What kind of Blacklights do you have in your room? I highly suggest checking these out!
Can you link this product? In your description you linked a 400nm LED
The cheapest 365nm I found on their site were like 300 dollars with a housing and mounting brackets and all. How'd you get the bulb only?
@Ballsweat McGee sorry about that, I’ll have to update the description. Link below is with the filtered glass lamp only for 39.99. If you want the unfiltered I believe you’ll have to contact them to require and I believe that one sells for more around $80 or so.

@@UVBlackLights Hi! I keep trying to make a reply but they keep disappearing. This is like my 3rd time commenting on this so I'll keep it short and sweet. Do you use your backlights as a nightlight? Even so, is it okay to use them as a night light? Is there a filter I can use to block the harmful UV light? I had mine on for about an hour and my skin started to tingle.
@@MAKEITINAMERICA111 I would not use it as a nightlight. There are filters to block out UV, but that would make the blacklight unusable, as it’ll only let out visible light and the objects you want to glow or fluoresce will not.

I’m looking for a black light that I can attach to my long arm quilting machine. When I’m sewing with white thread on white fabric it’s really hard to see where I have stitched and where I need to stitch next. I think if I shut off overhead lights and used the black light it might work well. Thank you!
Depending on the size you need, I would go the wildfire SableLED 24” with the gear link cable assembly, shown in this video.
Do you have a link to those magnetic clips? Also, is there some way to have these be able to be operated by battery, or batter handle or something? Some kind of accessory I havent found? I hope you can help. Thanks!
Not exactly the same, might want to measure the bulb width to see if it'll fit this, I believe this one is a 1" space amzn.to/46PVPgJ As for battery operated, unfortunately I don't think so.
Your description for links is very confusing which one was the best? So confused lol
Sorry about that, they’re both really good, but Wildfire only sells the filtered one now.
Hello, thank you for your informative video! I was wondering if you could explain which black light types get hot. I had a incandescent black light bulb and it was incredibly hot and seemed dangerous so I returned it. Next I got two energy efficient black light bulbs (the kind that look like spirals, probably LED) and the released a foul smell similar to burning plastic or rubber within minutes, even though they weren't hot. Now I am just really trying to figure out what black light to get this time, I want one that does not get hot, one that doesn't smell like chemicals, one that doesn't emit extra light (so I know now I need 365 nm), something that doesn't require a lot of electricity or assembly/installation. I keep hearing a lot of contradicting advice online such as buy the fluorescent bulbs because they are superior to the LED version, and that the fluorescent bulbs are obsolete and only get the LED ones. I also don't understand how wattage comes into play with black lights. Does that make their UV glow stronger, increase their light reach, or increase energy consumption or increase the extra visible light emitted. I'm very confused, do you have any advice? Thanks!
What type are you looking for? Bulb screw in type or 2’ 4’ linear? If you DM on IG @uvblacklights I can help with some links.
Mercury lamps still produce wider range fluorescence. 365nm makes glowing mostly cellulose.
Gediminas do you prefer fluorescent lamps over LED?

Thank you!! Means alot!
I just got my SableLED lamp (and my yellow paint sample! You're the best!) Would you please link the bi-pin power cord and the two types of clamps? Mahalo, Fuj!
Penny Benson no problem at all! Awesome, how do you like it? Looks like Wildfire doesn’t have them listed, you might want to reach out to them. I know they have the bi-pin cord, but not sure on the clamps. Although you can get those on amazon, search T8 clips.
Black Lights I can’t try the paint until I can plug in the lamp! I was going to retrofit an old fluorescent , but I like the cord idea better if it’s not too expensive.
Penny Benson ah ok! Well hope it works for you! It should cost around the same as a retrofit fluorescent or less without the hassle. I like the bi-pin though, so simple!
Where did you get the rainbow mandala one?
I’m not entirely sure where I got it from, it was a sample I had from years back. They’re all custom prints.
Where do you get the magnetic clips
Looks like they don't have them for sale. You can try to google fluorescent tube magnet u clip.
What blacklights do you think would be good for my funko pop collection i been looking for and dont know what kind to get
All depends how you’re setting it up I guess? The one in this video is great when you mount it on the wall. Or you can use blacklight strips.
I need something REALLY STRONG for my room. It is a small room, but everywhere I place it, most of my posters around the 2 don't glow. They are all 70s 80s blacklight posters. I use currently: Hyper Tough 24" Fluorescent Black Light, 17 Watts and 31" Mountable Fixture
It isn't a bad blacklight, but it doesn't really do the job. WHAT SHOULD I DO???
It sounds like a placement issue. I would get a blacklight for each wall you have a poster on.
@@UVBlackLights Thank you! Will do!
So I'm confused about the voltage thing can I just plug em in the wall
You need the gear link power cord to plug into the wall.
Do you have best blacklight for a large school cafeteria?
@chelsie Marie how big of an area and how much other ambient lighting is there? Can you message me on IG @uvblacklights might be easier to link some blacklights but I’ll need more info.
Bro! I'm doing a show and need to buy everything you've shown us in the video PLEASE. I need to buy two of the lights, plus the plug adaptors and clips to hold them onto a wall. Can you please get back to me with this info ASAP? Mahalo.
Yes, you can purchase them at wildfirelighting.com. The power plug is called Gearlink power assembly I believe and that comes with the clips.
Is it healthy to keep em on
For long periods at a time no I wouldn’t.
I'm looking for those bi-pin power cables seen at the 2:58 time mark. I found similar one on amazon but it was really short and didn't have the on/off switch on the cable.
@Jonathan Morley wildfire lighting has them for sale, you have to call and ask them if it’s not listed on their web store. Also, it doesn’t have an on and off switch, not sure where you can find those ones.
yea where can i find the filtered lamps for purchase?
You can get them @ Wildfire Lighting. 👍
This is similar to what I bought 15 years ago for my bedroom but mine is fluorescent so it does get hot after a while. I think its 12W. What I don't like is that we kinda have to be facing it to get the best glow effect of white clothes, makeup, etc and I feel that we have to also be fairly close... I was thinking of getting maybe a new LED 365nm floodlight to replace it... but its like 50W... so I'm concerned that it would be overkill? They do sell 10W models but those are 395nm. Hard to figure out the wattage I need, especially since I'm comparing old fluo 12W tech to new 10-50W LED tech. Room is approx 10' x 16'. I'm in Canada so wildfire products are not an option for me.
@Alain can you link me that 50W light? How come Wildfire isn’t an option for you? They ship to Canada.
@@UVBlackLights Considering this one: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08635F9CX to replace or in addition to my fluorescent one that is 14W tube. Do you think that changing to this 50W would illuminate even more the whites and glowie things in the bedroom than my 14W tube? Or would it just reach a greater distance? I don't think I've really understood where watts come in when shopping - might be a good idea for a video?
Yes it’ll illuminate more. More wattage more power.
Whats the best NM for making glow in the dark object glow faster? 365nm or 400nm? Given both are at the same distance from the glow in the dark subject
The best would be 365nm. True UV is best to charge glowing in the dark.

If you want to do it right, I would recommend Wildfire Lighting. All depends on your budget, but as a starter I would get a 2’ SableLED lamp and 1 gear link power assembly. If you don’t care about budget, I would get their UltraBlade series fixtures for any bedroom.

Hunter Heymann you can get them at Wildfire Lighting. You might have to ask them about it, don’t think they have them on their site yet.
What power cord do you need for the light? I want to use this in my mineral cabinet for fluorescent rocks. Thanks for your help!
@guitarboarder06 you would need a female bi-pin connector power cord or an UltraBlade fixture from Wildfire. Awesome idea btw! Thank you for watching!
Dude you seriously answered my head scratching question lol it’s going to be the perfect application for what I’ve been searching for. It’s very hard to find 365 that is reliable. And the built in filter this tube has is freaking brilliant. Should make the rocks give off an awesome glow!
So I just searched for the ultra blade fixture and couldn’t seem to find it?🤔
guitarboarder06 lol glad I can help! yes the filter is awesome! UltraBlade link store.wildfirelighting.com/wildfire_net/Items.aspx?code=UBS&key=cat
Black Lights would there be a cheaper option that would still be plug and play? Or is that fixture necessary? All I need to do is throw 365 along a shelf at specimens that are about 10 inches max away from where the source will be installed? Appreciate the help!
Is one of those enough for a 10m² room? I have music reacting blinking rgb-led-strips already installed, does combining both result in a nice effect, or do the normal leds break the effect of the blacklight?
It should be fine depending on what you’re trying to fluoresce. The other ambient light like RGB strips will ruin the blacklight effect.
@@UVBlackLights I'd put the blacklight in the middle of the ceiling of the room, with the intent, to fluoresce white parts of clothing, some neon-makeup and maybe I'll buy a wall curtain and paint with neon colors on it. So this room get's ready for a neon party in a very, very small format.
@@frankpirata1325 that should be good enough. If you have other ambient light I would suggest 2 of them. Since they are LED they don’t have a full 360 degree spread like a fluorescent bulb has.
you did you purchase those plugs @ 2:53 ? Newly sub'd btw :)
Those are Wildfire's Gear Link power cables store.wildfirelighting.com/gearlink-power-cables/

Hello there!! I have a recreational room that has nine ft ceiling and about 28x34 in size. It has six different outlets on the ceiling. I Would like the 365 nm black lights, but What would be the best choice for that size area at that height. If you could please give me some kind of idea what to buy that would be great!
Hello! What kind of budget do you have and what exactly are you using the blacklights for? Also, is there other ambient light going to be on when the blacklights are on?
It would be nice to stay under or around $500 if possible. I do have some black light strips on one wall but after watching your videos I do notice that blue light you are talking about and can see more than I was hoping too. We play a lot of ping pong in there and would like something over the table. Two outlets are above the table but over the left and right side of the table not in the center. So the ceiling has three on the left and three on the right. Also we have a dart board area as well, but the main reason why I built this garage those was to have this my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school and thought it would be cool to train or have small tournaments under the blacklights. It has six all glass garage doors and four ft over hangs so rain can't get in. Day time gives me more natural light and air flow. At night it's pretty dark around the area even with the glass doors so that's not much of a problem, but not having at least the 365nm lights seems to be the problem lol
@@shawngray7159 I would get two of these SableLED lamps in this video for the ping pong table and possibly 4-6 lamps for the rest of the room. You’ll also need the bi-pin power assembly to give the lamps power. Since you have only those two outlets you’re going to have to get creative on positioning the blacklight lamps. If you can squeeze a little more out of your budget I highly suggest taking a look at wildfire ligihtings blacklight fixtures. Any of the Effects Masters or Ultrablade fixtures.
I did look at some of the wildfire. If I did get the wildfire would I get the single or double. So I have six outlets on the ceiling and two on one wall and two on the other wall. I have many outlets just none on the longer walls. Just didn't know with the nine ft ceiling if one bulb would be enough if I put at least four on the ceiling or would they need to be a double bulb per outlet
@@shawngray7159 in a perfect world I would use the double bulbs 4 footers.

@traceyseymour5995 sounds good thanks!
Hello. I like your comparing and contrasting information and videos. I'm in the process of making art and I'm using RGBW and UV lighting on my frame. I've been doing research trying to find the best 365nm UV strip light or tape light. I'm having trouble finding the UV strip with all the features the I need.
I need a 24v, 365nm, ip65(or greater is preferred). The ones in the USA don't have one of those catagories, so I have to order from China or England, and I don't want such a long shipping time. Do you know if any lighting companies I can and should try? I'll find a 12v that's a 365 and ip67, or a 24v, 365, but an ip63, or a 24v, ip65 but 380nm. So a US supplier would be nice. The other thing I wanted to ask is do you know which SMD number gives the best 356 UV light, because the lumin chart that I found shows three like 10 different SMD numbers giving a wide variety of difference. So id like to buy the correct one for my art, whatever the best realistic form of UV lighting is in LED form that rivals the florescent tubes. The least visible light, with the brightest UV florescent activation possible in a LED Strip light. Thanks for you help.
@charley duncan Unfortunately, I don't know of any lighting company in the US that sells this exact strip you're looking for. I believe it's cause the demand is low and the cost is pretty high for something like this. The 395-400nm IP65 rated are a dime a dozen, cause the LED is super cheap. I think China is the only place to source what you're looking for. If I can find something in the US I'll let you know for sure. I wouldn't worry too much on which SMD LED is best. Typically the 5050 is standard. The numbers basically mean the size in millimeters, so a 5050 is 5.0mm in size. Hope that helps, sorry I couldn't help sourcing a UV strip for you.
@@UVBlackLights, thank you for replying so quickly. That's more info then I had before writing you. My other question I have is referring to the SMD numbers, I know they refer to the size of diode but I found these two charts with the lumin strength. I'm not sure if you deal with the RGBW light strips or not, I just don't want to be over powering or not enough light. If you could look at the two charts on these two links and let me know what you think, if you have any info to help decide what SMD numbers to use and stay away from. I did construction as my usual form of earning an income, and I'm over that whole field so I'm shifting into art. If don't have any experience in low collage lighting to begin with, let alone the specifics of it all, so any info you can share can help my process. Thank you again for your time and willingness to share and help with others.
@charley Duncan No problem at all, love to help! if you’re going to use both RGBW and UV at the same time, it shouldn’t really matter what SMD LED you go with, because you don’t want the RGBW light to be on that bright as any other lights will kill the UV effect, more ambient light you have, the less UV effect you will get. With that said, according to this chart the 2835c and 3030 has the most output. I don’t think these charts have anything to do with UV LEDs as you don’t measure UV output with lumens. If you’re worried on which SMD to get for UV then I assure you it doesn’t matter, just get the higher wattage output for more power. Hope that helps!
Yes, I forgot to say that the charts were just for the RGBW, and not the UV. I'm going to have 3 separate sections of lighting and each section will have a RGBW light strip and a UV light strip next to each other, both strips won't be on in the same section at the same time. There will only be one light on in each section at a time because the RGBW will always over power the UV strip, so there's no worry about that. I do appreciate your input and time and I'll give you my contact info once Im advertising my art on our website, Facebook Instagram and all the other platforms it'll be on so you can see the type of art I'm creating. Thanks again and have a good day.
Sweet no problem, yes let me know, would be interesting to see something new and different! Let me know what strip you decide on, I’ve been meaning to do a strip video but all I can find right now is 395nm, so might go with that in the near future. Where on wildfire can I find the bi pin power adapter?
Chipmunque I guess they haven’t listed it yet. You can call them and inquire. Otherwise google female bi pin power adapter.
Hey Dude, love your videos. I bought the convoy S2+ after watching your review. I previously had the nitecore MT1U which is also great. They both do the job perfectly but only small amounts of stamps at once. i need an accurate 365nm bulb with e27 screw in base. I need it for identifying certain ink types on postage stamps. I want to put it into my desk lamp and be able to review many stamps at once. I have tried a few different ones and they all were junk and more like 395nm even though they claimed to be 365nm. I even tried a uv pass thru filter but still no good. I have an old school setup with huge woods UV globe but its big and bulky and gets super hot. I am wondering if you have tested any bulbs/globes? I am considering spending the money on a risk reactor BB-365 bulb which is a flux emitter rather than a reflector and is also a nichia which seem to be fantastic in both the flashlights i have. Any help would be appreciated! Btw, im in Australia so must work with 240v
@troy laane Awesome! How do you like the Convoy S2+? As far as the e27 screw in, have you checked out my Sunlite 365nm bulb video? I’m not sure if they make a 240V though. The closest one I could find that looks similar to the Sunlite is the Lixada UV Bulb, which is 240V. amzn.to/3ggERxW The Sunlite isn’t SUPER bright, but it is an effective desk bulb for your application, in my opinion. @@UVBlackLights thanks for the fast reply! The Convoy s2+ is awesome. Its a bit more powerful than the nitecore MT1U. The sunlite one is unfortunately 120v, and that lixida one i have tried, its got too much purple light and isnt accurate for what i need.
I think im going to spend the $$ and go for the risk reactor BB-365. I cant find any proper reviews on it but its seems to be the best available on the market.
@Troy Laane No problem, if I'm awake I'll reply as fast as possible! Glad you like the Convoy, I still can't find anything better. I'm going to try out the Jaxman one though soon. The risk reactor looks really good, that price tag is pretty steep though. I'm sure it's good. I hope the warranty is good on that thing! I'm not sure when you'll be buying that, but I'll do some research and see if there is anything else out there for you. Also, make sure that optic lens on that risk reactor is silicone, otherwise it'll degrade to yellow overtime and totally ruin it.
@@UVBlackLights thanks for the help. Not sure how i can find out about the silicone part. There is another option which is the BB3W-365 which uses traditional LED, but this other one is supposed to be unbeatable. I am not able to find any other options or different manufacturers unfortunately. I was searching for ones with nichia UV LED as they seem to be best! Im thinking its unlikely they would use something other than silicone if nichia is industry leaders and you would hope so for that price!. Do you know of or can you find any other manufacturers who use nichia?
@@@TroyRene You should reach out to their customer service about the silicone, but agree they should be using the best with that price tag. Not sure of any other manufacturers that use Nichia for a screw in type bulb, unfortunately. I can’t really find anything that could compare to the risk reactor one. Let me know how it goes if you do decide to get it. Just keep in mind you can get a full on 2’ or 4’ 365nm LED fixture for cheaper than that.
Is it safe for eyes and skin?
It's fine as long as you don't stare at it, or exposed to it for a long time.
@@UVBlackLights So that means you can’t have them on like 24/7 or something?
@@elpinchejuliannn personally I wouldn’t want to be under it 24/7.
@@UVBlackLights Oh alright thanks bro
@@elpinchejuliannn anytime! Thanks for watching!
I dint get it, aren't this harmful??
Aren't this a disco thing?
What's their use other than tripping on trippy images?
Fluoresce objects. Rock hunting, scorpion hunting . Many things, or you can just look at trippy things lol
@@UVBlackLights
Daamn I just remembered about a specific type of rock that shine like crazy under black light! You probably know what rock I'm talking about.
Gee, you just made me remember something I learned when I was a child fascinated by geology.
I honestly didn't know about the scorpion hunting thing but I bet that's also pretty cool.
Well, I think I'm going to subscribe in order to know a little bit more about black lights. 😉
Oh wait, are they harmless??
@@magnumopus1628 yooperlite rock? I don't know there are a ton of rocks! Harmless? Just don't look directly into it and don't have it on 24/7 in close proximity.
Thank you for subscribing!
@@UVBlackLights
Yes, yooperlite! The one that's found in rocky shores. That's awesome.
So I could simply put the light on the wall behind my couch pointing to trippy objects in the room without having problems?
What about the skin?
Aren't eyes and skin the two things that uv lights could potentially damage?
In any case thanks for replying. 🙏
Yes eyes and skin, just don’t be too close to it for long periods at a time. I have my blacklights on in my videos, they are atleast 7 to 10 feet away from me.
No problem, I’ll respond to every comment unless I miss it. 🤙🏻
Wow why are these so expensive. I'm getting ready to do a black light room for all my blacklight rock posters and want only the posters to light up. Want a dark room so I'm thinking the 365nm is the only way to go but maybe I'm wrong. Give me your advice the cheapest but most effective way to go.
Yes, 365nm is the way to go for this. What’s your price range? Because if you go cheap fluorescents it might not be as good.
@@UVBlackLights Im not sure yet. I have been buying vintage black light posters so I'm spending more than I was planning on for those plus many other rock non blacklight posters I have purchased here in the last 3 months. Im pretty much done now with the posters as I have no more room , lol.
I hesitated on buying some 48 florescent blacklight blue last week . The were t12 GE.
Probably should have nabbed those. I have fluorescent light fixtures in my ceilings in my finished basement but figured coming from those might not be direct since up inside fixture. What would be best fixture placement or would these work. They're up in the ceiling with covers on not hanging as they are inset in ceiling. I want the brightest but dark room.
@@melovemusic69 if you already have fluorescent fixtures, you can just buy fluorescent blacklight tubes but you would have to keep the covers off. GE UV tubes are 365nm, so you’ll have the lowest visible light coming out.
@@UVBlackLights I figured you would say that since I missed out on an ebay sale that someone was selling 3 6packs for 48 each.
I just really should have put those in and use regular lamps for normal light. I was concerned about having tube lamps shipped, busted bulbs as slow as the post office goes these days. What about the led blacklight tape. I know you like the led but are any of those true 365nm.?
@@melovemusic69 They do have 365nm LED tape, but the ones I google are super expensive. They're not a dime a dozen like the 395nm ones.
Is the adapter interchangeable for LED and Fluorescent?
Only LED since it has a ballast inside. Fluorescent doesn't have a ballast inside of the lamp. How come you need both?
To use up old fluorescent BL bulbs in my craft room (when strong uv reaction isn't needed)... Old fluorescent base conked out can't find replacement base locally and online isn't fun/much better
@@alexar.h.5031 What size fluorescent BL bulbs do you have?
24in (well they measure 23in something but guess they round up like TV's and things do)
@@alexar.h.5031 Have you tried Home depot? They usually have cheap fluorescent fixtures.
Would the Wildfire 24” or 48” length bulb be more appropriate for a small space such as under a 12’ x 12’ enclosed canopy ? Looking for something for people to more or less pass through briefly at a Halloween event.
Either or will work, as long as there aren’t any other ambient lights on.
@@UVBlackLights thank you!
Anytime!
Where can I find a housing for the sableleds? Thanks
You can buy them in a housing from Wildfire Lighting.
@@UVBlackLights could you recommend a cheaper housing for the 4ft?
@@swampnutz5201 Check out Home depot, they might have some light fixtures for regular LED lamps, just make sure the LED lamps are self ballast.
@@UVBlackLights ok thanks.
@@UVBlackLights I actually ended up just buying their power cable for the lamp, and mounting brackets. I just screwed the brackets to a 2x4 and now have blacklight posters all over my wall and ceiling
Yes my name is Victor Maldonado I am visually impaired and I would like to buy one of these lamps if possible if you could please help me with a telephone number or website that I could purchase one of these lamps I will greatly appreciate it thank you
Hello Victor. You can get these from wildfirelighting.com. 😁
Luminol!!! Where’s the Luminol!!
haha! I don't even want to attempt luminol in my garage! Hope you're doing well and staying safe!
Black Lights later when I move from LA, I’ll want some black lights in my office to display some fine artwork from @Yumisartbox painted with UV paints🥰
@@disneyangelmark647 Moving where and when? I can give my feedback on which blacklights you're looking at no problem!
Black Lights thank you, I’ll call you when I do!!!
@@disneyangelmark647 Sounds good! Stay safe!
Is it bad to look at them?
What do you mean by look at them? If it’s close range you shouldn’t look at them. Don’t stare directly into them.
