This reminds me of some of the extra interludes we would have had if Björk's intentions weren't sidelined by the pandemic; she initially talked about the possibility of reissuing "Utopia" w/ additional instrumentation, and also a live album. I'm hoping we see a live release of some kind for the "Fossora" era & maybe a few "Utopia" tracks get included.
She actually said Cornucopia was meant to be a concert supporting Utopia and Fossora. So I hope with the next shows ahead she records Cornucopia Live and releases it.
@@yspinkblue7787 Yea, I noticed she mentioned that recently. I wanted to attend a specific date in California, but of course the world had other plans. I think it's safe to assume some live component will be released in the near future. "Medúlla" didn't get a live version, but there wasn't really a tour for that. But this is one of her more elaborate stage shows, so I'm looking forward to that.
this could’ve worked well as a moment before Utopia comes on.. but might’ve been too much flute right away. I think the final ending of The Gate makes sense because the vocals almost imitate the opening of Utopia; and there’s a clear showing of the voice creating the flute melodies which make the overall world of Utopia itself.
I don't think it's bad at all that this is primarily meant to be heard only by those who can afford a record player. I rather think that I should pay more attention at bjork's singles. Usually I think, I'll wait for the album - but now I see it has more than just the same song on it, it's there for purely artistic legitimacy.
Hey, I edited this picture for this upload; the original is from a series by Tim Walker for W-Magazine in 2017... all the pictures are to find here: www.bjork.fr/Tim-Walker-W-Magazine
I’m not sure tbh. Paradisia serves as a very festive marker on the album and indicates that a new state of happiness was finally reached.. but because Paradisia is so triumphant and carnival-like, it shows any contrasting moments that appear at the end of the album. I think if this replaced Paradisia it would change the context of the concluding tracks.

Utopia is perfect without this thing
