Your airline looked just fine. Unlike Felix David is an hyper critical reviewer. Seriously I am not sure what he expects for a 3 hour flight in economy. A three course banquet? I was pleasantly surprised to see the 3 different pastries to be honest. This reviewer is fond of hyperbolic titles for his "critiques" like "BRUTALLY HONEST review of" etc....Meh. Click bait. I would not give it a second thought.
I just flew last weekend for the first time since January. It was definitely a different experience but I felt extremely safe. The airports, lounges, and TSA have been doing a great job at following the health guidelines. I was honestly pretty impressed. Specifically SFO

For those who wonder and probably offended that it's a disappointing meal: Emirates serves hot meal on the same route and the meal that RJ serves looks like it's a 1 hour flight meal on other ME carrier

I've flown with Royal Jordanian on one retrun trip from the UK to Thailand. The outward trip was nothing special, but the return coincided with the tsunami aftermath. Our flight was diverted to stop in Jordan without advance notice. We were bused to a hotel and thrown together with strangers to share a room (I ended up with someone who had lost 3 friends because he had headed to Chiang Mai the day before the tsunami hit, and they gad stayed on the islands). There was no alarm call for breakfast - which meant i had one luke warm coffee and a cold slice of toast. In short - zero points for customer care or support, and mediocre for the in-flight service.
Wow! Reports are a lot nicer! It’s way better with these fantastic timestamps so I can quickly jump to my fave bits of the reports! As always thanks for the reviews, I always enjoy them!
Can’t wait to see the simply aviation team back on the road (in the air)...!!!! Your trip reports are so much fun to watch...especially with the bloody COVID miss these trip reports even more :(
I simply (no pun intended) agree. Royal Jordanian compared to its other Middle Eastern competition is lacking in several parts although it is still a great airline. Great video!👌👌👌
In my opinion, the product shown in this video is extremely good and competitive. Even on a short flight of only three hours, one has an excellent Infight Entertainment System ( IFE ) and a choice of options. The plane's Economy Class and Business Class seats look good and the meal served is reasonable for a flight of this duration and the fact that there is a serious epidemic ongoing should make us grateful we are being fed at all in the air. This would be a very solid product if the flight had been happening in the US.
It does seem pretty interesting at first glance, but the suburb of Dearborn is one of the largest Arab communities in the United States, if not the largest. The DPM (Detroit’s elevated train) even has signage in both Arabic and English!

I have traveled with RJ before and I agree with the fact that it is a good airline but not up to the level of Qatar or Emirates. However, they are capable of competing with them. They have a pretty modern fleet, the livery is beautiful kinda like QR. All they need is to do a good marketing, fly to more destinations, and work on food and inflight entertainment
I miss the pre corona period as i was recently traveling through a flight while enjoying the same flight review on that plane from your channel👍🏻😄 as it's not just about review...it appears more soothing and enjoyable watching amazing shots you took in your videos ...Thanks alot❤️
This might sound like a strange question, but before purchasing a ticket with real Jordanian and I was just wondering how common is it to see people bringing their pets on board and cabin for Long haul flights? I'm super allergic to cats and just wondering did you see many people with pet carriers? And even further... How common is it for people to carry pets in cabin on international flights in general?
the few times i flew with Royal Jordanian it was generally a pleasant experience ... but of course they cant compete with airlines as big and rich as Emirates, Saudia, Qatar etc.
Why don't you list the price Royal Jordanian charge for this route compared to what Emirates charge? If you want to pay Emirates prices, you can have an Emirates meal. I don't believe your criticism of RJ holds much value given the great disparity between the price each carrier routinely charges.
I kinda have to agree with you here. Besides, the overall service and product is not that bad for a 3 hour flight. A pillow, headphones, IFE, a snack box, the leg room....that´s pretty good for any airline in the world for an economy flight of this length, in Europe/NA you most likely get none of the mentioned things. And yeah, Emirates and Qatar Airways are better, but they are better than pretty much any airline in the world so the comparison is not that fair. I don´t know about the prices, but I have to assume RJ is cheaper, too.
In terms of pilots and safety record they are one of the best if not the best. On the other hand, they have been through multiple episodes of corruption that has impeded them from expanding their fleet with more modern aircraft as well as providing better customer service training for the local crew. Lately they started hiring Lebanese, Ukrainian and Thai cabin crew and that resulted in a slightly better attitude towards passengers. Many of the local crew members are old in age and for younger ones to be hired huge connections are needed. Degrading economy class meals quality is due to their continuous cost cutting policies. They tend to provide far more superior quality ones in the premium crown class cabin
I think the lack of a voiceover is what makes them unique to me, it takes in the ambiance and atmosphere, so many flight review channels did this 6-7 years ago and now Simply Aviation is probably the last of this kind and now the most popular!

Royal Jordanian uses airbus a320? I thought it uses Boeing 787
They do. But the 787 is used for long haul flights like ORD to AMM (Chicago O'hare to Queen Alia International). The A320 is used for shorter flights.
