- The wacky rig is one of the best lures for targeting and catch bass during the spawn. It's a deadly post spawn bait as well. It has a slow tantalizing fall that the bass can't resist. I share my wacky rig rod and reel set up, favorite baits, hooks, line and more. This was a very fun spring day of bass fishing in shallow water without LiveScope.

Ya that was a fun day.
Been whacking them on the wacky for about a month here in central AR. I tried several hooks Gabe and that VMC is the best I've used for hookups and keeping them pinned. We are about to go back offshore pretty soon. I bought some weighted wacky hooks to the wacky rig out deeper. Fun video!
I've caught some big bass (PB-81/2 & 814) on stick baits. It's more than the "do nothing" bait some people seem to think it is. I've never tried it on bedding fish though, looks like it's time to give it a try.

Gabe you and I use the exact same setup, imo the yum dinger is the best. I will be tossing a whacky alot this coming Saturday in my tourney. That VMC hook is a bad dude! Also I don’t know what leader line you like but I ordered some Seaguar Gold Label this spring and it is amazing. Something is different about it. Great videos and great tips man!

whats the name of the go pro mount in the stern nav light? i broke my yak pack powered one and not trying to spend another 150+$ to replace it when i can just use my jackery or battery pack to keep it charged. just hoping its cheaper lol

Seems like I can only catch small ones on the wacky rig. Although it is my favorite bait.
It catches all sizes. Maybe try a 6" worm.
