The dwarves despite having no backstory to them, you can certainly tell a lot about them by their choice of weapons. Scout is focus on light vintage weapons and Hunter like gear. Engie looking like he makes his own weapons. Gunner only accepting top of the line military weapons. And driller with this weapon is literally willing to take anything to kill bugs. Even breaking all laws of the Geneva convention in order to do it. Like it does make me think Driller is crazier and will do all the war crimes to get the job done.
gamma contamination with 2 2 1 2 1 is really good with sludge pump, it reduces their movement to cripple speed and applies 3 dot effects, also exothermic reactor with temperature amplifier can get some crazy chain reactions
0:07 oooooor Driller allows HR and R&D go go full mental by making all illegal weapons and give it to driller(it allows easier and faster resource extraction)
I love using the tier 5 neurotoxin mod with the radiation overclock + the sludge pump to give any enemy every single possible debuff known to man. Radiation, Neurotoxin, Corrosion, Sludge puddle slowdown, and wave cooker tier 2 slowdown.
This is perfect timing, I JUST got the Gamma overclock and I’m loving it so far. I found it’s best mixed with the flamethrower and the upgrade that causes temp shock, this helps with the damage reduction a ton.
Easily my favorite secondary in the game. My favorite thing to run with this thing is the CRSPR. If you set any enemy fully on fire, the wave cooker can be used to massively chunk its health with a follow-up. So good!
What I found super relaxing in this game is whatever weapon build /load out you build its fun to use however the more fun it is to use the more it demands via reloading, ammo capacity, heat management or damage to allies
Take shot width on gamma contamination. Trust me. It’s been tested in the sandbox vs swarms of grunts, and it actually clears more swarms of 20x grunts than taking the extra ammo. It rolls for the DoT per bug hit, not per ammo spent.
I usually run Gamma Contamination with the Sludge Pump main weapon to have the most DoT possible. Shoot a bug with one weapon, switch, shoot it with the other and forget it ever existed.
I like running Gamma Contamination an extra corrosive Disperser Compound build. Anything that gets near my Driller either melts or dies from radiation.
Great vid! I'm fairly new to the game, so I'm still wrapping my head around all of this, and your content has helped IMMENSLY. Would it be possible to explain or showcase the different weapon perks? Some of the descriptions aren't very useful in decifering what they do or how to use them.
due to the AOE nature of the wave cooker, it is best to run both unstable overclocks with widest lenses. the reason is that the percentage of status effect activation is not a single number that is applied to the horde as a collective unit, but to each individual within the horde, so more members within the beam means more status effects at the same time. furthermore, in the case of blistering necrosis, you want to have a wider beam for not only better horde coverage, but also better area covered on bigger bosses. blisters form on the legs, and body of the boss. since one of the powers of blistering necrosis is separate weakpoint, it is best served when more blisters are covered by the wave cooker beam. each blister grants an additional 1.5x dmg (each) to the wave cooker, with an additional 80 dmg from popping the blister.
This video only highlights how to use the wave cooker by itself. Where the wave cooker really shines is the weapon combos which this video painfully never mentioned. LazyMaybe made a video doing the exact same video layout, but actually addressing the pros of the wave cooker being used correctl- I mean with weapon combos.
The Gamma Contamination is so good with the Hydrogen Ion Additive on sludge. Just kit it to synergise with sludge with and you can put out 3 DoT effects plus 4 slowdowns.
crio with icicle and penetration cooker, can kill all: swarm-freezing one and shoot with cooker, big boy- icicle inflict 300-400dmg(not remember) per shot, its one shot warden on the ceiling where u cant freezing him
I love the wave cooker so much the only issue is how good the EPC is with it being able to do AOE, incredible dmg, AND it can mine minerals. It's just so disgustingly good I cant justify not taking it.
The travel time takes alot of getting used to, you can't dmg enemies through armor unless you have the mod that specifically increases the AoE, thin containment field timing also needs alot of getting used to or else you can't get it off reliably.
If not using the sludge pump, because this thing melts through the armor and slows the Oppressor down, so that it will never reach you to be a threat. Love it
Does anyone know what happens when you press the reload button on this weapon? I mean, I know that it enters a different configuration but I can't distinguish how it helps or differs from the normal one.
Look, i really wish this gun was broken after getting bored of epc but this weapon is not op... It's great at low hazards and niche at higher ones like when bunking, this weapon can help the dot of sticky fuel and sludge pump to melt multiple oppressors in a tunnel since you can damage through heavy armor But i really wish that gun had a little more damage and ammo, it would make some overclocks usable other than mega power supply at haz 5 It's true that has a big potential until haz5 but the base gun requires some buffs to damage/ammo so that it can still deal with macteras without combos and without fully building for damage
Okay, miner...we appreciate your talents, and the results you almost guarentee when you are assigned to a task...but HR has received a mountin of complaints from your grappling hook college...

Driller is using the company break room microwave on a stick to kill bugs.
As a Driller main I have to point out the Geneva convention applies to wars, not civilian mining operations.
@AeciusthePhilosopher As a fellow driller main, I need to tell the Geneva convention states it applies to humans and humans only.
That would be the Hoaxxes convention.
Obviously different rules.
@@Jarate_gaming Well there is our first mistake right there. These aren't even humans. They are dwarves.
gamma contamination with 2 2 1 2 1

Driller recreating the Chernobyl disaster just to kill one loot bug

I like to pair it with the Sludge Pump for those 4 status effects. Drilling In The Name Of did a video featuring that build
Easily my favorite secondary in the game. My favorite thing to run with this thing is the CRSPR. If you set any enemy fully on fire, the wave cooker can be used to massively chunk its health with a follow-up. So good!
The second i hear an oppressor catch i start rapid firing blistering necrosis and it just pops. Zero regard for armor.
I'm a fan of temp shock. Pairing it with sticky flames can be very funny
I was expecting some build examples and reasons to why that specific overclock is the right one for a specific build.
I love using the Cooker with the sludge pump to maximize status effects. goo, neurotoxin, radiation.
What I found super relaxing in this game is whatever weapon build /load out you build its fun to use however the more fun it is to use the more it demands via reloading, ammo capacity, heat management or damage to allies
there is literally no driller weapon that does not inspire war crime associated behaviours
Subata, HE grenades
love this series!

I suggest using the blowthrough overclock with the sludge pump or with a temp shock build.
I love the wave cooker so much the only issue is how good the EPC is with it being able to do AOE, incredible dmg, AND it can mine minerals. It's just so disgustingly good I cant justify not taking it.

Yeah even though the wave cooker can be weird I think that’s why it’s so cool
with blistering necrosis i learned you can have the sludge pump hit the same enemy multiple times with 1 shot
Reload the cooker for overdrive. Surprised there wasn’t one video clip with it on.
Ah my favorite caner gun
For me Cooker is a weapon by itself weak but for combo is perfect.
Something like the flare gun in tf2.
I love blistering necrosis. Oppressors become much less of a threat
If not using the sludge pump, because this thing melts through the armor and slows the Oppressor down, so that it will never reach you to be a threat. Love it
Blistering vs Radiation, what's your take?

Is there other way to check the overclock that you have and don't have? (Not in the equipment menu)
unfortunately not
