I was looking at the comments, and I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone mention that this is essentially an “infinity” video. They got the idea at the start of the video, from themselves at the end of the video. Once it ends, you can start it over and see it’s just one big circle.
(Maybe that’s too obvious, so no one is talking about it…but it’s still surprising nonetheless)

It’s crazy how the painting had the same colors that the food based on the song had.
Wait I didn't even notice that. Amazing
Oh I didn’t realize that but you’re right!!!
and how the song at the end retained that same sort of sound, I was absolutely blown away by how it sounded exactly how the food guy described, starting off in a deep dark place, only to be lifted up the base and explore each of the branches individually.

This video is the most "Rhett and Link" thing you've ever done. It was so original, creative, and fun. I had goosebumps when the piano started to sound like the song you created. Please never stop doing what you love.
EXACTLY!! it's SO Rhett and Link. That's the feeling that it gives.
it's extremely likely the "piano sounding like the original song" part was staged, but this was still an amazing idea and an amazing video.
I must extend my sincere apologies for avoiding this video for a few days. I really didn’t expect going into a video about 3D printing farts that I’d be presented with a profoundly moving short movie about the artistic process. I’m so proud of you guys for this one. Honestly blown away!! Thanks for the journey 🩷
Literally!! I sat down for at least 20 minutes of pure laughter and instead was in the same spot at the end I didn't expect to be, similar to The Lego Movie, Barbie, and more.
I avoided this too for a few days, I knew I'd watch it eventually but it didn't seem important. Then I watched it today and was so confused at how I was shedding a tear at the end of a video with a fart title!
Agree...I actually wish this video had a more serious title. It was...really really cool
I didn't get around to watching it for over a month because the title threw me, but I gave it a shot when I learned about the driving concept. I ended up loving the video!
I avoided it for months
I've been an Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and primary teacher for 29 years, using all types of curricula in both the United States and Japan, so I've observed a LOT of organic creativity across hundreds of amazing young imaginations. Rhett and Link's process in this project may be the closest I've ever seen adults come to the kind of wide open curiosity and creative risk-taking that I love so much in young children. All of us are capable of this kind of creativity, if only it were valued. Unfortunately, "adulthood" is interpreted too often as the time we must set aside imagination, creativity, and play in order to embrace somber 'have-to' responsibilities. I personally believe play has a place right along side 'adulting', and I applaud Rhett and Link for reminding us of this in such beautifully outrageous ways!
That's an amazing way to explain this
Such a wonderful experience to watch! You've explained the heart in it so beautifully. Thanks to Rhett & Link for their efforts and thank you for sharing with us
@@LardoFacchettiThe fault in this statement is that Rhett and Link got to a place of financial freedom by embracing their inner child creativity. They never lost it, and it lead them here. You create the reality you live in based on your perception of the world, it’s not defined for you although many like to believe it is.
@@LardoFacchettianyone can turn a fart into anything :) what will you turn your farts into?

@komalthecoolk omg what an *intellectual*
I love that emotional moment that happened after the dancer praised the artist at capturing what she felt was her inner energy. Once the artist started tearing up, it made me feel pretty emotional, too.
Actually teared up when the painter and the dancer were connecting over their art forms 😅 didn’t expect that from a video title with the word fart in it

I came to watch Rhett and Link 3D print farts and left having watched the most existential video that I needed to watch at this exact moment in my life. Rhett and link have something truly special. Sometimes the world needs bold creativity. “I think we’ve got it” that line HIT ME
This is the part that gave me goosebumps!! ❤️😭
Depending on how you read this, it's either the most elaborate fart joke ever made, or a pretty cool study on how creativity and inspiration work. I'm leaning towards the latter. Was I howling with laughter when the crew listened to the farts? Yes. But boy, was that a cool looking sculpture, and everything from there was just beautiful. 😂
Not mutually exclusive, that's why this video such a work of art! It's quintessential Rhett & Link

"we humans are not mere spectators

there is nothing more important, nor more relevant to those of us alive right now, than this message
in a world where we keep discovering just how small we are in the cosmic scale of the universe,
and where nihlism and hopelessness abound,
this message of hope is exactly what we need
I really love how open they are to every person’s form of art. It felt really open minded, there wasn’t any judgement, and it was a really cool sense of togetherness. I think the hardest part about creation is the fear of judgment. Having a space to create without fear like this is genuinely awesome to see and I love how everyone builds off of each person’s creativity!
not to mention the fact that nobody made fun of the fact that they were using their farts, it’s kind of incredible
this!! they didnt even criticize the interesting combination of ingredients, which is shocking from link ngl
That took a very beautiful turn from where it started. This video is the perfect representation of who Rhett and Link are as artists.
When I tell you I was ABSOLUTELY FLABBERGASTED when the piano melody came by, I am not exaggerating one bit. Such a beautiful piece (or should I say pieces) of art, every step of this creative process and this video as a whole experience. Thank you Rhett and Link for all of your amazing content that you're putting out there
i cannot stop watching brian play the song at the end, and rhett and link’s reactions. i feel so incredibly moved, i can’t even describe it. i was going to watch this bc i thought it would be silly, but it’s one of the most stunning explorations of art and human connection that i’ve ever seen. this is, quite frankly and without exaggeration, breathtaking. i am overwhelmed. i cried. i cringed at the farts (sorry!). this is fantastic. thank you for making it.
Witnessing a grown man cracking up at his own fart is healing to the soul.
To quote Rhett... "What in the world?!!!" I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I was inspired. How do two farty boys take utter silliness and turn it into something so wholesome?! True creative confidence. This was so wholesome and human and just really down to f*cking earth in the most bizarre way possible. How am I meant to have a regular Saturday now? Why was this so stellar? The ideas, the people, the execution of ideas. All of it was wonderful from start to finish. Who knew that the friendship between two people could be captured between all these different mediums?
The quick glance over to the camera after every one of Link's farts is HILARIOUS
This channel is really killing it. The look on your guys’ faces when the song started to sound the same was beautiful. This might be my favorite so far
I was looking for this comment!!!🎉 I felt that when the song morphed!
Whether the final outcome was partially staged or a genuine similarity it is insane how he pulled those chords out of that painting.
This is truly something incredibly special. When I started this video I never expected to cry, but here we are. This moved me so much, and it reminded me of how special humanity is. How beautiful creativity is. And why life is so precious and so damn special. Who knew a video titled “we 3D Printed Our Farts” could move me so much. They aren’t just the funny guys who eat weird foods… they are the guys who create magic and remind us why life is worth living, why its worth pushing forward, why its worth creating and making something new ❤
I started bawling my eyes out when the piano broke into that rhythmic pattern that was like the original song. Like....I did not expect this video to be so profound, but damn was it ever. As a music educator and general lover of the arts...I am blown away. This is one of the coolest things I have seen in a while...GAH!!! I may be processing my emotions about this for a while 😂
I'm right here with you on this one. More than just art or a creative journey, it felt like the sort of intangible threads that people call being able to connect in such a way as to share a frequency, a wavelength or radio signal..a thing we have yet to find the most apt term for that's just ever so slightly past our reach of scientific understanding. But it's there. And someday as a species we'll look back and wonder how we didn't see it all along.
We need go further invest in the double blind research of distant positive intent on water. Among other things I imagine.
Haha, right, farts can carry over the rhythmic patterns of the food that was eaten. You dope.

Guys I feel so grateful to be living on the same lifeline as you. Your videos really came in the moment where I needed them most. Friendship, creativity, love, fun, humanity. Thank you for your contribution to this world.
This was exactly what I needed to watch today. Such an amazing example of everything and everyone being interconnected. Beautiful.
there is so much i could say about this, because it was beautiful in every way, but one of my favourite things is the colour palette that remained consistent throughout this. rhett and link chose outfits that never left the turquoise/orange/yellow/white/grey realm, and they balanced each other perfectly. and the colours were reflected in the restaurant at the start, the colour of the food served to them, the colour of the sculpture itself, and the painting. i wish i knew whether this was planned or not, because if not, it's just one more layer of intense intuition that brings me nothing but delight.
there’s really nothing like watching an artist just… be an artist. and when working with other artist, there is no judgement of the unconventional, because it’s an expression of the heart. i really believe only another artist can understand such a feeling.
This has to be my favourite GMM project ever. One of those videos i feel like will echo throughout history. So funny, silly and filled with feeling.
Human creativity is such a beautiful thing. Its existence is so concrete and self-evident, but it’s also such an ethereal and almost… gossamer thing. It’s like it’s always right there, at every second, just on the other side of this thin glass. Sometimes you can see RIGHT through the glass and almost take a photo of it. Other times the glass is foggy or it seems thicker, maybe even textured and the image of the creativity behind it is skewed and distorted if not completely obscured.
Rhett and Link, you guys inspire me so much. Please never stop expressing your creativity. I’m so glad you’ve both found in each other someone who’s always willing to play and imagine with you. ❤
This is awesome. I love how Rhett and Link just decide they are going to go "somewhere" with their creative idea. You don't always need to know your goal to go on a journey. And the journey is the best part. So it's always awesome to take that kind of risk and see where it goes.
Aliya is so precious and kind. I never knew much about interpretive dance, but seeing her expression gave me so much respect for her art! Maybe the perceived silliness of the sculpture's origin made it even more impressive.
Definitely the best video to date. I enjoyed every second.. no slow moments, just fast paced humour and creativity!
We, as humans, truly are connected on a higher level than we understand. This video is proof of that, and I appreciate it so much. AMAZING!!

Every video starts out with such a simple premise and turns into a literal masterpiece. Well done.
It is insane how it was just curiosity that got me to this video but fascination with what you guys did with it made me want to stay. Art is interpretive. Its the most ambiguous thing there ever will be to exist because everyone thinks differently. And you guys have captured that so very well.
This is one of the most creative videos I've seen lately. I love it. It's very well done from start to finish.
This entire video in itself is a work of art from beginning to end. The most amazing parts were first..a 3D printed fart, interpretive dance and abstract art compelled two strangers to compliment one another on the highest level. The other part was the look of sheer astonishment on Rhett and Link's face when the original piece did in fact resemble their original song. The both looked like they were on the verge of tears.
Did that last bit really happen though, because that's insane.
@@HEEEERESxFREDDY definitely not
I actually love this because of the celebration of different art forms. How it was done was very Rhett and link. And like for the musicians to basically get the original song out of that painting was AMAZING. Like I wanted them to have him listen to the original concept.
That was pretty much the only part of the video that I didn't like because it's so obviously scripted. The rest of the process seemed genuine (although it also may not have been) and I would have preferred an honest musical interpretation of the painting instead of an orchestrated reprieve of the original.
