As silly as 3D printing a fart is, I have to say that this sort of "chain of creativity" project is exactly the sort of artistic collaboration I would love to be a fart of.
This is the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" of UA-cam videos. An incredibly important, humbling, sometimes scary idea about the human condition told through an entertaining and hilariously silly manner. 10/10
I was looking at the comments, and I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone mention that this is essentially an “infinity” video. They got the idea at the start of the video, from themselves at the end of the video. Once it ends, you can start it over and see it’s just one big circle. (Maybe that’s too obvious, so no one is talking about it…but it’s still surprising nonetheless)
I've been an Early Childhood, Kindergarten, and primary teacher for 29 years, using all types of curricula in both the United States and Japan, so I've observed a LOT of organic creativity across hundreds of amazing young imaginations. Rhett and Link's process in this project may be the closest I've ever seen adults come to the kind of wide open curiosity and creative risk-taking that I love so much in young children. All of us are capable of this kind of creativity, if only it were valued. Unfortunately, "adulthood" is interpreted too often as the time we must set aside imagination, creativity, and play in order to embrace somber 'have-to' responsibilities. I personally believe play has a place right along side 'adulting', and I applaud Rhett and Link for reminding us of this in such beautifully outrageous ways!
Such a wonderful experience to watch! You've explained the heart in it so beautifully. Thanks to Rhett & Link for their efforts and thank you for sharing with us
@@LardoFacchettiThe fault in this statement is that Rhett and Link got to a place of financial freedom by embracing their inner child creativity. They never lost it, and it lead them here. I think the hardest part about creation is the fear of judgment. Having a space to create without fear like this is genuinely awesome to see and I love how everyone builds off of each person’s creativity!
and how the song at the end retained that same sort of sound, I was absolutely blown away by how it sounded exactly how the food guy described, starting off in a deep dark place, only to be lifted up the base and explore each of the branches individually.
@@potatoman7594and how the very last part had a transposed melody of the original melody???? 🥺 but it had a romanticized reflective aura… as if it was like “we started with this melody but went through a journey”
This channel is really killing it. The look on your guys’ faces when the song started to sound the same was beautiful. This might be my favorite so far
I clicked on this video when it was titled “We 3D printed our farts”, when I ended the video it was “We 3D printed our farts: a journey through human creativity”, and then when I came to the comments it was titled “we ate a song”. What a wild ride
To quote Rhett... "What in the world?!!!" I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I was inspired. How do two farty boys take utter silliness and turn it into something so wholesome?! True creative confidence. This was so wholesome and human and just really down to f*cking earth in the most bizarre way possible. How am I meant to have a regular Saturday now? Love it, love you guys... teaching me alot about to make art xx
Can a UA-cam video win an Oscar? Because this is legitimately one of the weirdest and beautiful full circle pieces of art I’ve ever seen in this medium.
This is awesome. I love how Rhett and Link just decide they are going to go "somewhere" with their creative idea. You don't always need to know your goal to go on a journey. And the journey is the best part. So it's always awesome to take that kind of risk and see where it goes.
there’s really nothing like watching an artist just… be an artist. and when working with other artist, there is no judgement of the unconventional, because it’s an expression of the heart. i really believe only another artist can understand such a feeling.
"we humans are not mere spectators we fill the silence of the universe with a symphony and illuminate the darkness of space with the sparks of imagination" there is nothing more important, nor more relevant to those of us alive right now, than this message in a world where we keep discovering just how small we are in the cosmic scale of the universe, and where nihlism and hopelessness abound, this message of hope is exactly what we need
Aliya is so precious and kind. I never knew much about interpretive dance, but seeing her expression gave me so much respect for her art! Maybe the perceived silliness of the sculpture's origin made it even more impressive.
Goosebumps exploding all over at the end of this video. This was so amazing. I love this content guys, please know it’s worth millions of views and shares. Pure art, honestly.
I started bawling my eyes out when the piano broke into that rhythmic pattern that was like the original song. Like....I did not expect this video to be so profound, but damn was it ever. As a music educator and general lover of the arts...I am blown away. This is one of the coolest things I have seen in a while...GAH!!! I may be processing my emotions about this for a while 😂
I'm right here with you on this one. More than just art or a creative journey, it felt like the sort of intangible threads that people call being able to connect in such a way as to share a frequency, a wavelength or radio signal..a thing we have yet to find the most apt term for that's just ever so slightly past our reach of scientific understanding. But it's there. And someday as a species we'll look back and wonder how we didn't see it all along. We need go further invest in the double blind research of distant positive intent on water. Among other things I imagine.
I was expecting to cry from laughter at a video with 'farts' in the title, but I just legitimately cried. This was silly and beautiful and so on brand Rhett and Link. Well done ❤️
there is so much i could say about this, because it was beautiful in every way, but one of my favourite things is the colour palette that remained consistent throughout this. rhett and link chose outfits that never left the turquoise/orange/yellow/white/grey realm, and they balanced each other perfectly. and the colours were reflected in the restaurant at the start, the colour of the food served to them, the colour of the sculpture itself, and the painting. i wish i knew whether this was planned or not, because if not, it's just one more layer of intense intuition that brings me nothing but delight.
I am so happy y'all changed the title of this video because I can't believe I amost didn't watch it. That was profound, creative, and inspirational and I'm grateful that you guys are still manifesting things like this for all of us. Thank you.
They had briefly changed it to "We Ate a Song" which appealed to me far more than the original title, or the current title which adds detail@@jacobrshields
This is by far the best Non-GMM piece of material you guys have produced in years. It encompasses everything weird and amazing you have worked to showcase in your company's brand and I loved every second of it.
Why was this so stellar? The ideas, the people, the execution of ideas. All of it was wonderful from start to finish. Who knew that the friendship between two people could be captured between all these different mediums?
The way the final song echoed the hook of the original, only with the notes rising? Beautiful. The emotion on their faces was so genuine. How did a video with “farts” in the title end up being so profound and beautiful?
"we humans are not mere spectators, we fill the silence of the universe with a symphony, and illuminate the darkness of space with the sparks of imagination" -Rhett and Link 2023
Real talk, the "let's take an idea back home...I think we've got it...I think we've got it..." part made me emotional. It made me think of all the creative ideas I've neglected because I thought other things were more important. Thanks for inspiring me, Rhett and Link.
these new rhett and link vids are so crazy, kooky, and weird but always end so beautifully that it literally brings me to tears. i love these guys and their passion for music and creativity, so well done!
This is truly something incredibly special. When I started this video I never expected to cry, but here we are. This moved me so much, and it reminded me of how special humanity is. How beautiful creativity is. And why life is so precious and so damn special. Who knew a video titled “we 3D Printed Our Farts” could move me so much. Rhett and Link are one of a kind and they have defined my childhood and now my adult years, and I know they have done the same for so many others. They aren’t just the funny guys who eat weird foods… they are the guys who create magic and remind us why life is worth living, why its worth pushing forward, why its worth creating and making something new ❤
fellas, you make this 20-something feel safe to grow up. life is so full of uncertainty and change, but what you do and who you are gives me hope that i can cultivate a life as colorful and fun and growth-filled as you have. thank you for everything.
Honestly I just gotta say that this is the essence of what art is. You guys have put it in a visual form that I think is very inspiring and it makes me proud to be an artist, and a human.
That ending made me cry!! So much emotions were coming from the fart painting he played beautifully. Then your song at the end.... you guys sing fartin great!
And then when they were like "I was hoping it'd be the same song, but nah", second after the song did start sounding more similar to the original and I literally got goosebumbs and I felt something in my soul, like I was transported to the same space Rhett and Link were - I love your Rhett and Link videos!
This entire video in itself is a work of art from beginning to end. The most amazing parts were first..a 3D printed fart, interpretive dance and abstract art compelled two strangers to compliment one another on the highest level. The other part was the look of sheer astonishment on Rhett and Link's face when the original piece did in fact resemble their original song. The both looked like they were on the verge of tears.
The genius of Rhett, and Link on display. Been a fan for years. It would’ve been interesting to see this without knowing who these guys are at all. But that’s not the case and this was awesome.
As an artist (I do digital art) I can't tell you how much I loved this video. The way they explored the same idea through a bunch of different art forms was so creative and I love how supportive they were of everyone they interacted with. This video is just so cool to me.
When I tell you I was ABSOLUTELY FLABBERGASTED when the piano melody came by, I am not exaggerating one bit. Such a beautiful piece (or should I say pieces) of art, every step of this creative process and this video as a whole experience. Thank you Rhett and Link for all of your amazing content that you're putting out there
I actually love this because of the celebration of different art forms. How it was done was very Rhett and link. And like for the musicians to basically get the original song out of that painting was AMAZING. Like I wanted them to have him listen to the original concept.
That was pretty much the only part of the video that I didn't like because it's so obviously scripted. The rest of the process seemed genuine (although it also may not have been) and I would have preferred an honest musical interpretation of the painting instead of an orchestrated reprieve of the original.
I feel like this is the essence of Rhett and Link. They take something simple, mundane, and human, like a childhood memory, or in this case, a fart, and use creativity to create work after work of art. I love that they included other artists in the process this time. It was somehow ethereally beautiful. From a fart. I feel like it's been I've been watching you guys for a decade, and your well of creativity has never run dry or failed to inspire. Feels weird getting emotional over farts.
"When I hear Rhett's fart, I feel attacked, almost," had me in tears laughing. Like, I don't want to overlook the wonderful message that the video ultimately shows us, but that line was definitely my favorite part XD
Same! My partner looked at me like i was crazy, but i can't help it. It also reminded me of my dad who loved fart humor and would've died laughing watching this video if he hadn't died in October. I'm bawling. I watched it twice in a row.
I was not expecting when I started watching this video to be tearing up at the end, this video was just a beautiful expression of creativity and it made me so happy seeing everyone’s different forms of creativity and it being shared and appreciated throughout
I freaking LOVE this channel - as much I'm a mythical beast ( and won't stop being so), seeing the creative expression of R&L and being free to explore their ideas whilst collaborating with others like this hits my smile button. Keep exploring without filters fellas.
This was so incredibly silly , creative, and wonderful As an art teacher, I typically start the year with a writing/drawing game similar to “telephone” but this gave me a great idea to expand it beyond just the two medias . Bravo !!!
lmao, i was avoiding this fart video and they tricked me into clicking on it by changing the title and thumbnail from "3d print our farts" to "we ate a song".
i cannot stop watching brian play the song at the end, and rhett and link’s reactions. i feel so incredibly moved, i can’t even describe it. i was going to watch this bc i thought it would be silly, but it’s one of the most stunning explorations of art and human connection that i’ve ever seen. this is, quite frankly and without exaggeration, breathtaking. i am overwhelmed. i cried. i cringed at the farts (sorry!). this is fantastic. thank you for making it.
I am overwhelmed with excitement to take this artistic concept and bring it to my elementary students! We have multiple "outclasses/electives" at our campus and I think we can do this concept utilizing all of them for a fine arts night! Thank you for this work of art and the inspiration to not only me but I'm sure many others. Such a cool cool video guys!
I love them so much! Not only is this a funny idea, they actually employed many artists, gave them more exposure, and explored and appreciated many forms of art all while it still being lighthearted and funny! No way AI could make something even close to any of these pieces of art! 🤣
Is it just me...or is this channel getting better then GMM? I love GMM but, damn... the freedom to explore yourselves as creators on R&L is fascinating... and I'm here for it. LOVE THESE GUYS!
ART!!!!! Real art. This has to be one of the best. if not the best, videos I've ever seen. and how the song at the end retained that same sort of sound, I was absolutely blown away by how it sounded exactly how the food guy described, starting off in a deep dark place, only to be lifted up the base and explore each of the branches individually.

I was looking for this comment!!!🎉 I felt that when the song morphed!
I clicked on this video when it was titled “We 3D printed our farts”, when I ended the video it was “We 3D printed our farts: a journey through human creativity”, and then when I came to the comments it was titled “we ate a song”. What a wild ride
The connection between the dancer and painter was amazing. Posty note was hilarious. This is what youtube is for! So glad yall are making videos
This was so incredibly creative. What a good Saturday
I couldn’t agree more! ❤
I love that "wind" came through into the dance and Colby felt that and incorporated it into her piece.
Can a UA-cam video win an Oscar? Because this is legitimately one of the weirdest and beautiful full circle pieces of art I’ve ever seen in this medium.
This is funny because “fart haha” but it’s also a genuine exploration of human creativity and I love that.
🙄
Lol it’s all scripted

Honestly, the Rhett and Link channel comeback has been the best part of my summer ❤
"we humans are not mere spectators
we fill the silence of the universe with a symphony
and illuminate the darkness of space with the sparks of imagination"
there is nothing more important, nor more relevant to those of us alive right now, than this message
in a world where we keep discovering just how small we are in the cosmic scale of the universe,
and where nihlism and hopelessness abound,
this message of hope is exactly what we need
Unironically one of the most beautiful and creative things I’ve ever seen and will ever see. Truly masterminds of entertainment and production.
Haha, right, farts can carry over the rhythmic patterns of the food that was eaten. You dope.
The joke went right over the heads of these two.
Y’all know this isn’t a documentary, right? 😂
@@xoRaQxoright there with you
I was expecting to cry from laughter at a video with 'farts' in the title, but I just legitimately cried. This was silly and beautiful and so on brand Rhett and Link. Well done ❤️
20:28 can't help it but all I see here is the fart travelling through a digestive tract and finally getting out
anyway, brilliant video
there is so much i could say about this, because it was beautiful in every way, but one of my favourite things is the colour palette that remained consistent throughout this. rhett and link chose outfits that never left the turquoise/orange/yellow/white/grey realm, and they balanced each other perfectly. and the colours were reflected in the restaurant at the start, the colour of the food served to them, the colour of the sculpture itself, and the painting. i wish i knew whether this was planned or not, because if not, it's just one more layer of intense intuition that brings me nothing but delight.
The quick glance over to the camera after every one of Link's farts is HILARIOUS
I am so happy y'all changed the title of this video because I can't believe I amost didn't watch it. That was profound, creative, and inspirational and I'm grateful that you guys are still manifesting things like this for all of us. Thank you.
What was the original title?
They had briefly changed it to "We Ate a Song" which appealed to me far more than the original title, or the current title which adds detail@@jacobrshields
I swear only they would come up with the most complicated but simple topic 😂
This is by far the best Non-GMM piece of material you guys have produced in years. It encompasses everything weird and amazing you have worked to showcase in your company's brand and I loved every second of it.
Why was this so stellar? The ideas, the people, the execution of ideas. All of it was wonderful from start to finish. Who knew that the friendship between two people could be captured between all these different mediums?
Witnessing a grown man cracking up at his own fart is healing to the soul.
The way the final song echoed the hook of the original, only with the notes rising? Beautiful. The emotion on their faces was so genuine. How did a video with “farts” in the title end up being so profound and beautiful?
the pure look of wonder on Rhett and Link's faces was so amazing 🥺

Its true. Literally. ✨
I’m glad you wrote this down, because dang. What an amazing quote.
Such an amazing quote, I needed to hear that 🥹
Let’s take an idea back home~
Real talk, the "let's take an idea back home...I think we've got it...I think we've got it..." part made me emotional. It made me think of all the creative ideas I've neglected because I thought other things were more important. Thanks for inspiring me, Rhett and Link.
Theraputic creativity is amazing..Just do it.
Yes this! I teared up! 😭
Those feelings will stew and turn into even more powerful works of art 💜
rhetts farts were the most dad farts ever goddamn😭😭😭
these new rhett and link vids are so crazy, kooky, and weird but always end so beautifully that it literally brings me to tears. i love these guys and their passion for music and creativity, so well done!
Every video starts out with such a simple premise and turns into a literal masterpiece. Well done.
They aren’t just the funny guys who eat weird foods… they are the guys who create magic and remind us why life is worth living, why its worth pushing forward, why its worth creating and making something new ❤
Dang, Rhett has audiophile level farts. They need to be sampled and made public for the betterment of humanity
I'd love to hear Rhett's farts in a random movie or TV show and know that they're his. That may be the weirdest sentence I ever wrote.
they’re such classics. like yeah THAT is a fart
the beans is the secret
This is one of the most Mythical things Rhett, Link, and team have ever created.
fellas, you make this 20-something feel safe to grow up. life is so full of uncertainty and change, but what you do and who you are gives me hope that i can cultivate a life as colorful and fun and growth-filled as you have. thank you for everything.
Honestly I just gotta say that this is the essence of what art is. You guys have put it in a visual form that I think is very inspiring and it makes me proud to be an artist, and a human.
Links head turn towards the camera after every fart was pristine.
Omg
'i did it!'
that did me in so bad I had to pause to giggle
@@fringeofmadnesslmao it was more like "it wasn't me- wait this is actually what I'm supposed to be doing for work" omfg
Did that last bit really happen though, because that's insane.

@Caipiranha89 100% agree
Love how Post Malone is canon in the mythical universe
Whether the final outcome was partially staged or a genuine similarity it is insane how he pulled those chords out of that painting.
It's hard to sound authentic but genuinely one of the most amazing completion of an idea I have seen.
how did THIS video make me cry...
"When I hear Rhett's fart, I feel attacked, almost," had me in tears laughing. Like, I don't want to overlook the wonderful message that the video ultimately shows us, but that line was definitely my favorite part XD
For those who want to see compare the two songs directly. Truly magical.
Original song 2:25
Final song 19:47
The full original song is at 3:15
Yes, the premise is incredibly goofy, but this is such an incredibly well done exploration of the artistic process. Never change Rhett & Link.
The way Link looks up in shock every time he farts like a dog sent me to the moon 🤣🤣
They were old man farts!!!
I started crying when the musician was creating the final song. This is magic guys.. idk what cord this struck in me but the tears won’t stop.
Same! My partner looked at me like i was crazy, but i can't help it. It also reminded me of my dad who loved fart humor and would've died laughing watching this video if he hadn't died in October. I'm bawling. I watched it twice in a row.
@@lynnw9819why did you have to add “if he didn’t die in October” 😭
@@ShadowSentry211show some respect...
It looked as if Link was going to cry during the piano solo. The looks on both your faces was priceless. 😮😮
I think just being a Rhett and Link fan makes you a mythical beast. Doesn’t matter what channel it is!
This has to be my favourite GMM project ever. One of those videos i feel like will echo throughout history. So funny, silly and filled with feeling.
That painter and dancer really hit that design on point. Amazingly close to what that statue looked like. Impressive and very amazing.
This whole thing is scripted 😂
@@TheKingOfBeans Do you have some sort of evidence of this claim? You are basically calling R&L liars. For that I need a citation.
@@TheKingOfBeansI'm sorry...but how do you script a dance?
@@CosmicG-SpotI don’t think R&L faked it, but a scripted dance is just choreography lol
Pianoman didn't do bad either, but they prob should've picked an instrument with more intensity to work off of the painting
This was so incredibly silly , creative, and wonderful
As an art teacher, I typically start the year with a writing/drawing game similar to “telephone” but this gave me a great idea to expand it beyond just the two medias . Bravo !!!
My son's Pre-K teacher did a series where they listened to different types of music and painted what they felt. I loved the outcome!
lmao, i was avoiding this fart video and they tricked me into clicking on it by changing the title and thumbnail from "3d print our farts" to "we ate a song".
i cannot stop watching brian play the song at the end, and rhett and link’s reactions. i feel so incredibly moved, i can’t even describe it. i was going to watch this bc i thought it would be silly, but it’s one of the most stunning explorations of art and human connection that i’ve ever seen. this is, quite frankly and without exaggeration, breathtaking. i am overwhelmed. i cried. i cringed at the farts (sorry!). this is fantastic. thank you for making it.
I was just saying how the inspirations of one artist can create and change the idea even meaning completely!!!! I love how this came to be, the piano part actually brought a tear to my eye. An effin fart song. I love you guys.
