I took a tour there in Oct 13, 1998 or 99 on a nightly ghost tour. Nice beautiful place, creepy at night but didn't experience anything odd! No ghost or orbs.

I went there at the start of this year {2018} it was the best experience of my life so interesting and I did the ghost tour that was the best

When I first visited Port Arthur in 1993 the limestone buildings were in what I would consider to be original condition for buildings that age the limestone being weathered and discolored. By the time I revisited in 1999 many of the buildings had been sandblasted by some misguided fools rounding off the corners of the stonework and destroying the unique texture of large sections of the hand carved limestone bricks. I hope they sacked the person responsible for the vandalism.
