Charlie, you wont believe how this helped me and probably many other people, i once tried learning blind, but gave up because i have a attention span of a senile earthworm, you made things so interesting, and now im getting back in learning blind, thanks!
I was waiting for this. You explained everything very well (loved the analogy with the car) and it was easy to understand. Thanks a lot, I have no more excuse to put off learning blind.
Awesome tutorial! I've always wanted to learn how to learn blind, but never had the drive to do it. Seeing this tutorial explained so well with such high quality has definitely gotten me started: can't wait to see the next video!
I forgot all about 3blind until i saw this video pop up, and then it made me want to try and learn it. i already knew how to do it from jperm, but seeing this video made me really want to attempt it, so i gave it a bunch of goes. And 20 minutes ago prior to writing this, i just got my first successful blindsolve!!! it took me like 15 minutes, but it was so worth it! thanks so much, charlie!
This is what I was waiting for! Before these videos I tried learning blind a LOT of times with a LOT of different tutorials, and this is the best one by far! Thank you so much for making this Charlie!
Very solid tutorial, been needing to learn bld and this tutorial so far is making everything so easy. I've watched other tutorials, but the biggest thing that sets this apart is the practice scrambles which make a huge difference. With that said this is absolutely the best blind tutorial out there on youtube.
This weekend I achieve my first 3x3 Blind successes only because of the quality of instruction in this sequence of videos, and I’m a “cubing dad” who takes an extremely uncompetitive 43 seconds to solve it when I CAN see. It is my opinion that Charlie is a better instructor than any professor I had at Cornell undergrad or Columbia Business School.
This is the best tutorial ive seen on UA-cam! Its everything you would eantt, examples , srambles to follow on with the creator! Immense tutorial, Keep it up charlie!
Hey charlie. I just had to watch your finger break video before worlds because I just broke my finger and it gave me a random bit of motivation to practice one handed. Before I broke my finger i averaged 1 min 15 and now i average around 35 seconds and im soooo proud. Thanks for posting such motivating videos while spreading gods word and his love for everybody even if they dont love him yet.
Tried watching J perms tutorial but he goes way too fast. This is the first tutorial I can actually follow. Appreciate that you take the time to fully explain everything and provide examples, rather than cramming everything into a 10-minute video so that it looks more appealing to people with short attention spans. You're an awesome teacher mate
Wow, I couldn't understand other tutorials (i got skill issues lol) but you made it easy to understand. Thank you for adding examples for us to practise, it made learning a lot quicker :)
Criminally underrated I did not expect this level of quality and editing and the simple yet extreamly effective style of teaching form a 10k sub channel bro you deserve atleast a million subs
This is so useful and easy to understand, Thank you so much. I have been trying to learn how to solve a cube blindfolded for such a long time and gave up a lot even in 2x2 blindfolded, I also didn't understand what a buffer is until I saw this video. That's a very creative way to explain it using the car seats.
You did an amazing job making this tutorial. I love it. To be fair first I just wanted to watch so I can make a short about blind but the way you explained it makes me motivated to learn solving blindfoled. At first sign this video might look a bit too long, but it really gives you time to think and makes us more connected, like you aren't just reading a script. When you were talking about the letters you actually pointed to them. It might seem like a small detail but for me this is a huge difference. I also like it that you put some exercises in the video. In my cubing career I only watched like 2 tutorials about blindfolded and neither of them had this implemented. Practice makes perfect. I am looking forwards to watching the other parts!
I've been looking forward to learning 3x3 bld and learning it from someone as charming and knowledgeable as Charlie is truly amazing. Thanks man appreciate it! (btw how many parts are there?)
No you smashed it! Best educational cubing video of the year 2024 so far 🙂👍. I will follow along and see if I can get it if my memory can handle it 😅. Just one question, can you purchase cube stickers with the letters on them so that you can put on a regular 3x3? This would be useful for the initial learning. If so do Dailypuzzles have them, if not maybe it could be suggested to them. Great video, looking forward to the future parts 👍 Edited: I just realize stickers wouldn't work in this scenario going from a solved to scrambled cube 🙃🙂
This is a really good Tutorial, Thanks for making this series I cannot wait for the next part. I have no clue how you keep all this in your head during a solve. Even if by the end of this I cant retain the memo I will atleast know how you bull it off with a blindfold
Hi Charlie. At around 16:40 , how do you distinguish that it is Q and not A, and the same with other pieces as well such as at 17:03, how come it is U and not K
Wow I am soooo impressed no way I can remember all of that so fast like the videos I’ve see u do. It’s so amazing. I just know it’s impossible for me not to matter how much I practice my memory just don’t support this and it’s depressing.
I've been watching soooooo many videos I never understood what they were saying the second I see Charlie eggins I was like I have to watch it and I understood the video thanks so much!
Hey Charlie. How do you know which orientation the edge / corner is. For example, during tracing, how do you know if the edge would be D or E? And how would you know if the corner for example is K, V or P?
@@greenisnice123 I figured it out you have to only pay attention to the side facing up. Then as you keep going you only use the letter for the side you used if that makes sense
Hey Charlie! Amazing video! ive made it really far, loving your analogy with the car, but i do have one question, when you did the scramble and started memo demonstrating, for example, i got N Q down, so NyQuil, but then comes U, which is on the yellow side, how do I know if i assign a letter the one side or the other? since the edge has 2 colors, same thing for corners!
@@TheCubicWizard if it is the green sticker, then it would go to the green side. Or if you hit the yellow sticker, then it would be the yellow side. Hope this helps
@@TheCubicWizard sorry, this was just an example for if it was the green and yellow edge, but the point still stands, if you hit a red sticker, then it will be the red side that you memorise
@@swiftcubingbut how do you hit 1 sticker? theres 2 stickers per edge? heres an exampe that happened to me; imagine 1 edge piece, corners solved and theres a white red edge piece that i need to solve, which letter do i hit? red? which would be M, or white? which would be B.
