Another enjoyable video Di. You’ve chosen some lovely fabrics - lucky for me I live in Canada and the postage is so expensive that I’m not tempted to purchase from the many wonderful UK fabric shops. So I can live vicariously through fabric hauls 😊. I have to admit though I’ve got a few pieces in my stash that my mother gifted me and are at least 25 years old - looking forward to your next vlog.

You are a fabric collector. Some people collect stamps or autographs or ceramics and nobody thinks it is odd. I think the dress you propose to make with the second of your fabrics collected from Pound Fabrics will look really beautiful on you. I am a fabric collector too and, though I am not in the same league as Rachel, I have some fabrics that would probably count as vintage nowadays. It is a good job that you did not say where and when the market is as I would probably be there like a shot. I can't bring myself to shop on line for fabric as I cannot feel it or see what the colour is really like so I am always looking for places where I can do this.

Online fabric shopping is very convenient for me being a mum but it is pot luck really 😅 which is also why I don't spend as much as I used to online.
I loved all the fabric you purchased, but my favorite is the yellow gingham, it will make a beautiful dress🙌🏻🙌🏻. It is not easy to not buy fabric, but I am trying my best to control myself and Sew from my Stash. I use a Trello account to keep all my fabrics and patterns. Happy sewing 🧵 🪡👗🧵🪡👗. Karen

Another lovely vlog, your enthusiasm shines through. I know what you mean about the emails, I've unsubscribed from lots as a deterrent. My stash is big enough and I need to reduce it before buying (but I do still treat myself sometimes!)

I agree with buying more fabric for tall people. I'm almost as tall as you, and I hear dome people saying they made a little gathered dress from less than 2 metres. How!?! I almost always need at least 3 metres to make a basic straight cut dress or jumpsuit. If I want gathering or wide sleeves, etc. I need at least 4 metres. So I like getting 5 metres as well.
Fabric haul videos are fun to watch but then I look through my stash and realize I don’t need anything new. I say this as I JUST purchased 4 yards of fabric for a coord set for spring… 😂😂😂
