Nothing really is black & white, almost is everything is grey... although in fairness to dabi vs hawks x endeavor, hawks saw endeavor as a hero. He didnt experience him as the father the way toya did. Sadly too, dabi was picked up by afo later on whilst hawks was picked up by the heroes commission. But dont get me wrong, i love Hawk's resolve bec he himself couldve been a villain given how abusive his family was. I just hope dabi gets saved too somehow 😢
He is not the reason he became a villain he chose to be a villain by his own will, endeavor qas a bad father but he was not the reason for his son's evil arc, it was actually afo. Ur father being disappointed in you and not giving u enough attention is no reason to be evil

These scenes really cut so deep because you just see a kid. A literally child. Who’s hurting soo deeply. And that pain turned to anger. It’s honestly heart breaking. All villains were once just kids..
You can't help but feel bad for a lot of these villains because they have such tragic backstories. Obviously I don't condone what they've done but you can definitely understand how they got to where they were.

But Dabi's body condition is not good. That's why Endeavour abandoned his attention for Dabi. So Dabi worked hard to achieve the attention Endeavour gave him in the past. But Endeavour is a bad Father and always run away from Dabi as he deemed him failure

I can’t imagine some parents do this. Regardless, I truly hope and pray you know you are loved and valuable no matter what. Rough childhoods can beat us down but I always found peace when I talked to God. He’s been a constant friend and comfort despite the evil others permeate in this life. After all these years, He’s the only thing that works against all the pain and never delays when I call out for help. He calls himself a Father in the Bible so I say He’s mine when my parents let me down and abandoned me. This alway stuck in mind Psalm 27:10 “Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.”

Endeavor was totally f*** up at educating his children, especially Touya. Since Touya was born prematurely, his mental state and physical health weren’t as balanced as normal children. Maybe at that time people didn’t pay attention to child psychology or therapy much, but it didn’t mean that parents could neglect and distance their children for being mischievousness / stubbornness
Toya had a bad childhood. Well bad is an understatement, but still... I can emphatise with him. He was a kid who wanted attention from his father. He wanted the love and affection of his father. He wanted to show Endeavor that he could make what his father dreamed of come true. Which was to become stronger than All Might and be the No. 1 hero. But Endeavor was not a good father. He abused his kids. He never showed any care or concern or even paternal love for them. He only wanted his kids to become stronger than All Might as Endeavor himself could not achieve that dream of his. In the end his lack of attention made Toya become Dabi. While I do understand, I can never ever condone his actions. He became the worst possible version of himself. He took out his anger on innocent civilians.. He took out his anger on his little brother Shoto too. He has to face justice too for what he has done. But, I wish that before Dabi faces justice Shoto is able to get through to his brother. That there is some way for Dabi to change at least a little. Even if it means his death (I have not read the manga yet), I hope that Dabi learns that what he did was wrong, and that he can die as a slightly better person. Note: I am sorry if I am not making much sense.
I honestly feel like Toya but instead of my father, it’s my mother who I just wish could recognize me and show me legit affection. It’s so sad to see how much he was hurting before becoming a villain.
Villians have always a sad back story, but not every hurted child turns into a monster....some of them heal and are being dark empaths, who help others work with their shadows and become a better person. The best healer is the one who healed himself first. The one who walked through the pain and worked trough his own wounds, shadows and dark/negative emotions. When one is healed he can heal others.
The sad part is that Todoroki was most lilely to go down that same path with all the hatred he had for his father it was only because of the fight woth Deku that stopped him from that path
This hurts just watching this scene because no kid should go through that / and is father ruined his life the moment he was born and the sad part is his mom did nothing she could have at least grab hur kids and left !!

After endeavor and his wife had dabi endeavor forgot all about having a child with both quirks he was happy with Toya and his little family but, when they learnt that Toya’s powers were killing him he tried to stop toya from using his powers even though he wasn’t successfully because Toya wasn’t to beat almight so bad he didn’t listen to endeavor or his mom when they told him to stop he was rather rude to his mom and I get he was in pain but that was no excuse for Toya’s behavior. Toya’s attitude just got worse after shoto was born . I get that endeavor could have spent more time with him and tried to get through and explain everything to Toya but, endeavor didn’t know how to do so so the blame for why Toya is the way he is does not belong just to Endeavor it is the family as a whole’s fault

Children who born prematurely can have a higher chance of having social problems or mental illnesses than normal, healthy children, you can see it in some medical research. There are some hints of Touya having mental struggles: stimming, implusive, yanking his hair,… Touya’s mental state went down even more after the accident at Sekoto Peak, and yet there are also research about the link between burn victim and mental illnesses too I studied Educational Psychology at university so my view mostly focused on the mental struggles and education 😅

As someone who has abusive father, I can tell not everyone can rely on their parents, sometimes parents are the reason for your miserable life
