bad ending to really good shows were going , I loved it and cried like a baby
I can see where you’re coming from, but I disagree. All his struggles still mattered because they ultimately contributed to his final development. The MM, through all his struggles, learned to allow Real Elliot to live life as it actually is instead of making him live life as he’d like it to be. That’s why his struggles matter even in spite of the final twist making him “Not the real Elliot.” They allow him to learn the lesson he should’ve learned all along, the lesson that cost Tyrell, Angela, and Whiterose their lives, that being instead of deluding yourself into thinking life is something other than what it is, you have to accept life for what it actually is if you want to actually improve the world.
Well that's not how DID works. The Elliot we follow throughout the show, as well as Mr. Robot, are not imaginary, they aren't ghosts, they are alternate personalities of a person with DID and as such are real. Everything that happened in the show was not a dream or imagination, it all really happened. In the end of the show all the personalities reintegrate (reintegration being one of the main objectives of the therapy for some DID patients) so Elliot is whole again, this means that all the memories, feelings, and lessons learned by "Our" Elliot and Mr. Robot throughout the show are now reintegrated in the core personality of the system, the "Real" Elliot, so nothing changes except that now Elliot doesn't dissociates and remembers all the things that happened "separately" to "Our" Elliot and Mr. Robot as things that happened to him. Everything still matters, the stakes are the same: Elliot did save the world by taking down the top 1% of the top 1%, he did learn to love himself and accept the love of others, Angela, Tyrell, and everyone else are still dead, and he still has a lot of emotions to process and psychological healing to do. Literally nothing was pointless. Narratively speaking it makes sense, because the main conflict of the protagonist's character development, as well as one of the main conflicts in the plot, is the fact that the protagonist is split in several personalities, so the logical solution for this conflict is making this person whole again. So even if the Elliot we followed had been the "core" Elliot, he wouldn't have been the same Elliot we knew all along after the reintegration. And from a writing point of view it wasn't cheap either, because the final twist was properly foreshadowed and developed, I mean, that there are hints of the reveal since the first season, there are no gaps or contradictions between the story or the plot and the reveal, etc.
Goodbye, friend.
Hopefully not my friend
