Hi Olga! Today I was finishing tbe scarf only I was made the row1 and row 2 in only one used foundation doble crochet and 6 repeated the design to made more wide and the finishing in the side add one row of dc. 5 row of red and tessel with chain's in big lups .😍💗

Yes, absolutely, the finished look might be different though. Mercerized cotton is quite stiff, and if you use something softer, your lacy fabric will have a different drape and look.
