- In this video we take you along for 2 days of laning through The Lakes and Pennines with a wild camp on the Old Coach Road just outside of Keswick in The Lake District. This gave us chance to get the roof tents out for the first time this year.
In our opinion there is nothing better than setting up camp, cooking up some grub and sitting round the campfire with like minded people.
In the morning we also did a quick litter pick round the area, we always do this and if you're wild camping you should too. If we don't look after these spaces we will lose them.
On this trip the convoy consisted of; Greg and Michael in their Discovery 1's, Josh in his Discovery , Graham in his Discovery 2 named Dora, Chris in is Defender 90 and Connor in his Blue Discovery 2.

Both are brilliant vehicles, the discovery in my opinion is a better family bus and comfier.
The defenders have become very expensive of late too.
The blue Discovery in this video is mine, I'm not running massive tyres or lift, it drives on the road very well and is still very capable off road.

The first lane with the vr is now pretty OK to drive, but vr is on to start at the other end

These big videos where grate but took a lot of time to do, unfortunately the lad who did them decided he wonted to do his own thing than with the group.
Me personally I don’t have that time to do it to that Quality 😞 nor the money
The idea of the group the channel anyway was more to document what we do rather than a show as he wonted
The more reason videos show what will be more the thing to come in the future.
Regarding you you getting out.
Where in the uk 🇬🇧 are you located and would you be interested in our group you have to go though a bit of trialing to see if you like it and get along with everyone but gets you in a group and gets you out

how badly do the big tyres affect mpg on long motorway runs
Not sure how much MPG sorry but I know they would alway need fuel b4 I did in the disco 1 with 31s on
Usually needing fuel when the 90 did when I was still on half a tank lol 😂
