Thanks, you're one of the very few reviewers that have REAL performance opinions (or at least ones that seem similar to what I experience with a lot of the same perfumes). I wore this and it lasted less than 30 minutes "projecting", then 3 to max 4 hours as a skin scent, and that's it.
Little tip for bottles that have this problem (non seethrough). I always weigh the bottle once i got it. Then its easy math. Lets say it weighs 250g for a 50ml bottle. Thats your 100%. We assume you used the bottle for a year and it now only weighs 200g. So have you ~40ml (80%) left in that 50ml bottle. Yes, we are using mass and not volume in this case, but it should be pretty reliable anyway.
Yeah I totally know about that solution but sometimes I get a bottle that is already started and in that case I no clue. Also, buyers or people who want to trade with you just have to take your word for it... a see-through bottle is just easier. The best solution is actually what Amouage does, the bottles appear to be opaque but you can easily see through them against a light source.
Great review! I prefer the original myself, but neither really put me in the mood of being near a mediterranean coast. Can even become slightly pungent in the heat if oversprayed, so I wouldn't necessarily call it a citrus freshie. Not one of my favourites from the brand.
Very nice review, and I like the idea of explaining the feeling, the vibe (maybe ethe comparison?) and not so much the specific notes. Great job! I was looking recently for a perfume with a marine, a salty vibe, combined with some citrus for the hot and humid days in Greece (not for the evening), and I tested Costa Azzura, Oud Minerale, but also MEGAMARE, none of all met my expectations. But I have found Pomelo Riviera, Atelier des Ors, to be perfect for this task! Awesome quality and a vividly air of the salty sea and the pomelo. Give it a try!
Great channel, just found it recently - keep it up! Was wondering whether you have any particular thoughts on PDM Greenley - I saw you mention that you don’t particularly like PDM as a house in another video but in my opinion Greenley is extremely unique yet inoffensive
Thanks so much for the comment. I never tried Greenley, I have a plan to get some more PDM samples but yeah, in general I feel the house is too "safe" for my taste :D
How do you compare this Costa Azzurra and Beau de Jour (and Oud Minerale)? Which one will fit a 40 plus years old who is charming and no need to prove anything.
@@AbdulSalam-ek3vj I order: Costa Azzurra, Beau De Jour and Oud Minerale are increasingly loud, both in volume and in scent profile while still being all elegant. It depends on your taste 🙂
Tom Ford is to me brand which is hit or miss, regarding its price points. Yes, there are fantastic offerings like tobacco vanille, tuscan leather, ombre leather, black orchid. But there is so many bad or generic offerings. Presentation is really a dud with this brand. Plastic caps and those spitting atomisers are really not up to the level of its so called luxury. To me whole brand is about marketing. Prices are pumped and the brand can be found literally everywhere. I always refer on a quote that my friend tells. If you dont know about better, TF is an excellent house 😂😂
@@Principemostprincipe completely agree, I guess I have this attachment to the brand because it’s the one that got me into fragrances and because I genuinely like Tom Ford the guy (even though he is not part of the company anymore).
@@J.A.G-w8j yes, I’ve gone through many bottles at many price points now and even cheap products can have awesome sprayers so really, there is no excuse.

@@romancg yeah, this one too is so incredibly disappointing in the performance department that I gave traded it off right after filming the video.

You can always shake it ;)
You're right about how cool the 50ml from TOM FORD look.

Yeah, I really wanted to like this one. As mentioned, I even like the scent but it doesn’t even last.
Nice review! Coincidentally my first TF bottle was also Ombré Leather!
Ol’ reliable!
