I have a 22 ORP and don't have any rattles. Don't understand the complaint on the backup camera. It's function is to show you what is behind you, a car, a kid on a bike, your garbage can, etc. Do you expect HD 4k quality ? It's not your big screen OLED TV for crying out loud !!! SMH 😂
I have a 2023 ORP and yup, it does rattle so loudly.
Yeah I've been in other 4runners that were quieter, and some that had the same issues I've had. Not sure the difference. On the camera, not expecting 4k, just know that even within the Toyota lineup, in that same year, there were some much better cameras being used. Overall though, I love my 4runner, let's me do everything I need to. Thanks for watching!
I also own a 2022 Off Road. I bought brand new have zero rattles no issue with the backup camera
I am not sure if you been in any other modern cars but the camera in a 4Runner is trash, especially at night with the washout of either the license plate lights or the backup lights. Every modern car built has a better camera and I have driven and owned plenty of cars - the man has a point
I agree with you I even put a quarter on the ground and you could see it fine all the talk about camara quality is nothing but nit picking. You are correct it’s not for watching movies it’s for hazards and it is more than adaquate.
Haven’t had any issues with hood scoop, not sure if it has to do with the color I have the new underground, and also not rattling at all.

I guess I am a lot easer to please as I am in a 2022 TRD Pro and all your complaint’s don’t bother Me. I have had Zero Mechanical issues so I am happy. Only thing I wish is Toyota should have upgraded transmission just to a 6 speed for better MPG. The Gas MPG is not a big issue to Me as for the last 35 years I drove 1/2 ton trucks and the 4Runner gets better MPG than any truck I have had. Just FYI I travel and for a living and have about 50 days in rental cars of all kinds and just makes me like my 4Runner more.
I think I did a poor job of saying how much I enjoy the 4runner. Just noted some oddities after 3 years of owning one. Thanks for watching!

We just bought a 24 Limited & it Definitely does have a few Funky design Quirks, but we are coming off a 06 Tundra Limited that we have had since 07 & LOVE IT !!! We are hoping for the Same Ownership Love Affair with this Yo as well and the Many miles of Smiles we plan on getting over the years. Thanks for the Great video 😉

I have 21 SR5 and was thinking of lifting but the wife has hard time getting in and I figured it would be worse on gas mileage and it eats gas already so I’m staying stock height and will just keep doing other mods…
Yeah lifting does make it a bit difficult to get in. I put on some rock sliders as well and that helps with getting in/out.
The only complaint Im with you on is the dang hood-scoop. I have a dark metallic color and even my hood scoop has blinded me. Glad I’m not the only one that has experienced that.

@@ejdoeseverything I have a Solar octane 4Runner and I was blinded once from the hood, that is a real thing for sure.
I still say this is something I would complain about is there is no auto lights, no remote start only if you have a limited or pro. I have off road premium btw and the head lights could be way better! Other then that this truck is sexy

about that hood scoop... I rented a 4runner from Budget last year. It was in silver and I got blinded by the sun!(not sure if it was worse than a white 4Runner) :)

If its a 2021 and up 4runner they might blow your fuses.

What about the potential of rust on the frame I read a lot about? Making it essential to seal and undercoat the frame every year or so. That could be costly maintenance annoyance.
Have the undercoating done properly and it'll be fine.
I've got a '98 Limited and it's rust free underneath ... including both the front & rear bumpers. ( Just for the record, I live in Ohio. )
@@danielfair4675 I live in Columbus and I used Amsoil on my Tacoma frame and in 9 winters I had no rust.
I live in Maine and the stuff we spray on the roads eats metal. I can't speak specifically for untreated 4runners as I get fluid film every year on all my cars. It isn't cheap, but it can double the life span up here in the north.
@@ejdoeseverything When new, use cavity wax in all frame parts and Amsoil HD MP on all surfaces. It's inexpensive and needs applied every 3 years. It will not rust, even in Maine or Vermont (my sister lives there) or Ohio where brine is the soup of the day 5 months a year.
You lifted it and are surprised that it dropped your mileage? I had to laugh at that one...sorry...just had to poke fun, all in good intention. The one gripe I have on my 2024 is the sunvisors not telescoping out like they did way back in the early 2000s. That little pull out tab is weak.
No worries, i wasn't shocked at all and as I said in the video, not a huge deal for me. But, I know it can be a sticking point for most people. Nice choice on the 24', last year before the design change! What do you think of that new version?
@@ejdoeseverything not a fan of the gen 6. Looks like a tacoma with a station wagon back. The way the Tacoma is going is how I imagine the 6th gen will go. It will be several years of teething pain before it will be Toyota level reliability. Just too tech heavy for me.

What kind of idiot would put the trailer wiring plug in there. That's just brutal. You made my mind up. I won't be buying one. Will purchase something that has some thought put into it and so over priced used.
Just purchased a 24 TRD ORP…I love it but it isn’t perfect…..speaker quality / infotainment resolution …..are no bueno
