Had a great race with your dad in the second split. Battled nearly the whole race. He was pretty fast. Got himself a top 5, and probably would have gotten a few more if not for a couple of idiots playing games on the last restart.

Good race, mistakes bit several of us in this one but thankfully no cautions. Long was definitely the way to go as you said, I think my halfway pit would have worked fine but not when you self spin into the wall and then onto pit road lol. Glad we got us a full split of people who won't just run over the guy in front of them every corner, makes these cars and races a lot more fun
@@jaguarusf just lost it on 2 tires and got a massive penalty spinning into the pits. Very dumb mistake haha oh well though still a good race from everyone
@@Griffin2448 Yeah it's gets crazy loose on 2 tires now, but it's worth the 10 second shorter pit stop IMHO. Luckily I ran a "practice" race the day before so I knew what to expect! I would have finished 2nd if I didn't pass my pit box and lose 3 seconds pitting, but it was a very fun race! Glad it stayed green.
Went for the ultra short pit strategy because I was already last, I guess it worked... It's just hard with these tires now to have fun driving these cars now.
Driving these intermediate tracks the way I used to before the update is causing me to get wrecking loose out of nowhere later in runs. Flipping a switch is exactly what it was like. I go from tight everywhere but the exit, to completely sideways midcorner in the blink of an eye. As you saw, that's why I pit on Lap 23. Not out of choice, but because I lost control and destroyed the wall. The exact same thing happened to me at Legacy Atlanta earlier this season. I don't understand these cars at all anymore, and I used to be pretty decent at this combo! It's like I hit an ice patch, little to no throttle/brake/inputs at all, and the car starts spinning. So confused.
Apparently I'm terrible here. Super slow in practice and qualy, I couldn't get the car to turn at all even with BB all the way back. Saved by 2 tires, it freed up so much, it felt like a completely different car.
I made another bonehead move ha. Guess I was just sleeping on exit and not paying attention. Good run though. Much better than you thought you’d finish.
Sweet! I've always been a fan of your dirt series stuff. Especially the modifieds and the sprint cars. You always handle things in professional manner and I give you a lot of respect for that.
It's pretty crazy, never meant to get to 2 videos a day, it just happened, and hasn't really felt like a job. Has been a massive help financially, nearly out of debt.
I took 2 tires; our laps times were pretty similar before pitting but I was slightly faster after pitting. You just have to be able to handle how loose the car gets, but for me it's worth it to save 10 seconds of pitting time and go slightly faster as well.
I over drove the first set of tires, rather than just settling in and running the same strategy as Jackson. Pitted earlier than I have all week, had more fuel on 2 tires than normal, stuffed it in the grass in 4, and then settled in after inadvertently pissing off Billy and then passing him... Lucky to get 7th... Thanks for the comment just before you checked out. On to darlington...
Thanks. Been doing 4 runs a week in these, getting some good splits and finishing well. Billy only running 1 show a week is right on my heels though. Getting into drop weeks now, so it will get interesting.
I would have won second split if the two leaders didn't bring out the caution with 8 to go and hit me. I was slow on start, fast on long runs because everyone was quick to burn them up. Salvaged an 8th finish.

The first time I hit the pits, it did not fill with gas, unbelievable lol. So I had to pit again for fuel, sad days haha. Good run Nick!

I also have a 50 foot cable running through my attic into the race room. I had wireless and it was bad, now I have no issues. Great video as always!

Yeah I felt that before in practice, I don't know what it is, like the sidewall rolls over and never recovers
