I got 12 packs yesterday and managed to pull an old frame ulamog, the defiler. I kept pulling good mythics. I’d buy 3. Pull some worthy like a sorin. Even trade for 3 more. And repeat until I got an ulamog
Gambling in casinos have better odds than booster packs. For the life of me I can’t understand why they can’t at least put a minimum value of reprints in them so at least it only ever feels as bad a paying for a precon.
@@palwatcher6903 absolutely, but I still feel like there’s points being considered when creating precons. Every set has reprints. They could easily put a minimum of known “good stuff” reprints in a bundle. I guess what I’m focusing on is that buying a precon feels far less like a gamble in terms of guaranteed value than boosters and bundles… and I’m sure there is something wotc “could” do about this… even if it’s in the form of adding x reprints to the new set cards.
@@nopedefnope9924 funny enough, the "good stuff" would decrease in value if they were easier to get. I remember Force of Will (the TCG) tried to solve this by making strong cards have a lower rarity version and a premium version, but in the end, it did not work. Keyforge tried to solve this, but then that whole rating system made consistent decks skyrocket in price
That’s like buying a lottery ticket and asking someone does this have value before you scratch it that’s all TCG products are is a lottery. You’re better off buying singles of the cards you want Instead of sealed product

because the secondary market determines the value of the cards, not WOTC (to an extent).
