Hi Blackbriar, congratulations with a fantastic song. Another great reaction to 4 of your songs by Songs and Thongs available to check out @ ua-cam.com/video/_5UuURH24zQ/v-deo.html. Love you guys!
The video is based on an old ritual called Sin Eating, where a piece of bread is placed on the chest of the deceased to “absorb” their sins, and it is then eaten.
@@TauriReacts I don't think you were off, Blackbriar have used this old ritual as a starting point to process all the thoughts and emotions you have mentioned in your reaction. This song has multiple layers.
"Haunting" is the adjective that best describes Zora's voice. Not only here in this song, but in most (if not all) of them. Masterful singing, truly. Listen to those ghostly notes there... chillingly beautiful! 🖤
I agree! Her voice is hauntingly beautiful! I discovered the band while writing a story on banshees and she has always given me banshee vibes (to me I consider a banshee Fae)
I love how this was way more than a reaction, you've shared some really deep thoughts. Thank you so much. You will break when you lose someone so close to you. But there's an invincible part deep inside yourself, you can grow back from there. Knowing that the time with our loved ones is limited just makes me appreciate every day with them more.
Great reaction! I love how you capture what makes Blackbriar great. The darkness and the emotion. So good. For me lyrically the song is about loving someone so much we are willing take on their "sins" because if they pass we will be dead inside anyway and asking who will take on my sins when I pass. But it also could be a metaphor for being in a relationship other people don't approve of, i.e. you end up taking on the sins of the person you are with and not having the support of friends and family. You know the art is good if it can be interpreted in multiple ways. Watching the premiere I got the impression from the chat that the people in the church were fans from their patreon.
Hey Tauri. I just KNEW you would enjoy this one after the introductions you had in the live streams. Glad I could introduce you to a great band. 💜 So true what you say about loss, that's for sure.
Excellent reaction! Blackbriar are so beautiful and haunting. I would love move Blackbriar of course. If you haven't seen "Mortal Remains" that is a good one to follow this song. Also if you get a chance consider checking out Dan Vasc- Amazing Grace.
Yesss. My country must be proud on them, so talented although still very unknown. My first song was 'Selkie' and my favorites 'Deadly Diminuendo' and 'Weakness and Lust'
We love this so much
Thank you so much for watching, I hope to one day get to see you guys live! 🥰💜

The epitome of gothic music. Dark and emotive lyrics delivered by Zora's haunting voice. The band is phenomenal behind her.

Yes! 😅 I read that after I'd done my reaction, I was completely off.. but hey, that's the beauty of music, we can all interpret it in different ways.

@@DeepeningTheListening yes I agree it was probably allegorical.
I'm glad to see this band is getting some traction!

Haunting and beautiful vocals, Zora got such a unique voice. The video was also done so well, underlining the lyrics. Enjoyed your reaction 😀
